I actually never understood how phones get this dirty, must be extreme cases. I've had my current smart phone for 3 years and I took a really close look at all of these spots and it's honestly pretty spotless, and I don't actively clean these spots out either
I feel they purposely make it dirty
I work in construction so it's kinda hard for them not to get this bad sometimes
Same thing to my phone.. My phone age 3yrs. But it almost clean, Although i never clean it often.

These kinds of thin metal tools need to come packaged with every phone. I could do at least some of this myself if I had them
They would have to pack a microscope too, and a few ports to practice on before going in on a good one ;)
I use safety pins. It cleans ports really well

without risk in just a couple of minutes
Better leave for who knows how to clean it because one scratch and you'll have to pay to fix it
For those who think they purposely made it dirty: It is a common issue that is encountered atleast a dozen times a week in a phone repair shops. And even if you think your phone's port look so clean, try scrapping out some and I will tell you if you had been using your phone more than a couple of years, you will get some shit out of it. You cannot clearly see how dirty it is inside because usually shits are quite similar coloured as inside the port (dark grey/black) and quite stuck on the bottom part of the port. Yes it can look very clean in your eyes but the reality may not be so same.
My phone's port is nowhere near as dirty as this.

Mostly stuff from pockets or purses. You can see the fibers and other stuff. I clean my charging port every 3 months cause my work pants clogs it. Its the way it is. You can see actual wool in some.

Sticking a cable in wont bring the dust and scrap inside, I guess it's mostly from getting it in the pocket or in overall dusty environment
