Today I am covering the possible end of the Slim Thick trend for influencers. Kim K, who arguably started this trend, has had some recent changes, and it may mark the beginning of the end to this era of unnatural slim thicc bodies that influencers have been getting through surgeries and procedures. I will explore a little bit of the origins of this trend, the difference between the natural version of the look, and the artificial version.
Disclaimer: Natural body types are not trends, and you are beautiful the way you are born. This video is about body types that are achieved through surgery, and not naturally. Plastic surgery goes through trends of what is popular to do surgically.

Today’s video starts by briefly going over the recent trends in plastic surgery for the last few decades until now. Then I would like to jump right into talking about the influencer slim thicc body type pioneered by Kim Kardashian and the video vixens. This is a body type that is expressed by a large very round, prominent butt, thin chiseled abs, and large bust. This look is usually achieved with altered hips to be wider, a BBL to make the butt bigger, and Sculptra is used to widen and sculpt other parts. The thighs are the big differentiator because the thighs are typically thinner on those who are surgically enhanced. Another way to tell if someone is artificially slim thicc is by looking at their abs. It is generally not natural to have a lot of fat in the butt naturally, but still be able to maintain a low enough body fat % to have visible abs. In a naturally slim thicc body, they would have a flat stomach, but in the case of influencers, they have liposuction to remove excess fat and create etched abs. It can be naturally occurring, but not to the severity of influencers. I show some examples in the video.
After going over some new photos of Kim Kardashian, she now has a more natural look than in recent years. We can see that an upper portion of her butt was removed, and this looks different from her previous looks. I suspect a fat graft removal and possible use of Sculptra to even out the look.
We go over how she has influenced, not only her own look but also the look of her sisters and the plastic surgeries that her siblings chose to get. Khloe gets her own section in the video, and even Khloe has some new changes to her body to be more proportional. I explain what she may have done to get a reduction. Kylie is the next sister I cover, She takes a lot of influence from Kim, and they often tried to take photos to accentuate how similar they looked, however, recently while being pregnant, kylie may end the look, and will put surgeries and showing off a slim thicc physique. Over the next few years, we may see a diminished trend of the slim thicc body with the extreme BBL’s of the past.
I give a prediction of what kind of plastic surgery trends we will see in the near future, and what that might look like in today’s society. It may end up being a more healthy look.

I’ll never forget watching the movie “white chicks” and watching the changing room scene when the girl starts crying because she thinks her butt looks big.
Like does anybody else remember when saying you had a big butt was an insult?!
Definitely, there was this one scene in the 2000s movie 'mean girls' where Regina bumped into some girl in the cafeteria and she yelled at Regina saying "watch where you're going, fat-ass!"
It wasn't meant to call her general body fat, as it made her cover up her behind in embarrassment (if I can remember it correctly)
I do remember that. I had a big butt all my life compared to my body.. but guys definitely liked it lol, despite the small butt trend. But mine was natural. Not overdone. Goes to show.. natural looks good, no matter the trends.
Honestly I’m so happy that I can find clothes that fit now I don’t mind this trend 😂 in high school I had the big butt which was synonymous with being fat. I was not fat, I have wide hips and a small waist and before my kids a fairly flat stomach. NOTHING FIT. Jeans were a nightmare.

Who invented internet influencers were at Kardashian-Jenner, so you understand how it got to this point.

I’ve heard BBL’s are very dangerous and that people have actually died doing this procedure.
Yeah it’s absolutely possible to die (and very quickly) as the fat being injected can be accidentally injected into the blood stream (at least I believe that’s how I’ve heard it can kill).
It one of the most dangerous procedures yes.
These celebs have very obvious spherical implants. That's not BBL.
Yes it’s the single most deadly cosmetic procedure in the world with an overall 3% mortality rate because a main artery runs right through your buttocks muscle and there’s no way to tell exactly the location, if they inject the fat into it you’re dead
They’re the most dangerous plastic surgery
I can’t even imagine how painful all these procedures must have been
Probably very well drugged up during and after.

Yes. Proportion. Huge rack? Huge butt? Pulleeze. Who cares. Waist in proportion to bust/hips is where it's at. 🙄
I agree. Even if that means enhancing the boobs for example, if they are really small compared to the rest of a body...you know, making a body proportional if it is not like that naturally.

@@ray1947 lol same
i’m HERE for this being on the way out. i’ve always naturally had the “slim thick” body type and I was always made fun of in my teenage years… being called “thunder thighs” and now it’s trendy. HOWEVER, I saw a photo of tammy hembrow when describing bbls and that woman has spent countless hours in the gym for years to get a butt like that, she did not buy it.
Tammy has enhanced her ass and it was already brought to light years ago when she passed out at Kylie’s party. Not implants but she’s done stuff sister :)
I have to disagree about Tammy Hembrow's body. She does work out, but I 100% believe she has had a bbl. She has a couple of Instagram photos where she is squatting in bikinis and you can see the fat sitting funny in her butt. Even if she has built muscle, it's definitely not natural.
@@taradavey I've been following her for like 10 years, I promise you she hasn't. It's gotten bigger and bigger over the years because of hard work. I live in Miami, I see A LOT of bbls everyday and I have never ever seen one that actually mimics what you can build in the gym. It never looks real.
@@SanelaEstrella I still disagree. If you look at her before-training photos, and look at her now, there is no way you can build that much of a booty without building sizable hamstrings as well, and she hasn't. She may have had less fat transfer than what you see in Miami, or maybe she had filler or other augmentation, but you can't build that much muscle (in that shape and fullness) without heavy weighted compound movements being involved, and those movements also target the hamstrings. She's lost weight now and her butt is much smaller as well, which shows loss of upper FAT not muscle - including fat that was transplanted. She didn't have fat in her glute area in her before photos. Each to their own opinion but I don't believe she's natural.
Kim didn’t start the slim thick trend she bastardised it. Black women and Latina women have had this body type for centuries.
just further proves how kim and co made it a trend, cuz a natural body ain't a trend, its just the body we had and rocked before all these insta wannabe's tried to imitate it and claim it.
Just like they tried to say Kim started the corn rows straight backs trend.
THISS PREACH!!!
Black and Latina women are no longer natural.
exactly that!
It’s INSANE how they continue to deny having any surgery done like, it’s just not possible. Like does Kim really expect us to believe she got that ENORMOUS butt from doing squats? It’s just not possible.
@@christineceralde it’s absurd that they just blatantly deny it. Absurd.
Yea kim knows shes lying
Nothing is wrong with surgery, maybe she's just scared to be judged if she admits it, but they don't need to announce had something done after having surgery
@@Ta_inaaa She does not have to tell anyone but selling products & claiming that they got her the body instead of the surgeon is just plain unethical & people are allowed to call her out on it. Teenage girl suffer from body dysmorphia now more than ever because of celebs giving false body goals.
You can tell when someone has a naturally big butt and when it's fake cause the fake one always looks like a dish sitting on top of a table, like someone placed it on someone's legs, as if it's a body cast.
i feel second hand anxiety for all the girls who just got their body done at the height of the bbl epidemic😭
I know that’s why it’s so important to love yourself as you are I’m not against plastic surgery but there’s a difference between tweaking some things and changing your whole entire body shape it takes the Kardashian one photo of their bodys being different and the trend will change 😬
🤣
Lmao not epidemic
Yes, I was thinking that. The whole entire time while watching this video
Why does it matter when someone got it? Someone could’ve wanted a BBL for 7 years but unable to afford it until they got popular. You should be more worried about girls who got it JUST BECAUSE OF the trend
I’m so glad that you mentioned the naturally slim thick women. It is possible!
Kim didn’t make “slim thick” a trend. Much like many other stars, she noticed what was popular in the black community, and knew she would stand out by emulating it. The slim thick “trend” is on its way out for her now that she is trying to renew her image and reclaim what would be more accepted outside of the black community.
Exactly 🎯

Thank u! Well said!!! Not to mention she stated she was obsessed with Jlo and her body and wanted to be just like her- right around the time she was a twig like P. Hilton. For black women and latinas like myself this won't stop trending cuz it's in our genes. 🤷♀️

It's so horrific how bodies can literally become trends. Women starved themselves half to death in the 90s and 2000s to be as skinny as possible, now they're being operated on half to death to have the bbl look. It's so dangerous to perpetuate body trends of any kind, because they're so dangerous. It's not right for a woman's natural body to be trendy in one season and not trendy in another. Kim is smart. She knows her status as a sex symbol is gonna end, and her status as a humanitarian/law student/politics is her next career goal. She exploited her looks as much as she could and now is ready to move on.
Makes me wonder if Kanye likes her body that way and she might’ve done it for him.
Such a good point!
I disagree and I wouldn’t jump to speculate but I feel she may have had a health scare or just an epiphany regarding putting her safety at risk again and again as the mother of four children. I think she is doing what’s best for her and whatever her reason is it’s awesome if it makes her feel good. Also I don’t think Kim Kardashian needs to alter her body for any job in the world.
I dont think so. The woman just understand trends. The massive butt is not the look anymore. Personally I don't think it was ever very flattering
Except she's not smart enough to become a lawyer and is realising she can't buy her way onto the Bar. Her entire career has been that of a culture vulture and she will never live that down.
I really hope the extreme fake butt trend is going away because I’ve always found it grotesque, especially when paired with an overly thin tummy and the weirdly shaped hips that you talk about. How anyone finds that attractive is beyond me.

I don’t think the thick trend is dying, but people are just finally realizing that the bbl body doesn’t look good or natural, so they’d rather make the waist smaller than the butt unnaturally bigger. Plus, people have stopped caring about the thickness of a body and more about the shape.
You can't shrink your waist except you remove ribs or simply make ur hips wider(fat transfer)
@@genevaxo you actually can with weight loss lol
@@genevaxo Not entirely true, there’s always corset training/waist training. Plenty of people do that

This is just as toxic tho, like you can't really change the size of your waist it is your bone structure and yes you can have a smaller waist but with weight loss and you will automatically lose the weight in other areas so if you Don't naturally have a small waist it is almost impossible to get one unless you get pastic surgery
Also you can't really change your body shape that much anyway you can workout lose Weight and gain muscles in certain areas but you can't change the shape of your hips nor the shape of your waist so this trend is even more toxic because a big butt is more achievable with working out
I’ve been thinking about this for a bit now, that BBL popularity is over… but I would be careful giving credit to the Kardashians for it. Rather, I think they’re following the natural order of things that a lot of us have already noticed (hence the increased number of BBL video analyses on YT). I think it’s that the aesthetic has just been over done. Now that it seems like EVERYONE has one, it’s no longer “special” and I think now - just like in makeup and skincare - we’re seeing an increased interest in toning it down and being more natural, having a more clean, natural aesthetic… and i think it’s just now being carried into body types! I don’t think the Kardashians are “influencing” this, rather that they’re BEING influenced with the times.

Can we start appreciating hip dips now? I think it’s about time to make body flaws a thing now such as dark circles, acne, stretch marks, smile lines, etc

I should’ve used the word “imperfections” instead, it wasn’t my intention to get you guys upset I just wanted to make a comment about bodies that are not perfect and sculpted like these Instagram models.

I can’t wait for people to realize that it’s sexier to be confident with what they were born with than to be a mold. Taking pride in being an individual rather than being the same, focusing on our intellect and kindness rather than our outer appearance and just striving to be the healthiest version of ourself. We as women deserve to be valued and loved on a much higher platform than our bodies, it’s sick.

Why would anyone surgically alter their body in such a grotesque way? It's sad what women will do just to stand out or fit in. This is actually self harm fueled by low self esteem.
I just hope we don't go back to treating women who are naturally shaped like this the way we did in the early 2000s

Never again. We’ve come so far.
to me, all these very minor tweaks are going to be even MORE hard to recognize. leading to more young ladies thinking it’s natural and lead to thoughts of “why can’t i look like that”. before at least we KNEW it required intensive surgery, but now we have no idea 🤷♀️
Yasss rae! I watch ur vids and I'm such a hugge fan!!!!
People like to complaing about everything, if its too much or too litle
Bruh this gave me chills, I feel so bad for women feeling like they have to keep up with these impossible ever changing standards
I think regardless if it was announced to be surgery or not, If it’s the hottest thing on the block and we keep talking about it, and hyping it up, The younger generation and the generation behind that is going to continue to see how it look and if it looks good to them they are still gonna want The procedure done. It’s all about what we keep making popular and what we keep talking about. It’s so many people that saying that’s fake that’s fake that’s fake. It’s still a lot of young ladies know what it is and want it. The media probably flipped it on us to get us to talk about it to get us to popularize it. To get everyone to want to get it done. Have anyone ever thought about it like that, that maybe we are the problem.
I totally get what you’re saying, I do. But I wouldn’t say that we have no idea about a procedure entirely. It’s informative plastic surgery videos like these that will aid in keeping people’s body image expectations at bay - specifically young ladies like you mentioned. And even if we didn’t have the information that we do, let’s just appreciate that a beauty standard is shifting in a *slightly* more natural and attainable direction versus the opposite 💗
"bodies are not a trend."
LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK MA'AM
It’s just insane to me that women’s body shapes can go in and out of style. Why can’t we just accept we’re all different and to rock what we got. 😅
Perfectly said 💯
Cuz women keep creating these trends and then bully one another into conforming.
I feel like slim thick has always been in style? ppl acting like this just happened. I hear music from the 90s n 80s talking ab curvy women… like I think that’s just the standard tbh
@@Basedgawdess black communities in the 90s were supportive of the body type but white women then were expected to be sickly thin. It took a long time for that body type to be popularized in white spaces.
Exactly, there are beautiful women in all body shapes and sizes
The most important things I've ever heard for my self esteem is "You don't have to be pretty like her, you can be pretty like you." And "Flowers and Christmas lights look nothing alike and yet they're both very beautiful." It's a real crap chute trying to chase a type of beauty that is incongruous to the type of beauty you have naturally.
This is such an empowering comment. Thank you very much for that! 😍
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing
We are all different and differently pretty.
The trends make us all the same and ruin what makes us truly beautiful
Awww, I love that.
I don't want to fit beauty standard like who had the right to set these st*pid standards in the first place. My opinion of myself is way important than others opinion of me. If it can help you, just imagine yourself alone in this world, you would barely even put on some clothes, right? You wouldn't care how you looked, so go from there, it's your life, you shouldn't be living it for others. Think like you are the only one who lives on this earth, and you will free yourself from a lot of things, it works cuz i really did free my self. Now I only keep fit, hygienic and neat appearance, that's all. What you need in this world is to be mentally and physically strong thats why I'm planning to lift weight and take martial arts training, I want to be a strong woman who isn't afraid to walk at night by herself. That's the goal I set for myself.
Great video, and thanks for commending the CZcamsrs who you referenced for the information they contributed :)
I love how you explained all the procedures realistically and in a non-biased way. Younger girls need to hear and see these kinds of break-downs. I have no problem with cosmetic surgeries, but when I was younger I had unrealistic body expectations, mostly due to the fact that I didn't realize or understand what is natural, and what is inhanced through procedures.
Had I had this kind of explanation back then, maybe I would have felt more confident in my own body. I was a teenager at the time that the super-skinny look was IN, at least in Europe, and I was never thin when I was younger (at around 24 I slimmed down naturally, through sports). I always felt like my waist "wasn't normal" because I just didn't have a really flat stomach or tiny waist. Looking back, I wasn't abnormal, I just wasn't the "ideal fgure" for that trend, which is fine.
Now I am much slimmer, naturally, and being more athletic than I was before definitely made me 100% more confident and gave me what I wanted as far as my body is concerned. Mountain biking and hiking, that was all I needed. For me, that is enough, but if someone else feels that surgery will give when what they wan, I support that as well, as long as they go about it safely and go to medical professionals, because safety and health is the most important thing to remember. :)
Lorry, there is clearly something new happening in plastic surgery world, Nicole Kidman, Demi Moore looking decades younger in Oscar's&party, what is going on?!?!?! 😳
I just now realised that the Kardashians MUST get all their jeans, pants, dresses altered to fit their unusual measurements, right?! I feel like even most people with normal, average bodies struggle to fit a pair of jeans that fits well, imagine if you have this level of body (dis)proportion?
I mean yes! They’re rich af and probably have stylists and tailors on hand
I once saw a video on here talking about ‘bbl fashion’ and the youtuber showed us an online clothing store where all the ‘clothes’ are catered to fit only those with that body type. And the models were all white or light skinned women with the bbl body type
@@rainespells1273 You've gotta remember that there's a difference between a normal curvy body and a BBL body. The proportions aren't the same, so you need a different kind of tailoring.
To be fair, as someone who struggles to find pants that fit easily, a tailor isn't expensive at all and can really do wonders
All celebrities get their clothes tailored.
I wonder if Kim has any regrets regarding her surgeries because original body was just fine in my opinion.
Her original body and face were perfect.
Prolly Regretting it now 😬
I wonder if it has anything to do with her split from kanye
I agree, never understood why Kim or anyone for that matter would get a BBL or silicone injections. BBLs are very risky. And as far as butt injections they are risky as well but also if someone gains weight with those injections, the butt gets huge and the size looks ridiculous.
@@christinagorak1361 that’s probably why Kiley didn’t ever go out of the house for her entire pregnancy.

My best friend is half-Jamaican, and is one of those women blessed with that slim-thick body type naturally - she has six-pack abs AND a perfectly round, full bum with an hourglass shape 🥰 that said, her arms and thighs are fairly thick and she definitely doesn’t have a thigh gap. Regardless, she can *stop* traffic in a dress.
I just console myself with the fact that since I’m 6 feet tall and broomstick-built, I might not impress in a dress like her but I can play to my strengths in pantsuits etc. Different body types are beautiful in different ways, and I think simply chasing trends without careful self-examination for your personal reasons can be a slippery slope, not just for your self-esteem but for your health too
100%. I love the natural variation in all of our bodies 🥰
Well said. Whenever I neared age 40 is when I began to realize that my self worth is more about myself as a kind and decent human being, rather than my looks that won't last for my lifetime. Only after I starting working on myself is when I truly became concerned about others.
Pantsuits look amazing in tall people, also dresses.
I also have a slim thick look naturally but with skinny thighs with thigh gap, wide hips and big butt. My waist though is slim but I do have belly fat. So I think different variations of this look are possible, naturally. But not in this very extreme way like the kardashians promote it.
I personally really love more sleek looking Scandinavian fashion but I’m petite and have those wide hips so it just looks completely off on me! But it would probably look amazing on you! Unless you're gentically very blessed, abs are only visible if your fat percentage is low enough for abs to be visible. That may vary from person to person. Excercise is not crucial for that to happen but nutrition is.

Flash forward and I love my hips! I think that they give my body the right amount of shape and it is one thing I actually really like about myself for a change!

I mean a lot of us did love our natural bodies until our kids ruined it.... so plastic surgery was to get rid of loose skin and try to repair what once was great! (Some of us anyway! Obviously not true here with the Kardashians...) and a lot of people who do skin treatments are also just trying to look how they did when they were younger too. Getting older and aging is tough!
Easier said then done hun.
As someone who has naturally large wide hips and small waist, it was weird seeing how it went from being unattractive to when I was younger to the point I got bullied for my large hips. Then it became the thing everyone wants and now I feel people it's going back to the thin body types. To be honest at first it was nice to get validation from people liking it, but when I really started to think about it, it's so messed up for body types to even be a trend. People think they can treat their body like fast fashion. Even if you think about the natural tweaking that you mentioned with Kendal. Its still kind of sad that you have to tweak this amazing natural body that can do everything to fit this idealised body type. The way you are proportioned is for a reason, it's your body. I have had to remove myself from peoples opinions on my body type, even positive and negative. At the end of the day they are just opinions. I love that there is also a trend now to just be accepting of your body, and maintain being fit and healthy mind and body. Hopefully this trend catches on, and that fashion recognises and starts addressing how to dress specific body types and design clothes for them.
Beautiful comment 🙌

Lorry, You saw this coming ten miles away! I am tired of the trendy body influencers. They have them means to reverse the work they had done. But all the “sheeple” that follow the trends get stuck with these overdone looks.
the trend may go back to uber skinny since Gen Z loves the early 2000s vibes. I personally had an eating disorder during this time in college, as I was trying to be Paris skinny. So not good to force this on women. I legit passed out in a lecture hall because I was so malnourished.
i hope we can continue the trend of just loving our natural selves.
I’m so incredibly sorry !
This is my worst nightmare as well. Being a little girl in the early 2000s and seeing my older sister and mom struggle with eating disorders is a big part of why I have body dysmorphia today. We really don’t need to go back to those dark days.

Age 18 I was put down for my big booty. Age 48 I get hit on for it. Here's what I figured out. It's not HOW you look that matters, it's how you FEEL about how you look. If you feel beautiful, you will radiate inner beauty, perfection is not required. Please take excellent care of yourself.
Ohh I remember the times of big booty meaning you were fat. Now....I feel it's its own being. So much positive (negative to me) attention it's too much some times. Though I wouldn't want it back to being teased for it. Make up your mind people. I'm me. And I don't go out of style.
I had the same problem with the butt! Remember when Jlo's ass became a cultural phenomenon? I was so grateful! Before that, there was only one butt shape: pancake. You notice it watching 90s movies now, the hot babes have no muscle tone or booty, whereas in movies now, you see skinny but pretty healthy and muscular female bodies. Also note the grey/yellow teeth in 90s movies, whitening toothpaste has changed things too!!
