The amazing cinematography and impeccable sound design makes this film truly interesting. Acting was alright. The Slender Man itself in the short film was very well made. The costume really pulled off the right look, which is extremely hard to do in Slender Man short films. The constant chill factor and the "edge-of-your-seat" feeling, not knowing when to expect a jumpscare, was executed flawlessly. Genuinely one of the best Slender Man short films, and or, horror short films I've seen on CZcams for a long time.

one tiny criticism. that last shot of slender man, even before that wonderful special effect, his arms needed to be elongated; then apply that special effect. in fact you could probably do that now. its his elongated arms that give him the appearance of a stick figure; a slender man. do that and I think you have near flawless film there. thanks for the film.

How did he not know about Slenderman when he was constantly looking up his dreams and browsing the web, psychology texts etc?
It seems that Slenderman wasn't a widelu known story in the context of this film, so there wouldn't be as much information about him because he wouldn't be a well-known creepypasta. Plus, he may not have known exactly what to search for.

@@mandielou well, in the last one I dreamt my entire house was on fire except for the kitchen and my cat was in there calmly eating. At one point he looks up at me and says. "You know this food tastes just the way it looks. I am very dissapointed in you."
I just found your channel and I have to say you are so underrated. I just finished watching The Secluded House and it's been years since a found footage movie actually scared me, yours terrified me. You all deserve so much more recognition for your work, you're absolutely incredible.

I kinda freaked out watching that . especially when one guy get attacked towards the end. Another one worth watching is unaired it's a found-footage one about this fraudulent Ghost Hunter is trying to be like Zac beggins then it gets real he's that kind of ghost hunter that puts hides things to make noises and stuff and as they're doing all that stuff then that's when they notice Things Are getting real kind of creepy in the end

Even though this was quiet simply scripted the cinematography and editing element was really spectacular. The ending left me with a chill! Also great sound effects. Very proud of your work boys :)

Great tension building, bleak atmosphere & lighting, very believable acting (this is where a lot of small indie movies don't make the grade), good tight story...and I like the camerawork, as well.
The setting was vey good as well: no hokey "haunted houses" - just normal, believable locations (love the library!) or tacky jump scares - everything is well measured.
Looking forward to checking out your other productions.

I don't know if this was intentional or not, but the menacing look of the headlight at 14:25 hinted to me that she wasn't whom he thought she was. I feel like that was a psychological seed being planted there: "If they are supposed to be the protagonists, then why am I being prompted to fear their method of transportation? What's so menacing about the car? It isn't him, so it must be her" was my thought process the first time I watched.
Well done. I've watched dozens and dozens of these short horror films and your's is the best I've seen. Excellent soundtrack and acting performances.
These kinda movies scare me even when I am sitting right next to my backyard in a sunny afternoon. xD

This film definitely fits into the Slender Man's theme behind the mysterious origin and its presence. Even if he's faceless, reminds me of a mannequin. However, as with someone who doesn't have a face, it is enshrouded in a sense of mystery of who's the faceless being, which apparently might have a supernatural or alien origin. Especially when it was someone's drawing the student later discover in his investigation, the mystery of how this student could conjure the faceless man in his dream without knowing anything about it or where it came from. Definitely spooky. More spooky than the one with a disfigured, distorted, or an animated face. Great job with the film and acting.

This was very well done. The shots are nice and professional, set up the scene well, and the tone was as creepy and tension filled as it should have been. My only problem is that the Slenderman itself did not exactly fit in with the creepy setting, and actually looked a little funny. Other than that, this is one of the best Slenderman short films I've seen :)

Freeze Frame Films I don´t think the funny Slenderman was your problem, the character itself is hard to make scary, because he isn´t anymore (in my opinion he never was). Slendy problem outside, the short is outstanding and the quality is superb =).

It has very little to do with the height of the creature and more about the arms and the supernatural evil from it~ for me anyway.
Wow. The best short film I've seen so far, hands down. The Opening sequence was brilliant, creating that sense if dread without having to show everything, and tying it to the main story. The cinematography was great, and the pacing as well. I love how you made the dreams blend with reality until we weren't sure which was which, that was the real terror! I also love how you didn't just go for loud jump scares, but built up tension tremendously and created a sheer sense of dread rather than instances of scares. Also props for not end in with the usual jump scare, but a chilling reveal. Bravo all the way. I hope to make films this good in the future!

Everything was absolutely spot on perfect until the Slender Man showed up near the 7 min mark. He looked small for such a strong portrayal of unnatural power. Still terrifying in atmosphere though, I'm glad I found this great work of film!
Better than guy in a morphsuit though. Those tentacles were legitimately terrifying, was not expecting those.
K&AGamers I think its because if you're gonna do this legit with organic acting its very hard to find willowy 9ft tall humans, lol. its a great job, very suspenseful. I really liked it.

Absolutely amazing! I really enjoyed this. You guys did a good job portraying Slender in an accurate way. This gave the chills, as well as making me slightly paranoid. This is very psychological and very well made.

Slendy needed to look more like himself. He was, and always has been, set up as this 7-8 foot tall monster with freakishly long arms. Here, he looks like a taller-than-average guy in a costume. It's not the worst it could have been, but it still wasn't immensely scary. Other than that, this short was absolutely phenomenal. Fantastic atmosphere, great acting, brilliant use of music and sound effects, everything other than Slenderman was great.

Cool atmosphere, great shots, very well-built. But the paramount was forgotten, which is bringing the real slender man about. By no means he gives the air of being slenderman, at least not the monster portrayed in many other movies I’d seen. Actually what I saw was a fineass dressed in a suit with a mask looking like he was going to a masked ball. Despite this failing, the short is pretty cool and deserves more views

How long did it take you guys to shoot it?
The total production time for this film was 8 months. For the shooting side of things, it was about a week of filming.

that actor for josh was perfect, reminded me of me. and i got caught up in the slenderman thing when it very first started from the marble hornets series to the point i was obsessed. only thing i didnt absolutely love was slenderman himself. its been said in the comments several times 'its hard to find a 9 foot guy', but thats one of the things that makes him scary, his unnaturual appearance but still almost passing for just some guy from far away. think 'doug jones' and ur on the right track

This was amazing! I am so happy someone finally made a Slenderman movie! Just wish it could have been longer, all the effects and ambiance were wonderful and gave me a few good scares, the acting was nice, and that plot twist!!!

This was just as good as the slenderman movie that recently came out in theaters the two cast members were good together they had great chemistry together felt bad for Josh not a good ending for poor Josh be interesting to see if this girl can somehow save her friend maybe you guys can do a part 2 .
