A Runeteera Player Tries to Guess How Good Hearthstone Cards Are.mp4
• A Runeterra Player Tri...
Rarran, RegisKillbin, Zeddy, trump, thijs and other hearthstone youtubers all play different hs gamemodes. Duels, Battlegrounds, Standard, Arena and Wild are in the game that can new cards from new expansions to climb and win HS games.
Hearthstone is a card game based on WOW, it is also a digital card game.
Legends of Runeterra is a 2020 digital collectible card game developed and published by Riot Games. Inspired by the physical collectible card game Magic: The Gathering, the developers sought to create a game within the same genre that significantly lowered the barrier to entry.
The best card game duo is back!
Sinister poro doesn't see play, but people like you keeps him alive in our hearts💜
The best poro is back!
I completely agree with Rarran that Bard is really toxic. Playing vs Bard really feels like they either don't do anything, or just highroll you into submission.
I've been playing a Bard Soraka deck recently and it's very true, I built it in a way to be the worst match an aggro player will ever face. Basically it has so much heal that you just heal all your early game and then drop your big units. The problem is that it's literally unpredictable against everything else and depends on how good is your luck. It's fun tho.
@@enoshrs try playing viego printer with bard in it. When you have 2 viego and 2 bards on the field, your opponent will surrender.
Haha truely Yu-gi-oh gameplay
Not to mention it works the best with the most toxic mechanic in the game: ELUSIVE. They are balanced around being awful stat-wise, and chimes bypass that. The worst part? It's at random, so a bard game is down to mostly luck.
I think I have stated before how I think traps are toxic in design due to being too random in one way or another, and Bard just further cements my belief.
Bard is indeed stupid. The fact that you can literally also run her with Illaoi and get a rapid flip of him is nuts
When a HS player goes "Wow, that's toxic", you know it's time to kneecap Bard.
You know it's too far when a guy who play other card game said it was toxic on their first impression.
FOOL! Bard has no knees
It's kind of funny because most content creators said Bard was trash when he was revealed. Silverfuse is about the only one who had a positive reaction to him.
Imean it's not even Bard that's toxic, it's elusives. Love seeing the board flooded with high-stat elusives that I can't do anything about while Kinkou Lifeblade single-handedly stabilizes their board :)
@@meethepie quick update....its more annoying with demacia
One really important caveat to throw in here is that the meta is roughly 2 weeks old at the time of recording. There is still quite a bit of unexplored deckbuilding space and there can easily be some busted combo enabled by Jhin's origin that we're simply not aware of yet. I fully anticipate that opinions will shift as the meta continues to develop.
I don't follow the meta.
1) Do people play attune with low cost slow and quick spell? A tempo spell build.
2) Has anyone tried a Jhin attune deck? I've only seen Jhin skill decks. Mostly focused on stun. I have yet to see a deck built around slow and fast spells.
This - the other big thing about Jhin is that due to the nature of his Lotus Traps and his attack skill, he's dependent on ordering and stack management in a way no champion has been before. He's wickedly fun to play in Path of Champions (LoR's singleplayer mode), but even in situations like that which are tailor-made to give him opportunities to feel as cool as possible, there's a huge variance between how good he is with a successful big-brain play versus how hard he fizzles when you make a mistake in ordering.
He'll get better as more cards are added for sure, but there are also probably some undiscovered combos, or even just really solid decks that nobody's figured out how to pilot yet.
@@k9commander The main decks that run attune-like effects are Nami decks and Big Spell PnZ. Nami decks much prefer running burst speed spells because that allows all the stat boosts to take effect before the opponent has a chance to react, allowing you to build up a large elusive board that's really hard to deal with without something like quicksand. Big Spell PnZ is more midrange oriented, but as the name implies it tends to prefer larger spells while Jhin likes to throw out many spells.
You may consider running some kind of Jhin Ezreal deck, as there are a lot of skills that target things and Ezreal also likes playing smaller, spammable spells.
As always though, the big deckbuilding challenge is that you're effectively giving up a region to put Jhin into your deck. Often the thing folks want from their secondary region is not units but spells, and Jhin's Origin specifically has 0 spells in it.
@@webbowser8834
I was thinking Jhin Ez combo.
Big spells wouldn't work since Jhin wants to cast 3 spells.
I figured Nami wanted burst spells but didn't know if a fast spell version existed.
Thanks for the info.
@@k9commander Az?
13:02 Makes sense really. Bard is like the missing puzzle piece needed to make multiple deck types that weren't viable before more viable. Jhin isn't the missing puzzle piece needed, he's a just another piece for the same burn decks.
Everyone thought that bard was going to be bad because "you would sacrifice an entire region slot just to play his cards", but that's actually a relatively common practice in runeterra once you stop to think about it: Ezreal Kennen would use a region just to play Ezreal, Ahri Kennen just to play go hard or the absolver, Plunder just to play Sejuani(the freljord plunder cards are real bad). So yeah, "sacrifing" a region isn't a bad thing by itself
And don't forget the ex-meme of Mono-Shurima.
@@N12015 Ex-meme? How come it's an "ex"-meme? Is it not a meme anymore or is it so utterly trash that the meme isn't fun anymore (don't play PvP Runeterra anymore, sorry)
@@Ceracio Except that Mono Shurima was turbobusted for 2 patches before they decided to nerf sundisk
@@SilenceOase they didn't really nerf sundisk to the ground, it's just aggro back into the meta so mono shurima cry in the corner
@@SilenceOase Oh yeah? What did they do? I loved playing Mono-Shurima when it was still a meme
I heard Snnuy call Bard "Hearthstone of Runeterra" and that description couldn't be more apt. If you high roll your chimes you just win because memes.
Me hearing Bard and toxic in the same sentence: He's out of line but he's right.
But honestly the chime mechanic is insane, getting overwhelmed by damn buffy elusive minions is not a fun experience.
Yeah but is that the chimes or Elusives?
@@GeninGeo chimes
@@jetbean9157 Sure its the low chance to happen 1-1 not the keyword that ignores interaction with other cards.
@@jetbean9157 it’s elusive’s fault not chimes. Elusives are balanced around them being squishy with low attack, so they just get broken whenever there’s a card that buffs them up or you know demacia or Ionia happens.
We’ll just repeat this trend every single time riot releases a new buffing champion until they deal with elusives once and for all… don’t let bard become the next nami.
@@Swampert919 Both are a problem. The fact that Elusives are toxic doesn't change that Bard mechanic is completely luck-based.
The main man HappyChimeNoises that Snuuy mentioned at the end is a LoL content creator that covers “off-meta” builds in the game. So it’s someone playing a character in an off role or with usually considered weird items. Glad to see that he’s aware of him! His content is fantastic, same as yours! Makes me wanna get back into Hearthstone!
It was a meme since Bard released the CZcamsr just used the meme as his username
It's a meme from way back in league of legends, and Snuuy is a league player originally
This series has been so much fun!
I do agree, the more cards added from future expansion, the better Jhin will become
I loved the energy in this. Especially you two just talking about balance in both of your card games. Would be really cool if you guys sat down and talked about the differences with each game.
i love the editing oin this video, highlighting the reactions, nice mixture of cardtext, ingame footage and facecams. i have no real clue of any of these discussed cardgames, but i bingewatch this guessing/rating series, i love it
Jhin's strength is the fact you can put his cards in your Noxus aggro deck. He might not be a super strong card, but he let's you build a super strong deck
6:58 if you are YUGI himself this is gonna be the best card in the game
Correction: If you are YUGI himself any deck would be the best deck in the game as long as you use it
I love to see Runeterra content from you. I hope it happens more often :3
I never knew i needed a Format like this. At this pont the only thing that could make this better for me personally would be to do a collab with a Yugioh Player😅
I love the random zoom ins on Snnuy face lol, great video man
Love this series. Your Channel was the single thing that Got me back 2 HS. Keep up good work.
Loving these videos. I’d be really interested to see one where you guys see a card and try to guess it’s mana cost
play LoR mostly for PvE and I love playing Jhin there. unfortunately, his difficulty is the hardest and I often get overwhelmed by the boss stage
I managed to find aphelios support, with the double slow ability, ur would get an infinite loop, moon weapon and the thing jhin greate
As long a you keep in mind that attack order relates to skill order in a mirrored way you should be able to get max value out of his attacks. And counting. Counting is so important with him but miscounting is so easy xD.
I actually thought he was pretty easy to play especially once you get his star power, then it's a breeze.
It's just you need to think about ordering.
Always take healing buffs from chests and shops. And you will be fine.
@@JayStorm199 exactly
idk how none of us saw annie flopping and bard as a strong card, but this man nailed it. we all just collectively got brainwashed by the jhin hype and thought he would be the benchmark. o man
And now Annie/Ezreal is just by far more popular than Annie/Jhin
I wasn't sold on Bard based on the reveal... but now I have 10 Bard decks and he's already my second highest mastery champion. I just want to play Bard with every champ at this point lol.
@@WorldOfRuneterra Same, I have around a 75% winrate with Bard/Viego, it's absolutely broken because their level ups beneffit a lot from each other - the ephemeral mist boys growing count as buffs for Bard lvl up. You have like 4 win conditions in that deck and it's crazy fun too.
Speak for yourself.
Yeah. I was really excited about Bard. I didn't know if he'd be good or not, but it was annoying how everyone just assumed he was going to be trash
There’s a deck that can put around 200,000 chimes in your deck.
Bard is one of my favorites rn
Worth noting that Jhin is extremely good in Path of Champions, the PvE mode. I'd even call him busted once you unlock his Star Power (which every three spells/skills you play creates a good spell in hand for you).
He's good there, yes. Annie is incredibly busted there, I play her with luden's tempest + scroll at star power 3. I won games on turn one against bosses.
I might agree if the game would feel so inclined to give me champion shards for him so that I could actually play him in PoC.
I love these card game collab videos
Bard also has so much potential because a lot of a allgiance decks look for a splash region where they just put 3 to 6 cards from it. Bard gives so much value as a solo splash he gives you 3 chimes per round in your deck without even beeing drawn he is just the strongest splash card.
I love this videos man, I played Hearthstone till like the Lich King Expantion, since then I switched to Runeterra and yet I love seening you talk about both games and your reation or other players reactions to the cards. Guessing how good or bad they are. plz PLZ keep this coming I'll follow you to oblivion!
Actually if you make copies of the tentacles on your board you can have more than one tentacle :)
Great video, you and snnuy have good chemistry. Really enjoy this series but especially you two the most
The editing is so simple but funny af lmao
Oh btw Great Video as always
and the first time I saw bard I already knew He is really my type of champ and I love him.
:D
he is toxic lol
I love your two new series
1. Guess if the card is any good (Magic and Runeterra cards) and vice versa guess Hearthstone cards (from Magic and Runeterra players)
2. "Is this a fake Hearthstone card?' with HS legends
Both are awesome segments
Love your duo and the content ! Keep up the amazing work :D
Oh yeah, i was waiting for this content
Damn, I haven't played Runeterra in a while, Riot really isn't afraid of putting tons of text on their cards.
Because they have better card desain format. Hearthstone card text placement is so small, while Runeterra have wide space + you can click it to full screen the card description.
Jhin has the same problem as Yasuo where dealing damage to stunned enemies is overkill for the strategy, but his effect also deals damage to the nexus so he is playable,
Yeah stunning is enough of an effect for the the cost, damaging after is either an expensive kill or useless
I rly wanted more of this! Fave card game series in youtube
Lol I made Annie/Katarina with like 10 kill spells. Bard players be playing their buffed units and they get Flocked or Disintegrated before they're a threat.
Hey Rarran! I've been loving this series of videos so far and was wondering if for a newer episode it could integrate Shadowverse cards! As someone whose played both I think there's a very similar playstyle but with less health, less board space, and the evolve mechanic I think it would make for an interesting comparison!
I want you to do a gaming session with coach Snnuy hahaha just to try the new champs
yknow... this channel is full trivia stuufffzz
Love that format, its rly fun to watch
Karma eclectic is probably the most chimes you'll find in a game
2:22 .... That's pretty SUS 🧐🧐🧐🧐love this kind of content btw .... Also the cult of 4 (aka the die hard jhin fans) waiting for the right moment to become toxic someday....
Can't wait for your reaction to Aatrox and the Darkin.
The biggest problem with Jhin, is 12 skills or spells is actually quite alot to get his level up condition. He really has to have units that have ways of multi-skill using, like skills on attack or the manasoul student that triggers a 1 dmg skill the first time you play a skill or spell in a round, those are the only way to really get him to level at a reasonable pace. Playing soley from spell casting or units that have Play: effects, 12 units or a few spells, thats pushing you well past the mid range phases of the game, even bordering on late game, for what is fairly aggressive unit, that still needs extra support to make use of his abilities.
Anything besides skill-spam aggro is simply too slow for him, he's a great control card in theory, but he's kinda limited to aggro, and for that deck he would go in, there are other options. If he could trigger and level from burst or focus spells in addition to fast and slow, he would have alot more options to pair him with, and the fact he counts as one of your regions, means you might have access to more units, but limited to spells from strictly the region you're pairing him with.
Bard on the hand, whilst his own region, the few cards he has dedicated to him, work well enough on their own to make more viable with what ever you pair him with, and you're not limiting yourself on your champion's level up condition based on the region you pick.
But when you behold jhin it pretty fun, i made many deck with jhin
And yea i dont like aggro jhin😂
Bard is miles more flexible than Jhin, because Jhin has basically one deck, and it's aggro, where you just cram ALL the best skills and practically auto-build the deck. And you probably don't want a 4-drop in your aggro deck that you have to keep in order to get maximum value (the behold keyword). Bard is more of like a "package", you play Bard and some of his Chime friends in any region. Right now, best options are Ionia and Demacia (there are two different Bard/Demacia decks), followed by Targon.
Both champions have the potential to get exponentially better the more cards are added to the game though. But right now, Bard is just toxic. Fun, but toxic.
Happy chimes noises indeed, my friend
Bard, if the game goes long enough and you have ways to repeat play Maduli, getting Units into the hundreds of power and health is reasonably attainable. If you're playing with some one who is cool and letting you see how big you can make your units... you can literally reach well into the billions before the deck size or hard 40 turn cap hits. It's the most hilarious shit ever. Don't mind my 12.7 Billion / 12.7 Billion water droplet.
I need SO MUCH MORE of this
Been waiting for this
You earned my like with the cat in the hat cut
I built Illaoi Lux on a whim and holy fuck is that fun.
In every video Rarran forgets what overwhelm is lol :3
I just keep loving these vids! So fun
500+/500+ elusive ptsd.
7:42 i don't think that sentence aged that well
Great content, my man. Keep it up👆. Hoping for the Gwent collab soon.
God I love seeing these.
Also this one end just as abruptly as always.
Damn, Release Bard... Holy. I love Bard nowadays but to think that he was that busted... Sheeesh, I would have not played him because I'd feel bad for my opponent.
People complaining about bard zed meta and it's already a tier2 deck. We're 2 weeks in, things are changing.
Bard reminds me of the prince keleseth era
Would be interesting to see sunny play the deck and show you it in practise what it's like.
Hit them right on the nail for bard being toxic
I just wanted to ask Snnuy is streaming on twitch right?
Because I wanna follow him and watch his stream ofc.
Yep, you'll find him on Twitch, he streams almost every day.
I also thought at first that there were 2 cards that but chimes on the top card like Snnuy did but Maduli also does that but for some reason I thought it was each card in deck like the sheriff of piltover card
Jhins fatal flaw is something Runeterra is running into which is that a champion is not good unless it has a keyboard, especially on Champions that rely on attacking. Quick Attack, Trample, Barrier... something that can increase its survival or pressure. Jhin and annie has neither, which doesn't help their current 41% winrate even though they used to have a 69% play rate at the start of the season.
jhin is really good with leona from targon who utilizes stun very often but no one really plays it for some reason
i think some one got their stats to the billions with bard.
No, play Jhin with shadow isles. He sacrifices his followers to murder the enemy
I should be studying.. I SHOULD BE STUDYING RN!!!!!... ahhh.. I just can't miss out on runeterra content 😭
Jhin the Virtuso
love the series, I hope you collaborate with TheDuelLogs/TheTavernLogs
Id love if you'd invite guests too! Seeing Trump, Kripp or many people voting on how good a card is and looking who is right could be a lot of fun and will hopefully worth the effort!
Happy Chime noises!
Love these lor collabs!
Greetings from snnuy stream
well u did better thna I expected
I will say that if lotus trap is good enough, you don't need to actually be able to cast Jhin in order for him to be improving your deck
Happy Chime Noises 😊
6:58 you should try this concept with yu-gi-oh cards ^^ that could be really funny
The only one left is Gwent and we get royal flush
i would love to see this video series with yugioh
Illaoi is Jade Idol of LOR
iirc, jade idols scaled every time you summoned one right? If that's the case, viego is actually more accurate. Illaoi is more like amass in mtg
VIEGO is the Jade Idol of LoR. Illaoi is more like that legendary who grows each end phase.
I live for these videos
Love these videos.
the problem with Jhin is he needs much more setup, while bard will take his 6 cards and play with other things, just like bard in lol or dnd
also check out happychimenoises
I test with AI my bard deck with recalls just to hit millions of chimes with Maduli. and for PVP max just hundreds before the opponent surrender XD
keep up the good videos
Rarran, looking at the Runeterra icon on his desktop: No...I shan't play it, or I won't be able to guess how good the cards are anymore
maybe some runeterra stream sometime soon? :D
Lucky I beat a 23-12 spawn and 23-6 Illaoi
It bust but yup...I still win
2 billion chimes
Try to guess how good league champions are based on their LOR versions
I LOVE these videos
One thing not mentioned and holding Jhin back is that his Champion Spell really isn't all that good. And by that I mean: it is terrible! Way too slow for the decks that run Jhin!
That's the cost of flavour. Also, he was the only champion nerfed BEFORE its release.
True i hope they rework his champion spell
where did you get that Coraline wall art? I really like it
Displates
Bard with freljord is the worst I’ve seen
Since in Freljord they get attack after they survive damage
And also have ways to regenerate
Is so dumb and unfair, you can literally lose because of a single card
Holy moly, people still play Hearthstone?
