Be it breakfast, lunch or dinner, Gurudatta Bhavan seems to draw in the denizens of Hubballi in numbers for its tasty fare that blends Mangalorean culinary style with influences of the land.     Fun Fact : Being a localite of Hubli, all the cars parked over there are not of the people who have come to the restuarant, it's a used car selling yard which is beside the hotel.😂

    Had breakfast there lot of times. Owner is such a humble person. I think his brother Dayanand Shetty who was at cash counter was a good cricketer and one more brother is in police department.

      Their elder brother who is retired as SP, is now settled in Mangalore, who too was a fantastic cricketer and was playing for Akay Industries those days.

    Nostalgic, I studied MBBS from KIMS hubli during our college days this was our favourite restaurant. The owner is a very humble gentleman. Every time I come to India however busy I am make sure to visit this place and relish on puri bhaji, Idli wada and misal here. 22 years down the line the taste and quality is still the same . Kripal sir thank you so much for bringing back our memories 🙏🏼

    Kripal, I come from North Karnataka, we are predominantly VEGETARIANS, we feel proud to use different vegetables and pulses in our food rather meat in our meal,
    SO do promote authentic north Karnataka vegetarian food than running behind non vegetarian which do not exist

    Thank you Kripal for refreshing my memories of Guruddatta Bhavan during my Hotel management days. I stayed very close by in a PG and coincidentally it belonged to Dayanand Shetty's in laws. So nice to see Daya sir after many years. He was a cricket coach too and a good friend of Mohd.Azharuddin( former Indian cricketer). Poori sagu is definitely a locals favourite there. Thank you for this episode.

    Man the nostalgia you just bought in. This was our daily breakfast place and the owner as well as servers were very polite. They would literally bring in the dishes our group used to have without even the need to place a order.

    This is my favourite Bfast joint since my college days, and now also if I go to hubli I never miss this joint for the food they serve. Proud of shetty brothers who very well maintained the bussiness of their father and made him proud. My cricket coach Dayanand shetty sir is one of the brother.     I was going to Gurudatt Bhavan between 1973-1976, while studying in P C Jabin college. Every time I go to Hubballi, I make a point to visit Gurudatt Bhavan. I am in Goa last forty years. I can't forget Gurudatt Bhavan

    Lived in Dharwad for a long time and studied at JG College of Commerce Hubli. Mr. Nityanand Shetty the current owner was my desk mate in the class. He was a good cricketer like his younger brother Dayanand shetty . Kripal try thier bisi bele bath.

    I being an KIMSian ,GURUDUTTA BHAVAN was the breakfast place every Sunday ...miss this place😍i lov the puri sagu here ......hubli.... waiting to come bck n hv breakfast in gurudatta bhavan .....well said sir.

    Even after 4 years away from Hubli I still can sense the smell and taste on screen. It's the delicacy one cannot forget. I also suggest visiting Karnataka Bhavan Hubli which is nearby Gurudat Bhavan and savour Puri and Masala Dosa.
