In 2001, Mrs. Radha Bhat began a small eatery on the terrace of her home in Vidya Nagar, Hubballi to serve simple, fresh fare to students and working professionals in the neighbourhood who were yearning for home cooked meals. Slowly, but surely, the reputation of her Konkani seafood preparations, the fish sourced from the coastal town of Honnavar, began to travel, attracting not just those in the area but also visitors from far flung cities and towns in North Karnataka. Staffed only by women barring Mrs. Bhatt’s husband and son, Only Fish is a definite must-visit when in the city for its Konkani homestyle seafood fare served at extremely economical prices, as I discovered one rainy evening. Being somenone from kerala with staple food of boiled rice and fish, we used to literally survive because of this wonderfull place.
Bangda tawa fry and numerous plates of boiled rice and gravy, that too budget friendly.
So many memories about this place and the people, even the days in which they ran out of boiled rice because of us 😅 .
An emotional place for every keralite who studied in Kims i guess.
Thankyou for making me miss my home much less during those 5 years and looking forward to visiting this place again with my favorite people at some point in life ♥️

Not tamarind in konkani curries, but it's a fresh or semi dried Kokum, also called as Amsul. Same kokum is used in solkadi. Konkani food is awesome.
