This is the problem I have with dealers now days. A job that took you 30 min to do with no experience doing before they wanted to charge 6 hours labor for. Dealers are just getting rich on stuff like this. What happened to the honest company that is there to help the farmer make a crop without breaking him. The tractor already cost way too much when buy it then they break it off in you when you need something simple added to it... Absolutely ridiculous! Good job Dennis, I'm glad you didn't let them take advantage of you and you showed the whole world how simple it was to do in just 30 minutes not 6 hours!!!! 😃😃😃
Hello Dennis good job. Your son very smart and I enjoyed his antics lol. Soon he be out in the field out working you. He enjoys helping and you missed it when he took off the plastic line protection and showed you he did it. Have a great day sir.
Darcy's a good little helper Dennis. Hope you get chance to do a bit of loader work with the 5711 soon, i like the shuttle on them, its really good for changing gear between bales, speeding up and down been able to change gear and work the loader at the same time aswell, should make a nice loader tractor. Mike
Nice job on all the squares you put up and out of the weather. Have a great day 😀 I sold all of our first cutting hay 1400. Using the W.R Long grappler. Only touched about 20 squares.
Alto makes a wonderful loader, basically installing a diverter valve. I have a Quickie 66 all the wiring is there just couldn’t locate the diverter solenoid and hose kit,it also has capability for 4th function It’s a shame that they tried to stick it to you at the dealer some folks don’t know or cannot do the work, when I ran my shop I gave an honest price for a good job an made a comfortable living Thanks for your videos Happy Harvesting 😊😊
My new case 580 super has a three position switch for comfort ride, Off, On and one position that kicks it on at about 5 MPH and off below. Makes it great for loading.
As far as I know Dennis, massey ferguson have the paintent for the gear change on the shuttle, would imagine most of the tractor companies would produce something similar if they could, think massey have used it well over ten year's. keep the videos coming, Mike
Nice little upgrade there the only thing I would possibly do is put some electric tape on the pipes so that you know red goes to red and blue goes to blue instead of needing to play roulette to find the right way
That's kinda what I did on my koiti 2610 but I just put a universal valve and had it with a on or off switch I didn't like the price of factory valve didn't mind the extra work
I think I only had 450 bucks with hoses but it took me awhile to fab up brackets and wire the switch in but well worth it grapple makes brush work super easy @@DLHFarms
Dennis, Dorcy had me in stiches when he just came out of no place to show the people that he was the Biggest Nut in the shop. (I choked on my coffee when dorcy came out of no place) I now knoe why I lost my hair and turned totally grey. Dorcy is on his way to taking your job away. (ahhh the thought of retirement) Not..
Do you see any reason I would have trouble using a 10 bale hay grapple on my 4066R with 440R loader? I only hay 12 acres so not a massive amount of bales. Thanks, Joe
Well they don’t really compare to each other very well one is a premium tractor and one is and mid-grade tractor. They both do really good don’t really have complaints about either one. They both are comfortable to ride all day and have good a/c they both do their respective jobs well. One just has mores bells and whistles.

Exactly that’s why I did the fenders and 3rd function myself.

I seen it when I edited the video I guess I was focused on something else.
@@DLHFarms You have a wonderful son. Have a good day.
Taking that metal back plate off is where the rest of the 6hrs of labor comes in
Oh haha
Darcy is growing up fast. Glad to see you got the third function installed.
I enjoyed it so much when my 2 boys helped me out working on things.
Enjoy it while you can buddy they grow up so fast.
That’s the truth
Did everybody pay attention... Loved the video 🤣
Bahaha

I love the gear shift on the shuttle wish my Deere had it cause I keep reaching for the shuttle on it to change gears now haha.

Little guy followed loader instructions perfect, impressed 💪💪👍👍
He does well with equipment
Great video
Hello Dennis and Dorsey! We have 3rd function on both tractors, well worth the investment. Get some rest my friend, 🚜🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
Thanks!
I always take a pictures of the connections before removing anything.. Much easier to refer to them to reassemble after.

That’s neat
Finally got the third function installed!!!

It’s my favorite feature

Kool follow Darcy instruction.

Haha Dorsie is good comic relief he cracks me up all the time.
Be nice to the little people - remember, they pick your nursing home.
Haha
I always try to fix things my self before taking it to a dealer. 6 hours at $90 if not more an hour.
It’s more than that now
Don't scratch that nice watch you got up there Dennis.
Too late
Thank you sir. Do you happen to have the part# for the kit?
Sorry I do not
When did you pour concrete in the hay shed 😳 i must’ve missed a video
You must have missed several
Yeah. That wasn’t a 6 hour job. I think the MF shop rate book might be stepping on the rates a bit too hard here.
Hey Dennis how you like the 5711 over the 4710 just wondering been looking at the 5711s
It’s definitely an upgrade in features. I like it but I have it hoped up a little to pull my mower better.
@@DLHFarms thanks Dennis

It can do it, I have a short on CZcams doing exactly that search it maybe you can find it.
It won’t stack them but 6 or 7 high though from the ground.
@@DLHFarms many thanks!
What would the Deere equivalent to the 5711 be?
Probably a 5100m
Where did you purchase that system, thanks God bless
Massey Ferguson dealer
Have you bought Dorsey a tool box yet????
He has a small one and I’ve give him some of my old tools I had when I was a kid.
When you said 6 hours... 🤔. Would you buy that 5711d again? Are you happy with it?
I would I like it.
@@DLHFarms does the loader reach high enough to load/unload 4x5 bales double stacked on a semi?
Yes easy. It can stack squares the same height as my big Deere
Where can I find this particular kit? I'm looking everywhere online and can't find it. Is it a dealer only item?
Dealer only it’s from Massey Ferguson. Cost about $1500
@@DLHFarms Thank you very much! I will give the dealer a call tomorrow. Appreciate the fast response.
