- We asked Milwaukee Tool's Tim Albrecht, Group President of Hand Tools, Storage, PPE, a couple of questions about their made in USA hand tool plans and strategies.
We learned a bit about the types of tools Milwaukee could make here, and what what they might be looking at next, beyond the screwdrivers, pliers, and cutters that launched in 2023.

I love my USA made pliers and screwdrivers, I hope they continue to expand for us patriotic folks
It would be nice to see some truly USA-made Milwaukee tools. Made in the USA means a lot to people who use tools daily. I have all the tools I need and then some, and I don't make money using them anymore, but it's nearly impossible to walk into a store needing a particular hand tool with the firm knowledge that you could get a quality tool that was domestically produced. Sears used to be that store... Craftsman may not have been the absolute best, but it had a solid reputation based on its "Made in USA" marketing and history.
It’s not a lot but the electrical hand tools they just came out with are made in the US with American steel

Personally, I'd like to see more competition for the Knipex Cobra.
Milwaukee make great power tools, but they fall short to Klein when it comes to electrical hand tools.
Even Klein falls short to Knipex and Wera for electrical

That's a lot harder to do, as there are a lot of components that there aren't any USA sources for, but I'm sure they're keeping an eye on user demand.
@ToolGuyd Milwaukee power tools used to be American made. I have tools my grandfather owned of Milwaukee that has made in america stamped on it so......
Good lier . Does U.S.A have litium to put in your batery packs ? Litium comes from Mexico and other country's . Does U.S.A. have rare soil for the A.I. components ? If you only manufacture in U.S.A. is also fair you only sale in U.S.A. you dont make else where . Dont sale else where .
Do screwdrivers, pliers, and other hand tools require "AI components" or mining for lithium?

To be honest, Milwaukee hand tools aren't very good even the ones that are made in the USA.
