- This video will show you how to troubleshoot your Samsung solarcell one remote control if it has stopped working or responding. Firstly showing you how to check to ensure it is working or if the battery is just flat and next showing you how it changes and finally showing you how to pair it to your TV. This remote controller should be compatible with most modern samsung 4k, 8k, Neo QLED eight k, Neo QLED four k, OLED and Frame TV's Hopefully some of these solutions have helped with your Samsung television Smart television remote issues.

samsung's solar cell remotes are problematic. Don't buy theese tvs. they work well at first but suddenly their bluetooth range decrease to minimum. and this method doesnt work. they keep working by infrared. if you dont use voice command you may not notice its broken. i've got my 4th remote by waranty. in the end it is broken again.

Mine just not work at all, put usb cable in, little red light blinking really fast when it should stay red when charging. Open the remote by peel off the bottom stickers, take the screws off and open it, then put it back. Work for me, maybe something loose inside but that’s what I did to make it work again.

quick question. mine is fully charged, however, it only seems to work when it’s plugged in to usb-c cable but soon as I take it out it stops working again.
Sounds like a battery issue. Probably is charging up but not putting out enough power to do what it needs to. Probably call Samsung and they may replace it.
My remote can just be charge through USB (it doesn't have a solar cell) but I need to charge it everyday, how can I resolve?
Sounds like the internal rechargeable battery could need replacing. Maybe contact Samsung, they might be able to sort it out
Anyone has a problem where it doesn’t sync and red light just keeps blinking for a while. I got super close to tv and then sat remote at base of tv. Finally connected.

Hi so basically my remote is working but when I press the home button it jumps to Netflix or if i try to click on the volume it turns the whole tv off and the off button doesn’t work also the up button doesn’t work either so can you please help ❤❤😢

The problem I'm having is for some reason my remote only works when I have it directly in front of me TV. I Literally have to almost touch the remote to my TV for it to work. It used to work from anywhere in my living room. It's fully charged and it's paired with my TV. It'd been doing this for almost a week.

if your remote isnt paired to the TV how can you 1st turn the TV on... ? theres no buttons on the TV itself..

Usually even if the remote isn't paired, the power button should still work because it can use infrared to send the signal so you just have to point it at the TV. Also all Samsung TV's do have a power button on the TV usually located next to the red indicator light, it's just very small.
When the pairing option comes bring the remote as close as possible to your tv it will pair, using voice search is problematic even in 6 month old tvs

my remote was already paired with the TV, however I accidentally hit those two buttons "return and play/pause" together and tv is constantly in bluetooth search mode. The remote stopped being responsive apart from turn on and turn off tv, no other buttons work. TV was unplugged but still once on, keeps on searchin for some bluetooth devices. and it does only it , tv is unresponsive apart from this search and off and on.
Resetting remote doest work as its engagne in this blue tooth search but cannot pair again. any cluewhat to do apart from new remote?
Contact Samsung. They might be able to fix it

When I exit out of Netflix or Prime with my Samsung smart remote it goes to Samsung TV and I can’t exit out of that to my regular TV

Remotes that I have opened in the past generally have involved going around the edges with a small flat head screwdriver to pop the clips from the casing. Good luck 🤞

There was a comment previously that said they called Samsung and did some trouble shooting and was told that it was completely dead and needed to be replaced
What if with new batteries infrared is still not working. It is regular smart RCU not this solar unit.
It is likely something on the main board is damaged. Also check the battery connections in the remote aren't corroded
I have a quick question. My remote is charged, and paired, and there is a red light upon clicking. Sometimes it just lags, when you for example scroll on CZcams, it just goes fast without clicking. Rarely it barely working like you click and nothing happens on TV. No idea why it happens.

My controller doesn't work at all unless it's plugged into a charger. A tv notification indicates that the controller is fully charged, but I'm able to use it. Once I unplug the controller, it goes back to not working.
It sounds like the battery xoube faulty. Might need to see if you can get it fixed or ordered a replacement remote.
How do you know the solar cell si charging?
Unfortunately there is no indicator on the remote to show it is changing. But you can check if it has power using the test in the video or through the settings on the TV.
The keys on my control to change the channel stopped working, the red LED does not turn on when I press any key, the rest works fine, any ideas?

If you have tried the trouble shooting in the video and that hasn't worked you might need to contact Samsung
Go as near as you can to the TV, try pairing again
How do you pull this remote apart to clean it
Unfortunately I have never done this before so I couldn't recommend how to do it. I do remember seeing a video recently on CZcams about this, so there are videos out there to do this.

Sounds like a the battery or circuit board are fried. Probably going to need to buy a replacement.

It could be a lot of things. Check the charger port to make sure that nothing was stopping the charger cord from making a good connection, because if may of been sitting with the cord in it on charger but no power was getting in the remote. Otherwise if it was charging, the circuit board could of had a surge and been damaged. You may need to open the remote to see if you can see any visible signs of damage.
So how how am I supposed to turn on the tv and trouble shoot if the remote dosent work ?
If you can see the remote flashing (as demonstrated in the video) you know that the remote is working and the TV is the issue. If it doesn't flash it's following the steps to try and get it working. If they don't fix the issue, it's likely the remote is faulty. Check out the other comments and see if there are any additional solutions if you still can't get it working. Otherwise you will need to replace the remote

My device doesn't work without the wired charger.. I don't know what the solution is.. It must be connected to the charger all the time so I can use it 😩

Hello friend, I have a problem. I left the control charging (6 hours) and it doesn't want to pair with the TV. I mean, the television and the control are still new and I'm still in the cell phone and control step, and I can't do anything.

If you have tried all the steps in the video and the remote and tv are still new, it's best to give Samsung a call. Hopefully it's all under warranty. Good luck 🤞

My remote sensor only work with powwr button with other one they do not turn on
The other buttons are likely damaged. Probably need to get a replacement remote

Hey my remote is broken my dog peed on it and i cleaned it dry and now it wont charge and wont work
The main board is likely damaged. You could try and open it to see if it is repairable. Otherwise there is a link in the description where you can get a replacement or you can get a replacement directly through Samsung. Good luck 🤞
This Samsung remote is GARBAGE. Throw it in the trash, then buy a cheap Universal Remote Control .
