Rarran, RegisKillbin, Zeddy, trump, thijs and other hearthstone youtubers all play different hs gamemodes. Duels, Battlegrounds, Standard, Arena and Wild are in the game that can new cards from new expansions to climb and win HS games.
Hearthstone is a card game based on WOW, it is also a digital card game.
Legends of Runeterra is a 2020 digital collectible card game developed and published by Riot Games. Inspired by the physical collectible card game Magic: The Gathering, the developers sought to create a game within the same genre that significantly lowered the barrier to entry. - Hry
Dont be fooled by Grapplr, he may give off the vibes of a genius but he's a Papaya lord through and through
why not both?
Lies, he only wins, I have checked his youtube. Only a genius could pull this off.
Once papaya will always be papaya
@jennes a fruit

GrappLr: "Nobody makes their games with fatigue gaming in mind."
Wizards of the Coast: *frantically trying to hide every mill meta they've ever created*
Laughs in ruin crab
My Archive Trap deck was kinda shite but destroying the enemies deck for almost free the first time was so funny.
Fatigue is legit the most fun meta to play. Both players get to play through their decks. Strategy and game knowledge pays off hard. Opening hand and going first rng are minimised. Good stuff.
@@willnash7907 yea I love playing against mill druid thats interactive
@@Pudding--_-- I've seen some lists lately that are kinda bull these days, in case you are talking about that, but that is just combo that technically kills by burning cards instead of burning health.
What I had in mind was old school fatigue and mill that goes the distance and works as a toolbox deck, navigating enemy strategies with different counterplay options and carefully pacing out tempo and value. It is a long strategic battle to the cuffs and by far the best Hearthstone I've played because it has so much room for creativity. like using corrupted firework elemental on your own minions for the heal with jaina or knowing when to brann coldlight and zola to prep the mill or holding research projects in opening hand against priest only late at night, cause thats when the older control players play xd.
I love this format. Have you ever thought about giving your Players a Scale, so they have something they can orient themselves around? Something like unplayable, meme, has seen play, good, Meta and Blizzard pleas nerve.
God, I love card game players interacting. It's so fun seeing the comparisons between the mechanics as well as various different metas.
I think they misunderstand Location cards.
They could be used when they are played at the same turn, and also only EVERY OTHER turn.
(like Muck Pools, if you play it on turn 1, you can use it immediately and the fastest to use the next time will be turn 3)
it stilll works very well with vashj tho, you put the pools on turn 1, you play a minion on 2 and use it on that and its off cooldown on turn 4 for vashj
@@yagizkaradagoglu8545 yeah muck pools still seem good but most other ones feel super slow
He understood that. But if you paid 1 mana on turn one to play the Pools, you're not gonna play a 1 mana minion to transform on the same turn (without a coin). So he assumes you'll play a minion on turn 2 that you transform straight away, then on turn 4 target Vashj.
This was likely recorded before that information became available. We only got that information recently. When muck pools was first revealed we didnt know it was every other turn.
yeah, I think Muck Pools is still a very soild card.
Coin life tap for speed up goldshire Gnoll?
I Dont know about That one bro😂
In hindsight, definitely correct, I didn’t articulate my thought process correctly, we were recorded this at 6 am lol
Yeah I was gonna say this haha.
The only possible way I can think of playing gnoll on turn 2 in standard is if you go second you have 5 cards in the opener (4 + coin) then draw encumbered pack mule turn 1 making it 7 cards in hand, pass, Then draw another encumbered pack mule making 9 cards in hand, discounting gnoll by 8 so he costs exactly 2 mana on turn 2
It's coin Mountain Giant all over again xD
Love the channel and content dude! Just popped back into hearthstone for the first time in quite awhile and I'm actually having some fun while checking out your videos, keep it up!
I barely know GrappLr, but you can immediately tell that this guy knows and rules in card evaluation
Ye he's in master, which is legend rank hearthstone, doing papaya decks
@@mist1714 legend in hs and master in lor arent equal
Seeing GrappLr's thoughts on the new cards was super cool. Well done mr Rarran
Mill Rogue was always my favorite when I played during the early days of HS, so I tend to see cards from that perspective. Gnollshire would be an amazing Mill Rogue card, since it is removal and simply helps prevent overdraw by being 0 cost with a full hand.
Grapplr is probably the most handsome tcg player I’ve ever seen
Mogwait topped him btw
Druid of the plains actually did see play for a while during guardian animals meta for druid. It was just a generally strong play to push you to turn 8.
The funny part about Muck Pools and GrappLr's reaction to it is that Runeterra actually has a 1 mana spell called Concurrent Timelines that, in simplified terms, basically reads "from now on, turn every first unit you play in a turn into another one with the same cost" - which is a bit gimmicky, but saw some cool meta decks that used a lot of terribly stated units with strong on-play effects (battlecries). The obvious weqkness of that deck archetype, of course, is having to hard mulligan for Concurrent Timelines, and doing pretty bad if you don't draw into it :P
edit: just to clarify, you also get to actually manually choose what unit to turn it into out of one of 3 options!
Trundle Timelines! Awesome deck
The funny part about muck pools is when you read muk backward....
@@coeplis24 kcum pool 💀
It's been so long since you evaluated Runeterra cards. I wonder when's the next time you're gonna do it?
Maybe he could join grappl on the next reveal of voidwalker
@@mist1714 that would be super cool.
@@mist1714 I would prefer him reacting to older cards like ASol, Lissandra and the Ascended champs. That way we can see the difference between his perspective and the actual state of the cards in the currebt meta.
Plus I mean there's only so many times he can do the same card games before he just has a good understanding of what's good and what isn't and then the videos won't be as interesting. So I feel he should keep doing it for different card games too. Not just Runeterra or MtG.
wish you'd do a revisiting format, where you return to those evaluation after the expansion has released and then compare your evaluation to the current state of things with that same guest
These shows are the most innovative and creative ways to make hearthstone content I've not seen in a long time.
The last time I saw something like this was when that Russian guy made a bunch of hearthstone myth busters. And maybe certain specific DToast videos
Grapplr seems not amused lol
xd true
I mean I kinda get it, I love these episodes but I did feel like Rarran talked a lot more than usual. With some cards it really did feel like a lecture (which can get rather boring as most people watching this already know what the backstories of cards like Stealer of Souls)
Look I’m just gonna say, if GrappLr put on glasses, I’d 100% believe he’s Clark Kent
GrappLr was such a cool guest :D really enjoyed this episode
I could watch this back and forth with Grapp for hours
I love these, I want another Magic one even though it’s only been 2 weeks.
Been enjoying your content of bringing content creators of different card games on. Would be interesting to see a shadowverse player do these as well. Its an anime-style card game with lots of unique mechanics and somewhat similar to hearthstone.
I didn't like the choice of cards in this one.
Alot of them are meta depending or set specific cards that you can't really evaluate unless you know all the support cards like eater of souls or smokescreen.
I would have preferred more crazy effect cards or spicy effect to see his evaluation of it.
16:20 "it gives you a bloc" ahaha
Love these episodes! Think the evaluation of Baroness Vashj is way off though unless there are a ton of good transform effects and token generators released with the set. In the case where you don’t have the location ready for this, it’s just a 4 mana 3/4.
3/6
@@narcyz2134 oh right! Still not very impressive.
These are my absolute favorite. Loved the PVDDR one lol
Extremely engaging and engrossing content! Keep it up.
Great video as always love from canada
"I wouldn't say *very* good"
"Yeah, Really good card!"
Rarran about Entitled Customer.
I think the editor was in love with Grapplr he zoomed way too many times on his face
I think a good guest on this series would be LS. he used to play hearthstone a lot and magic even more. he also said he was the one who created handlocke, and would be a good foray into the league scene
Other than the time connection conked out, I've never I've not yet lost against a deck running Prince Renathal.
Are you playing aggro? I think Renathal sucks against anything else imo
the crazy card design is what I personally miss most in runeterra
Since there's recently been a new Shadowverse expansion I feel you should get in touch with a SV creator and try to guess how good their cards are. I think you'll do pretty well as the game is quite similar to Hearthstone at the base levels.
Rarran and Ignideous would be insane to see
@@KirbySaysBweo yeah. That would be a lot of fun. Those two would get on i think.
The demon seed quest is rather strange. Some interactions with it will prevent your death where other things won’t occur if your health reaches 0. It’s kinda strange.
Lifesteal has always worked like this. It's not specific to the quest.
Healing has always worked like that. IF in the same effect you go under 0 but heal back above it you do not die.
But any other interaction that would involve your health reaching 0 is cut off. Like if Rokara hits a big minion with her 5/2 weapon, if she reaches 0 life from the attack then the effect of the weapon doesn’t activate. Which seems strange when you can get bombed to 0 then draw a soul stone. It cuts other interactions short but will continue interactions after you die if it heals you.
@@paytonyoder1260 Because Rokara's weapon says "AFTER you attack a minion". Lifesteal works like "when" effects.
Same reason Ogremancer will still summon a 2/2 if the spell kills it but Trogg won't summon another Trogg if it dies from the spell.
@@ElMoShApPiNeSs Ogremancer summons a 2/2 before the spell activates. I know that because it’s summoned 2/2 units that die to the AoE spell. That wouldn’t change how the interaction works though, because you have to take the damage before you heal. So, if you attack with a lifesteal weapon you get hurt first, then you heal. Which would function like Rokara’s weapon. So, taking damage to go to 0 health in quest line would track along the lines of taking the damage first, then the quest procs, then you heal afterwards. It all seems like a fluid interaction but you heal AFTER you’re dead already. Which contradicts Rokara’s weapon, because the special thing happens after, just like the healing that you receive.
Renathal might have a reno like effect where people start messing around with new options and tech that would never see play otherwise
5:24 OBJECTION, there's one very cheap: Concurrent timelines, altough the deck is forced to be built around it.
13:18 Sad riptide rex noises.
8:50: Honestly, if I just run silence on this thing, it's essentially negated. If it choses monster counter, it's great. If it's spell counter, well it doesn't matter if the silence or the counter gets through since the latter would be gone anyway.
Thats good to point out but silence is a very niche keyword in hearthstone. Priest is the only class who has not only cost-efficient silences, but on top of that benefits to main-deck them in general. In the latest set one of the most powerful neutral silence cards was printed, its a 3 mana 2/4 Battlecry: SIlence ALL minions. And the ironic thing is that this card is so useful that you actually dont want to waste it on just silenceing Blademaster Okani unless it stops you from winning the game!
Ayy, it's Grapplr, LETSGO
He has a good thought process behind his answers even if he was off a little.
you forgot to mention him a pretty impottant fact, locations have a full round cooldown. if you use muck pool on turn 3, it is on cooldown on turn and gets available on turn 5
This was recorded the day after Prince was released and by then that info was not shared/known.
@@Mrlonefighter yes it was? it was mentioned when the card was revealed
Smokescreen see play. I watched yesterday Hearthstone championship and one guy was playin it with Mine rogue. Its quite good actually.
I really don’t know how I feel about guessing cards we ourselves haven’t even played with. Like we get predictions wrong for what cards will be good all the time, it seems a bit unfair imo to ask a different TCG player how good a card is when currently we don’t fully know ourselves how good it’ll be.
It's the same, a new card or a old one for the person that don't play the game is absolutely the same, the unique difference is that they will not have a answer if the card is good our not.
@@PedroSouza-ry9wn Which kind of defeats the whole purpose of the series, does it not? Like, what’s the actual point of them guessing how good a card is if there’s no answer to whether it actually is or not?
@@FatedFalcon the fun part about the releases is the guessing and they are basically doing it but without the background of the meta, in the end this challenges is all about the perspectives of the players that don't play the game and what they think it's good or not. And not if they are actually correct.
He said he just wanted his thoughts on it. Just something fun to start things off like the guessing voice lines of cards he's done before
@@PedroSouza-ry9wn I disagree, I think if there’s no data to confirm if their analysis is correct or not then all it comes down to are pure hypotheticals, which in itself basically become card reviews from non Hearthstone players. Maybe people do enjoy that aspect, I personally don’t and think that kind of content is suited for another series.
I tried to guess along with your guest as someone who plays MTG and I was wrong a lot lol.
Goliath Sneed Masterpiece looks like HS version of Riptide Rex except you can choose who to target
There is a card that transforms the first follower you play each turn for 1 mana so kind of similar
Hey Rarra! Would you be interested in doing this with Vanguard cards? CFV is super interesting when looking at it from a newbie perspective
Should've use teemo-grapplr in thumbnail tho
4:55 sounds like better concurrent timelines
I don't know if this was done or not but how broken would hearthstone be with spell mana?
I had a control thief rogue deck that would lose late game because I'd just run out of cards and against aggro I'd die before I can gain control of the board so having 10more cards and health solves all the issues of my deck. Been winning a lot and it doesn't feel as clunky or rng dependant anymore
Smokescreen is seeing competitive play in mine rogue right now.
That 8 cost deal 2 dmg to 5 targets kinda look likes a Riptide Rex from Runeterra, which is mediocre but strong in certain situations and can even hit the other players health if there are no units to hit left.
13:20 no way, i use it in every control deck 😂😂😂😂
Yes GrappLR is backkkk
He secretly played some hearthstone again before this
Funny how smokescreen was not seeing play at all at the time this video was recorded and then hybrid mine rogue started popping up at the MT and then in high legend
HOLY MOLY THE LORD PAPAYA HIMSELF, THE CHAD OF CHADS, GRAPPLR!!!
So what I got from this is that I should be playing Renathal Smokescreen Trickster Rogue XD
10:33 it was play on Mine deck to draw 5
Hey rarran when will you invite fry em up? He is the best PVZheroes content creator and there are some really absurd cards in that game and i think it would be really fun to see you thinking everything is absurdly OP
Oh I love this! Yes please!
+1
I always make decks where every card there is I am happy about drawing it.
Virgin Goliath, Sneed's Masterpiece vs Chad Riptide Rex, no match.
I really wish i could just only play demon seed decks in wild, considering I just came back I’ll never get that chance Lmao. The most fun ways to hurt your opponent in games are with thorn effects or “share the pain” effects
Bruh, I feel like GrappLr's favorite deck would 100% be Burgle Rogue. Also Thief Priest.
After that, any cool, satisfying Control Deck, like maybe Taunt Druid (in Wild).
Smokescreen did see some play at Hearthstone Masters Tour just a few days ago. Like in semifinals and finals for sure. Dreivo and Gaboume brought mine rogues. The decks was played in finals. Is it good then? No. But it neither didnt see play. It's niche.
Grapplr looks so done 🤣
FYI locations can only be activated every other turn, for whatever reason
2:30 I do think the opposite, the better the cards are, the worst Renathal becomes. I love to play big control deck but if aggro gets better, even with 10 more hp it would become really difficult to get to turn 6/7 and usually the new big control cards tend to have those mana cost (Recently I faced a bomb rogue and he blew my whole hp in only 5 turn, he maybe had the perfect mulligan but still)
This runeterra guy has the strongest jawline and gorgeous eyes. It's not fair
Waiting for "A checkers player tries to guess how good chess pieces are"
Jackpot always just gives me trash I can't play with
Looking good rarran!
Excuse me Mr. Guest sir. I love fatigue games, in MTG I'm a control player and love making people concede vs winning of my own accord and in LoR I liked that deck that deleted my opponents deck so I won when they couldn't draw.
You should definently do a collab with MegaMogwai Rarran, that would be so much fun!
Already did it :)
Ahh found it now! I love both lor and hs so you and mogwai is without doubt my favourite content creators in those two games so it litteraly made me so happy to see that you have a video together! Keep ut the AMAZING work Rarran ur the best!:)
You guys should play some money matches in LoR and Hearthstone where you play meme decks 🔥
Transforming a minion into one that costs 1 more is a powerful effect, yes, but Im surprised you didnt show other similar cards like Evolve. There are a bunch of much more powerful transform cards in heathstone, and compared to them, the landmark looks just ok, because transform decks tend to be very wide, and a landmark or two taking up minion slots on the battlefield can lower their powerlevel.
Goliath sees play in mech mage and mech priest because of such a small mech pool. I've played many goliaths off gorilla bots.
6:45 pretty OK in 40 card control warrior
Grape's poker face 😐
Jackpot! is the Hearthstone version of Karma's spell which Grapplr's main source of copium.
These "players guess cards" type of show is so entertaining. Keep up the good work!
Entitled customer looks like he's giving the middle finger!
Isn't Muck Pools basically Concurrent Timelines?
So is locations or whatever it’s called like a planeswalker in mtg but can’t be attacked
Having played a f2p control warrior deck i will say that blackscale brute is pretty ok. There are for sure better things to do but i would not consider it unplayable
Did GrappLr buy a new wig to use for this collaboration?
Whoa, I cant believe the locations were originally going to be 1 mana, im glad they get nerf'd lmao
Not all of them, just Muck Pools
Maybe it's time for you to organise your first tournament.
HS streamers vs LoR streamers playing each game.
I think there would be tons of video content material
Wait Grapplr isn't bald, I don't know how to feel about this
okani one of most played cards in the game
Can we have "Yeah.Shure" count pls?
"Meu amigo brasileiro Pato Papao"
Thumbnail source?
To comment on druid of the planes, you can almost look at it as a 7 mana 6/7 Taunt, Battlecry: Deal 7 damage to a minion, which just isn't impactful enough. I don't remember the meta around when this card was in standard off the top of my head but if you're ramping as druid the cards you want to play at that amount of mana are usually warping the entire game and if you're aggro you obviously won't include this card.
Its comparible to crowd roaster from rastakhan's rumble (the least powerful hearthstone expansion) which was only good off discover or maybe seen niche play in a book of spectres mage deck
But theres a 1 turn cooldown after activating.
Pokemon tcg with Tricky Gym when?
You gi oh next pls
Smart player !!
Hey rarran,
I would love it if you try to Collab with shadowverse content creater next, trying to guess how good shadowverse cards are
