Join me, Denny Salvage, as we walk down memory lane in outdoor museums of automotive history. We look for that "Gold Mine" of a parts car or that restorable "Gem in the Rough". In every episode we highlight several such treasures. Occasionally one of these "Gems" comes back to the shop for an upgrade as we "Bring 'Em Back To Life". As sponsors come on board we'll take more 'walkabouts' in salvage yards and bring more gems back to the shop. To support this fun subscribe to my CZcams channel and see more American steel run and roll again.

Nothing that $20K and 850 hours won't fix. Bless the folks who restore these cars; it's an astronomical amount of work. TV makes it look like it can be done in 22 minutes.

Just seeing those old cars make me think about my Dad who passed away in 1995. My Mom also passed away just about three months before my dad. That all so was the same year that my daughter graduated from high school. My mom was seventy one. and dad seventy two. I think about both of them and my five brothers every day. I love them all and miss them all so very very much.

Well I might have enough time on my hands to watch these great old uploads (again)-and also for a few hours of piano practice every day.. However, I Still can't play like Scott Joplin and ..I haven't got a yard full of classic American cruisers either, but I just want to say I do like watching these. Thank You. Hope you guys are happy and well.

Thank you JOHNNIE!. I do have a small collection of 1956 Chevrolets. The convertible we work on is one of mine and I do play piano enough to bang out The Entertainer! as well. I love salvage yards and have found a niche that others do also. Thanks again.

What! Jack is not with us anymore? I was stationed at Fort Riley during the early eighties and loved going to Easy Jack's salvage, he always had different stuff. I past through Junction City in mid 2000 and stopped in Easy Jack's. Jack was talking to me about closing shop because it cost so much to run a salvage yard. I am glad to see that place again. Its a place that a diamond in the rough. the Older section has not changed at all, still all the same stuff.

Our family saved a 67 mustang sitting in the weeds neglected in Corning Ca. We put new ties and towed it home. My daughter is 14 and she is helping in the restoration. Will be her first car and drive it to high school. I painted it candy royal blue. Just needs new windshield dash pad carpet all rubber seals window felt and turn signal parts that go in the hood. To save money painted the bumpers. For you painters I used paint from www.custompaints.com
The paint cost $1,300 but is worth it.

Wow!, at the stuff! The one that grabbed my attention right away more than any others was that '51-'53 Packard near the beginning! That '56 Chevy 4 door is too complete and nice for a parts car, should be restored...the days of 4 doors being only for parts cars or "undesirable" are in the past. All those 'verts lined up should have at least had tarps over them...I'm sure years with no tops have converted them all to rusty shells...and all those '30's-'40's cars?...all the talk of "rat rods" made me shutter...should be used as parts for proper restorations, some could even be restored...finally, I hope these cars can find homes before someone comes in with a crusher some day to "clean the place up".... :)

most bolts will come out just a bit of oil or wd-40 and wait a moment then it'll come right off,
what is it and old like pre 50's cars with bullet holes in them? is it like you played mobsters or re-enact bonnie and clyde in those or was it just "lets go out and shot that dat ol' car in the field"
WOW WHAT IS THAT DOING THERE?! 2 door 57' plymoth or more commnly known as christeen the killer car! if it was like a 4 door i'd understand but its a 2 door!
gotta love the ol' bathtub nash's very cool and complete car! nice old 62/3 caddy limo you can tell its a earily 60's caddy as the fin were slowly being phased out until i think 67' 68' when all caddy's lost there fins in fact everything lost its fins and crome,
