This depends on what we’re talking about with ghosts.
I believe ghosts, hauntings, and the paranormal all transpire around the world.
However, here’s my caveat.
They aren’t people.
They’re demons.
The Bible says that all manner of inexplicable occurrences transpire but we should NOT mess with any of it.
That’s my take.
I agree that we the Bible wants us to leave that stuff alone. I also agree that paranormal stuff really happens and demons are most likely more involved than anything else. Where I think I disagree is with the idea that no spirits at all were ever people. Saul has a conversion Samuel's ghost, and I see no evidence that was really a demon. The Bible mentions ghost several times and never in a way that implies they are not real. If I had to guess (for whatever that's worth) I would say that some ghost sightings are glimpses into Sheol.

8th Grade in Springfield MO, woke up from a dream, my best friend who lived in rural KS (we got into an argument they day I returned home from my summer visit), came to me in a dream saying “It’s OK Rick, you were right.” Just as he faded, the phone rang, my mom answered, before she could say anything, I said “Jeff’s dead, isn’t he?” He died in a car accident a few minutes before.
A few minutes before? And they called that quick to tell a friend in a different state ? Sure

I always wanted to believe in ghosts until I had a few encounters at a restaurant I used to manage. Bangs on walls (no plumbing in the walls), things flying off shelves at night when I was there alone. The first time I called the cops because I thought for sure someone was there. Now I know for sure they exist and I wish I could go back to being blissfully ignorant.

They won't hurt you, just trying to contact you , I have had many experiences like this, this sounds as if they are angry and trying to tell you to leave! I have lived in places that call them what you will but they are here, once lived in old southeren manson made into apartments, so first night , 3 of us lived together, we heard from an empty apartment below us, there was music playing, glasses tinkleing, laughter , a party was going on, never been afraid of such things as I am a very strong empath, so they never have tried to harm me, but they can if you do not listen, so went there and ask what is going on ?? no reply, so left and next day, all of the furniture had been moved, when I came home alone, so I told them ,what is the problem , we mean you no harm and you can party all night we are fine and dandy and no threat to you! This was what they wanted to know so after that no problems ! I moved into my brothers house for a bit, he had moved so was house sitting, bit basement and house was new, but then I heard a lot of noise coming from the basement, I thought did these idiots build on a graveyard??? so told them to calm down I will not bother you, these things tickle me as long as they are friendly, so called my brother, he is afraid of ghosts, as we saw plenty growing up in the Blue Ridge Mountains and we gots ghosts, so called him and said what is going on in your basement , knowing he would freak out, and he said shut up shut up, and i mean it, just shut up, i laughed and told him they are rather friendly , he was so freaked , he told me what is wrong with you, shut up they are scary!! and that is a wee bit of what I have seen, heard, felt ,never go into dark place if you get any intuiton , then leave asap , as they are angry and I cannot enter such houses as they know what I am ! Can;t hurt me but if angry I leave as requested! all of this is true as why would I lie about this, it is a gift and a curse!
@@ameliaannhouck2670thanks for sharing. I’ve never had any kind of supernatural experience but I am open to possibilities. I’ve never seen a UFO or nonhuman intelligent being but I do think they exist and I think we are under constant surveillance by these beings. Again, I’ve never seen a ghost, specter or apparition of any kind but that certainly doesn’t mean they don’t exist. As a matter of fact, if we are engineered beings, which I tend to think we are, and if reincarnation is real, which I tend to think it may be, then ghosts seem somewhat logical . I think about reality much like a computer. Even after you’ve deleted all your files, there’s still bits of data leaving evidence of their existence behind. 🥂

I was half asleep, and my dog, who had died, appeared next to the bed, I held my arm up (i was on my side) and she jumped up on the bed and snuggled under my arm. Nobody can tell me it wasn't real, i felt her, i smelled her, and she was there. She always slept with me in this way. So yes, perhaps not a "ghost" but a memory, a level of energy remaining.

When I was in Afghanistan we were going to hit this house. And the AnA Begged us not to go on a mission that night because the witch in the valley was that her strongest. They were filled with so much visible dread, That the commander called the mission off and I’ll be honest I was pretty happy
I have a friend that was in Afghanistan and he swears up and down that he saw some kind of creature like a Sasquatch. Not the same as a witch, but still strange.

My beloved dog, Gyp, had been run over by a police car a couple of months previous; I was a passenger in a car going through Epping forest near London and heard her bark through the open window. The driver heard nothing, but stopped the car. I wandered off, calling for her in the dark. She barked twice more and then was gone.

I'm pretty sure every "witch" that confessed to that particular feat did so on an inquisitor's table. I don't think any self proclaimed witches ever willingly confessed to that.

There are no such things as werewolves, but witches DO exist. There really are people out there who do all the worst "witch" things you can think of, up to and including human sacrifice. And very often, haunted places are associated with occult activity.
Ghosts are NOT the spirits of departed humans. AT. ALL. The Bible tells us that Man lives once and that's it. The story in 1 Samuel is something different; THAT was a case of witchcraft - exactly what I was talking about earlier. (Samuel's spirit was in Sheol, where ALL the dead went prior to the resurrection of Jesus. This is all over the Old Testament).
Today, "ghosts" are demons. Period. Full stop. When you go to a haunted place, and experience supernatural events, you're experiencing demonic activity. What demons are is a whole other discussion, but that's what "ghosts" are.

It's nice to see that at least some people over at the daily wire actually read the Bible even if just for intellectual knowledge. Most people either don't recall the verses about King Saul speaking to the ghost of Samuel or choose to ignore it.
God, Himself, brought Samuel up to speak a message of judgment to Saul. Other than that, “ghost” manifestations are demons intent on deceit. Having dealt with sorcery in my pre-Christian days, I can assure anyone searching out this subject that it is all too real.

A number of post-mortem appearances by humans in the bible are generally termed "angels" rather than "ghosts," I think. And since "angel" means "messenger," and they generally are bearing messages from God, it's a suitable title.

My wife and I once visited a supposedly haunted hotel in Okawville, Illinois called The Original Springs Hotel. It was built in the mid-19th Century and was not altered substantially. The desk clerk indicated no one else was booked that night. I fully expected something to happen, and it did. I heard noises throughout the night - voices, radios, music, even some footsteps and other sounds. In the morning I found that there were several tenants living there, but no other temporary guests, which explained all the noises and led me to a needlessly restless night.

My girlfriend worked at a very old hotel as the 2nd shift manager. One night she invited me over to see her shut the place down. Essentially it's just a walk through the empty rooms and make sure there is no one unexpected.
In one room, we clear the bathroom; flip the light and take just a peak inside then gently close the door. The door hasn't even snapped shut and suddenly CRASH. It sounds like a shelf fell in there. Open it up and it sure has.
The next room, cleared, close the door and the phone rings... the only phone capable of calling the room was in my girlfriend's hand. There was no inter-room calling in this hotel. The front desk had to transfer calls to the room. The reason she had to take the phone was because it was standard procedure in case someone calls.
Next room, the room phone rings again but this time it happens when we walked in. (At this point I'm like I'm just gonna wait by the door).
Walk down the hall, pass the ordinary entrance to the building. Everything is in order. Come back and the entrance rugged is rolled up against the wall.
All happened the same night. To be honest, I still don't know what to make of it. It was explained to me that many guest have complained about the weird things they have had happen.
It seems ghosts only exist when your alone and scared. I used to work as an overnight janitor where I was the only one in the building for 8 hours. I've heard strange noises, the elevator used to randomly open and close, and I had the eerie feeling like something was watching me. I don't think the building was haunted because it's happened to me anytime I was completely alone.
The human mind is extraordinary and can do very powerful things. I suspect that ghosts are some sort of base human consciousness.
Nope. Have had experiences where multiple people staying at a family member's house all hear the same thing, ex, someone opening a door and walking into the house. People get up and check only to find everyone was in a different place, could not have made the sounds, and there is no one anywhere near by that could have done it.
That's when a sense of fear and confusion sets in.

Glad my mother did not alilow us younger kids to see scary movies like psycho. We had an extra bathroom that my parents installed in the basement. I was always scared to go down there especially at night. Being the youngest my older siblings thought it was hilarious to turn the basement light off so I could run up the stairs in the dark.
If we are acknowledging the ghost story in 1 Samuel, we got to acknowledge the demonically oppressed people that were freed by Jesus. Demons are real, and they seek victims which they can oppress. Things haven’t changed 2000 years later. Demons still oppress and Jesus continues to set the captive free.
Actually demons do not exist. That belief started in the NT. There are no demons in the OT. People who have mental problems are said to have demons. Jesus simply restored a mind to those affected. The whole pig story in the gospels is hyperbole and didn't happen as killing innocent animals was condemned by the Father.
There are plenty more passages where Jesus cast out demons so unless you dismiss the entire gospel accounts as hyperbole, you cannot run away from this reality. One can make a case for demons based on Daniel 10, Isaiah 14, Ezekiel 28 from the OT. As for killing innocent animals, that started in the first chapters of Genesis. God commanded the nation of Israel to perform animal sacrifices on a routine basis. I do agree many mental issues cannot be simply dismissed as demonic oppression. However, that does not dismiss the existence of Satan and his intent to steal, kill, and destroy. Western cultures do not take satanic influence seriously enough. That is precisely what the evil one wants. To convince the world he doesn’t exist.

One night I was locking up at work and about to activate the security panel when all of a sudden a door slammed (very loudly) just outside of the room I was in and the hair on my arms and neck raised, I could cut the 'dark' atmosphere with a knife.
So instead of running out, I stood my ground and said "Lord (Jesus), I will leave when you tell me".
At that point the presence moved further down the unlit hallway, that's when I was given the 'nod' to activate the panel and then I walk calmly out knowing I was protected. This site has a history of night time 'experiences', I wasn't the only one.

yes ghosts are real, they are just the spirits of people. but the human spirit can travel while a person is asleep too. most people don't remember it . we can also visit with the dead in the same way, while we sleep. a ghost may appear to you if they want you to see them. they are not always transparent.
I have had my fair share of otherworldly encounters and all I have ever felt is deep, visceral fear. The exception being my childhood home. Whoever/whatever that was my mom and I felt was pretty chill.

At 8 years I saw the Wizard of Oz which was and still is the scariest movie I have ever seen.
Absolutely agree. I’m 65. They showed that movie every year on TV and I’m still not a fan of monkeys, they’re creepy as hell.
There are some great horror elements to that story! The witch and her castle with the flying monkeys creeped me out to no end

No way to be certain, my thinking is Humans have a soul. That soul is an energy this goes somewhere when our body dies. For most part we believe either heaven or hell. I believe some of those souls never cross over . And that energy is trapped in the earthy realm. I think with all the unknowns in the universe this is a plausible theory. Never any visual contact with those lost souls but , lots of maybe something.

I can see and hear Ghosts - its an inherited gift, on my maternal line. It is a sensitivity that is not always enjoyable. I am usually NOT afraid. If I am I pray to Jesus Christ immediately... "Jesus Christ son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner" I trust the spirit of Christ to be stronger than anything else in the spiritual realms.
The brains of those who can are definitely wired differently than most. And there are far too many such people-- along with technological evidence -- for me not to believe.
My parents and I saw a ghost one New Year’s Eve in the early 90s as we drove through a cold, dark, and lonely California desert highway. It looked like a woman running fast and slightly off the ground - as if on a bike - and vanished in our headlights’ illumination. It was completely unexpected.

For the most part ghosts are demons who are fallen angels. The time with Samuel the prophet was more than likely a one time event that happened in the old testament for a certain purpose but not the norm. The dead do not go back and forth on earth they’re either with the Lord or in hades awaiting their final judgment. There is no purgatory.

When I was younger I like 7 I almost got sent to a psychiatric hospital because I would wake up at nights and I would feel something was watching me and I’ll see black shadows in my room and when I would close my eyes and open them it would be somewhere else in the room sometimes I would wake up to noises this one time I woke up to something licking me and I was so scared to sleep alone and I’d be to scared to move then one day it just stopped and years later when I went to a psychiatric hospital due to a mood disorder there was this girl that told me I had demons attached to me and it freaked me out I didn’t know if I believed but I would always feel this heavy presence like something was luring on the shadow so she did this thing when she took my hand and started talking and she said that they were gone that was like 2022 now I feel like there is something watching me when I go to sleep or when I’m in the dark there is something there and I am scared

I am a huge fan of ghost stories/movies, even though I don't believe ghosts do, or can, exist. But as analogy to teach us about ourselves and gain perspective on many things, they are valuable vehicles for delivery.
I think my home is haunted,it was late at night my room is my the stairs so if you hope the door straightforward is my motuers room and if you turn is the bathroom and it takes time for the light to turn on so when you get to the bathroom the light it will be dim but on so i open the door of tye bathroom and i see somethink fully black like the hair on the girl from the ring.(if you want more ill give outmore stories.)

In short, no.
I'm from South Dakota, and this place does not exist.
Ghost ARE real, and while the Bible does say it is appointed unto man once to die and then the judgement shows that we aren't judged immediately after we die, or else we would all be having our own time of the Great White throne judgement. I do believe in Paradise, but where does the Bible state that someone can't leave for a time, while in Paradise. As for ghosts who do cause trouble or terror, those certainly COULD be demons. What we DO know is that.. we don't know..
All that we know is that millions of people throughout time have witnessed ghostly manifestations, without prior knowledge of seeing ghost as bad or a good thing. Some people even dismissed ghosts entirely, but experienced a ghostly encounter nonetheless.
I am a Christian, who has read the Old Testament over 40 times and the New Testament close to 100 times, so I don't write the things I state as some mystic or worldly person, but as a true believer in Jesus. With that stated, the Truth is the Truth, and there are many things that we know as Truth and many things that have been withheld from us.
As for witches, I see many of you writing that you don't believe in them, yet you believe in the account of Samuel being brought up by a WITCH. Witches are real, and today, most are called Mediums. There are many truths hidden in the Bible and only by seeking Jesus will we unravel a host of Truths. Believing in Witches or Ghosts will not save you, but callously claiming they aren't real is a clear case of someone denying that they have studied to show themsevles approved in that which they state.
Stand by the things that are revealed to you by God, while being humble and never insisting you know something when you clearly have not sought the Truth of a certain matter. Just as with all things, speak the Truth always, and acknowledge God in all of your ways. May God be with you all!
Remember we are made in God’s image. God is three beings in one. So in what way does this dynamic translate to human existence? Do we have a spiritual part of ourselves that interacts with the wold of life. Sort of like the Holy Spirit of God does. Who knows? We may never know until we meet our creator.

The spirit of Saul came from Sheol which is place in the hearth of the earth where the dead went in the OT before the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Sheol is split in two compartments: hell/tartarus(where the unrighteous went) and Abraham's busom(where the righteous went). The OT Saints in Abraham's buson were waiting there for the Messiah to come and after Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead and ascended He also took the OT saints with him to heaven. Ever since the resurrection of the Lord, saved people go to heaven and sinners still go down into the earth in hell.
So Andrew I love your show, but as Catholic who LOVES the Old Testament I would like to correct you on indulgences. The Jews started in an incomplete understanding of Purgatory which is in the Bible. 2nd Macabbees speaks of Judas Maccabees collecting indulgences for the fallen Jewish soldiers who bore graven images. He correctly understood that though a soul may not die in a state of mortal sin the venial sin still needs purging. Thus he offered sacrifice to expiate their stay in purgatory.
As to indulgences they are continue to this day in the Catholic Church. The abuse of indulgences did occur, but it was not the main reason for Luther's revolution.
What WAS the main reason then?
According to Luther his main reason was a desire to know he was saved no matter what. He did not like the Catholic and thus Biblical teaching that faith alone nor works alone will once and for all save your soul. As Paul says in Philipians 2:12 work out your salvation with fear and trembling. In other words, your salvation is not assured you can choose Hell freely and throw your salvation away.
2nd Maccabees 12: 38-45 for those curious.
Here’s a take from a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints: there is an afterlife, obviously, but it exists on a different plain of existence. That why we get ghost stories, like Gettysburg, and haunted hotels. A lot of trauma stick with reality, and it sticks with you through your life. If you die because of something that happened, it could still possibly affect you in the afterlife.
For us how the afterlife works, people can either go to spirit paradise, or spirit prison. It’s kind of like the equivalent of Heaven and Hell, I’d even argue it’s closer to that than the Celestial, Terrestrial, and Telestial kingdoms that we’ll be able to go to depending on what we did here on earth. Spirit paradise/prison come first before those in my opinion, since the millennium hasn’t happened yet. Anyway, the thing that happens most in spirit prison is actually missionary work. People that didn’t get the gospel would be able to get it in the afterlife, it’s just up to them to accept the ordinances and gospel.
But back to the different plain of existence; I think, because we can have ghosts appear, whether they be benevolent or angry, that both spirit paradise and spirit prison exist on this earth, just on a different wavelength. And some times, that wavelength collides with ours. And even though they weren’t people before like your typical ghost, demons I think operate like this as well. Only they don’t have bodies of their own, and are actively seeking to get one because their forfeited their initial opportunity when they fell with Satan. I’ve heard stories of people, even family members, feel presences in their house, like someone watching them, or occupying the same room, and even stories of people having entities attached to their spirit. Entities that we might have known in the premortal realm, because yes, we believe in that, too.
So in conclusion, ghosts and demons exist, but their interpretations are a lot different than media in my opinion, and they exist on a different plain of existence, allowing for them to interact with the our mortal existence if possible, and they have enough will/trauma(?) to do so. Now if you excuse me, I will now go bed and sleep with the lights on.
My co-worker JUST told me about the Witch of Endor like 2 days before watching this video. That's crazy. I'm a Christian, but I never heard that story. (I obviously need to read my Bible more). I always thought "ghosts" were either angels or demons. But now I'm not so sure. If Samuel's ghost was actually him and not a demon or a trick from the "witch", then I might have to rethink some things. Great video!

Ghosts are always in a place. Like they can't leave. My idea is that it is some sort of leftover from the past. Like a time overlay. That is why they are always in the same spot. It is where they were at that time in the past. You never hear of ghosts traveling.

I’ve only ever had one ghost encounter in my entire life. It mind boggles me because my sister and mother have had a lot of crazy experiences regarding ghosts but I would never have one. But this one night I was house sitting for my sister and I didn’t see a ghost but I heard one for the first time. I was in my room and I kept hearing cabinets and drawers opening in the kitchen as if someone was getting silverware out and placing them on the counter. That’s what it sounded like. I remember freezing up because I was in shock. There was a part of me that kept saying it’s not real or it’s just in my head. But you wanna know what made me believe it 100%???? My dogs…. My dogs heard the sound as well and both of them would look down the hall and even went into the kitchen before I did. That was the crazy part. I finally got up and turned on the lights and went into the kitchen where the dogs were and there was nothing there. Literally nothing. The crazy thing is that my sisters father past away before this happened and this was the house he lived in his whole life. My sister moved in after he passed. I think the sound that I was hearing was her dad and maybe his spirit or whatever was in the kitchen trying to make something like a sandwich or something like that. Those were my initial thoughts. But afterwards I took the dogs back into the bedroom and went back to sleep. I didn’t see anything. I only heard things move around. And the dogs did as well. I will never forget that night or that moment.
One thing you have to do is...if yer into psychic and the dark arts ..get out of it! There's no such thing as ghost! I do know this: There's a scripture in the bible God does not allow Angels to leave heaven! Fallen Angels are demons and they're job is to destroy ones life! They can imitate yer dead love ones! Another thing: stay away from psychic reading people! They consort with Fallen Angels! Read the bible! Live Gods ways if you feel in your heart that yer dead love ones are in heaven and you'll be with them as long as you live Gods ways!!!!

Yes, but much of what is called a ghost can be demonic or angelic. We often experience the Holy Spirit. One thing often ignored is that they do not die, death was to the fleshly realm. The concept of karma commonly discussed is actually quite the opposite. The situation it arises from is a human demon possessed. When the host dies, the demon seeks a new host. In false religions, a young person is made to be the new host, & their manner shows it is the old demon. Speaking of a previous life, really a previous host. Their same life & the former life of an older host. Dead humans.
Fascinating discussion. I believe in Purgatory (obviously), but I am amazed at the circumstances that Andrew talks about surrounding that doctrine in history. I think the church did become corrupted, but also had the counter -reformation, which was "renaissance" for catholicism. Theology and history are not black and white categories we can easily peg down simply by doubling down on our own preferred view of Christianity.

I believe in ghost cus I experienced it I was in a restaurant with my dad and there was a cup a glass cup it was on the table and this table is flat tell me why the cup moved like 6 inches and it was not just me my dad saw it move to like it moved quickly and it stopped immediately now I believe in ghost
That happens all the time when there is water or condensation on the glass iv seen this hapoen many times
