These slow travel tips will save your money and give you a better overall experience as you slow travel the world. Slow travel is a mindset with a travel purpose to educated yourself about the world. Your daily activities are generally more focused on learning local foods, architecture, history, natural beauty, and culture. You are entertained by the things you learn as you slow travel the world. You are generally traveling alone or with a few intimate friends and almost never join groups of strangers organized by a travel agency. You typically stay longer in each place and travel between places on local transportation where you can see the landscape of the country from the ground.

Excellent info. I was challenged at boarding by Delta on a one way business class flight ( bought through a consolidator- good deal for lay flat over the long Pacific leg) Orlando to Seoul. It was brutal. I had to purchase a ticket out of Seoul, or they would not let me board. I barely made the flight, and had to purchase an expensive ticket on the spot....I later learned about Dan's trick for onward tickets! They work. Lesson learned. I always travel one way, booking in the last week or two before I fly, often shorter notice on short flights. Never been an issue.
Great story. Thanks Barry.
Great info as always, thanks, Dan. Lead the way, trusty scout!
Glad to help John!
Thank you for the info. A real pleasure to see the images taken of the world and listen to your advises.
My pleasure!
Thank you for making this video and for spreading the word of slow travel. It's appreciated. Let's hope it won't be too long before we can slow travel again.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Dan you are amazing with your straightforward dissemination of information regarding slow travel. You are helping me and many others I am sure in fulfilling our dreams for retirement. I cannot thank you enough my friend. I would love to run into you and Qiang someday in a foreign country. I will buy both of you lunch!!!
You are welcome Sparky. Thanks for commenting. Lunch on Sparky! You are helping our channel grow. Dan
Awaking ideas for me totally.
Boom!
This is a great video. So much great info that you could have made it into a 2- or 3-parter.
I'll have to go back and watch this a few more times because it's so terse.
Thanks for sharing ð
Just click the link in the notes below the video for a link to the text version. :-)
@@VagabondAwake wow that's great!
You know what? I've been a CZcams subscriber for a long time and I know you kept telling us in the video no need to take notes and that we should go to your website...
...BUT I thought that was a sales pitch for the report...now I see that there's a *full transcript of the video* provided for *FREE* ð€ŠðŒââïžððð
AMAZING!
Brilliant...thank you!
You're very welcome!
Another good video. Do you have a more in depth packing list on another video? Carrying a pan and spices is an interesting idea. I'd like to see the details of how you do that without checking a bag. Thanks.
Great suggestion!
Such great information. I donât immediately see the link for onward flights.
Hello vicky agnew, All of our videos have a webpage that has the information discussed in that video so you don't have to take notes. The link to that web page for this video is the first link in the description below this video.
In case you don't know how to find the link, here is a CZcams video teaching how:
czcams.com/video/p4bP4xd7J4s/video.html
Most of our videos have multiple links to important information that will help you save time and money. It is our way of thanking you for watching our videos.

How do you manage those expensive cities like Venice and Paris? Also, what do you do for health insurance since you travel so much and don't have the chance to buy into one country or another? (like Costa Rica, for example)
Two of my videos answer those two questions well.
1. czcams.com/video/FgCozjiMu04/video.html (how do you go to expensive places?)
2. czcams.com/video/DbanW4yeVpc/video.html (what do you do about healthcare?)
Hi Dan, I was having a look at the price of airbnb properties in Malaysia and the Philippines. I was surprised to discover that you can stay in a 1 bedroom high rise apartment with gym and pool in KL for as little as $500 -$600 USD per month, yet in Davao, Philippines for example, you will have to pay even more for a tiny studio apartment. Why do you think this is?
Kuala Lumpur (KL) has had money flowing in from rich oil nations for 20 or so years. They don't want to put all their money in banks so they pay cash for condos in high rises. There is a glut of vacant condos KL, like 30% vacancy or higher in some of these buildings. It causes ruinous competition for tenants both short and long term. So rents never inflate so far, they stay low.
@@VagabondAwake ok good info, thanks!
What was the link for the best onward ticket purchase? Is this also skyscanner?
Just Google Onward flights. Here is one I just found Googling. onward.flights/
New ones pop up all the time. It should be about $12 USD.
Which link should I use to find a $12 onward flight ????
onwardticket.com/
How do you navigate the 90/180 rule for the EU?
Its kind of complicated. Maybe I will do a video on that. In the mean time, there are some great webpages and videos that explain it with examples. Start Googling and you will see what I mean.
Slow Is Better!!! Less Is More!!!
Yah. Like the TV show ... Kung Fu?
How to make a slow travel video? Speak real slow.
Okay. Thanks for the tip. :-)
