Is Antonio Guterres who is from Portugal. She is the Administrator for the U.S. Agency for International Development. Neither of which are militant organizations.. they provide aid.. She’s not a part of the CIA. If you’re going to make Criticisms and accusations, at least aim them in the correct direction. Otherwise you look and sound incredibly stupid

@@00SmileTime00 Your numbers seem greatly exaggerated. As reported last November, _"Yemen's seven-year-old war will claim 377,000 lives by the end of the year, through both direct and indirect impacts, a United Nations agency estimated in a report published Tuesday._
_Nearly 60 percent of deaths will be caused by indirect impacts such as lack of safe water, hunger, and disease, the report said, suggesting that fighting will directly kill over 150,000 people."_
How is, or even was, she responsible for that? UNICEF has been begging the member governments for humanitarian funding all along. They do not find the money growing on trees. The whole situation is a Middle Eastern clusterfuck of monumental proportions, and Yemen, caught between Iran and SA, suffers the consequences. Not sure how you can blame that on a diplomat.

I pray that one day we have more global civil servants like her. Folks who will look out for the human race as a whole and not just their own nations. It's an absolute MUST now if the human race is to move forward and not become a secondary species that is controlled by AI.

She’s a civil servant, not a politician. The elected people bring in experts to advise them on areas they know less about. At her high level she’s appointed by the president, but there are thousands of people who work for the American people regardless of which party is in the Oval; they’re experts who know how something works and can therefore advise top officials including cabinet & president on what’s feasible and how to accomplish the administration’s goals. The Dems are trying to pass a law that would prevent presidents from firing subject experts without cause in order to install obedient but ignorant stooges, as trump did.

I’m one of the nurses who helped vaccinate the American public for months last year and I’m not American. So yeah many people were grateful that it gave them a chance at continuing to live.
Particularly, because some ignorant American Republicans refused them, it would be a shame to let them spoil...
Still more important them giving them fish will be teaching them to fish for themselvs, like the idea of Africa producing their own vaccines

One of the saddest things I ever discovered was that Samantha Power, born outside the US, cannot run for president. She's is uniquely brilliant and beyond capable to work to solve the monumental problems we all face. If you haven't read her memoir, do it now. And thank you, Ms. Power, for your service.

I am a foreign service brat, dad was in the first wave of AID in '61 and '62. He was so proud to serve for decades - AID to USAID. Thank you Ms. Powers for helping get US foreign policy back on track after the horrible years of T****P.

Well that was truly amazing. I think that people forget that this is what we think and want America to be but because of the superficial media junk on the airwaves we miss out on the intellectual powerhouse this nation delivers through people like this whose service we would not otherwise see except for programs like this. We all benefit from this, even in distant Australia.
Reading her book, “A problem from hell”, she gives Raphael Lemkin a importance voice, who gave genocide its name, you don’t realize the importance of certain people until it’s either too late or when you are living in a democracy in decline. Thank you for the knowledge ❤
