- The UK shore fishing scene can often be a nightmare! But Graeme likes to be out on the beach at least trying. Not every trip comes up with fish, but there is always something out there to stimulate the imagination. There is always one word the British sea angler lives by...HOPE !!....That next shore trip might just be the one you get your fish of a lifetime....

Came for the fishing, stayed for Graeme!
Mate don’t change 😂 keep up the good work to
Graeme I love your videos, whether you catch fish or not. Especially the beach stuff, which is my passion. It’s the only fishing code I get to pursue, with a young family, work, etc. Me and my pals live in the centre of the UK, so fishing the coast is a very rare treat, but this coming weekend is one of those moments. There will probably be no fish, conditions won’t be great, we will be cold before we even get out of the car, the bait we get will have seen better days, but it doesn’t matter. We are already giddy kippers, making rigs, fine tuning equipment, enhancing traces (my mates used all his Wife’s best nail polish touching up his spinners 😬) and generally sending our better halves nuts, leading up to Friday. Can’t wait to watch the tides, smelling the salt, watching the conditions change, wildlife buzzing about, laughing with your mates, brewing coffee, frying bacon and having a superb time. Sadly there is one good thing about not catching fish, we have space in the fish bag for all the rubbish left by holidaymakers and sadly guys calling themselves anglers. Take it home, take other people’s home, so we can enjoy it for years to come. Great channel, great videos, great subscribers. Don’t stop, because every time you go, it’s like we are there too👍🏻
A slow day at the beach is still better than a day in the office 👍🏻
Exactly. Which is why I quit my job and moved to a beach shack down in Panama.
Where abouts is this you're fishing at. Looks lovely
Fantastic video again. Makes my week and double upload this week. Really appreciate all the hard work from the Pullens. Come on mike, when’s part 2 of the shelter coming. Your old mans had a double upload lol.
Love the sound of the waves coming over the pebbles, so relaxing
Proper English humour in all your videos, well done and thank you for all the laughter and hard work that goes into making these videos.
Any man sitting on a beach fishing while eating some food is a happy man .
(Hand raised) Smith at the back here, Sir. You very wisely say "Always take care when you're wading" and this advice reminded me of my first beach fishing trip with a schoolfriend. I was around 10 years old and was on school holidays. My father was at work and, boosted by my first ever fish - a 4 inch flounder caught after 2 years of trying and reading my first fishing book (not one of yours I'm afraid to say but the boy's bible - 'Fishing With Mr Crabtree') We decided to go to my local beach which was only a 5 minute walk away. Things were different back then. We were allowed out - even encouraged - to go out to the park, climb trees etc as our parents had when they were young and there were bombs falling in their day. When he was 10, my father had walked by himself to a library during an air-raid, walked home, read it and then walked back during another air-raid to return the book so I thought I could do anything when I turned 10. Anyway, I went with a friend who had recently got a rod for his birthday. We had dug some earthworms from the garden (not recommended in Mr Crabtree's book for sea fishing but all we could get) and set off wearing only my swimming shorts, jumper and plimsols. That week my Dad had read to me the fishing column in the local paper that said sole had been caught from the beach and there were also a lot of weaver fish around and some swimmers had been stung. There was even a photo of one which Dad warned me never to touch if I ever caught one. I usually used a porcupine quill for fishing in the harbour but that day had a 2oz lead which I hoped wouldn't snap my whippy rod and hook - tied with granny knots as the ones Mr Crabtree used were too complicated. I waded out to cast and then held the rod on the beach. I took my plimsols off as I only had 2 pairs of shoes and the plimsols were also my school gym shoes. When I waded back right in the shallows from one cast, I felt a sharp stab in my foot. I limped back out shouting to my friend a weaver fish had stung me and waited for the poison to finish me off. It was a cloudy day so weren't any people on the beach and I knew I wouldn't make it home as I couldn't walk. My friend confirmed a black spine was in my foot and I lay on my back on the sand looking up at the clouds thinking I'd soon be up there and how annoyed my Dad would be with me. He'd survived the Nazis and I'd been done for by a small fish. But then a miracle occurred. I was sitting on the wet sand and a frothy wave washed up a dead bumblebee right beside me. I'd rather have seen that dead bumblebee than to have wound in the British record bass which at that time was 18lb 4oz - or even the tiddlers you caught in this video. Anyway, thanks for your belated advice about the dangers of wading out.
Why is seeing a dead bee a miracle? Am I missing something?
yessssss Totally awesome friday!!
No cooking today, I look forward to your cullinary delights , sausage, eggs, spag bol, not even a mug of tea, with a bit of fishing inbetween. Ha Ha keep up the good work.
Hope you feel better soon Pops. We need more fishing in all our lives.
Fossils, Graeme? I'm surprised they left you alone! Very enjoyable.
We all have them days graham 🤣🎣 at least you got the rods out 🐟
More often than not
Beautiful day. Love that sound of the waves on the shingle and stones.
Fishing has been quiet here as well. So I have put the rods away for now and have been collecting shellfish on the big low tides
Thanks again Graham I know not ideal but it's you and you son that encourages like minded anglers like me that Jan's not just for watchin video's!
Watch this as a lure sea bass fisherman in Ireland and you are so entertaining. Love it .
"HEY! SMITH! Get back here with that Aeroplane" Brilliant
Andrew West
Lol 😂
Legened Graham. Great how you explain everything so clearly, especially rigs and watercraft. Fantastic.
Awesome outfit :) Such is the life of the intrepid fishermen, better luck back at home, oh! and spit on the worm LOL
Bring on the spring and summer. Love mucking about on the beach☺
In the summer I use chest waders off our local beaches. Very often as I wade out the school bass are darting around my legs.
Very nice Graeme. A taste of nice weather. The days are getting longer so I hope everyone is noticing that it's not so gloomy. Day time fishing is a mugs game along here (Yarmouth area) but a nice way to while away a nice day if you're happy not to catch. Thank you.
At least you’ve got a great day outside 😎 Thank you from Kentucky, USA
totally awesome indeed. i am so glad i found your and mikes show. it is helping me a great deal, with relaxing and building focus. as i am dealing with ptsd. just wanted to say thank you grahaem. from Alberta, cheers.
Glad you enjoy the films, and if there is something in them in them that helps someone it makes all the work worthwhile.
another awesome video keep up the amazing work you do. showing us amateurs how to setup our rods and showing that its not always about catching but enjoying fishing great job Graeme
In Grahame we trust 🙏
Just love your videos. I’m in China by the way and I fish here too. Sometimes gather a crowd. When I put them back the locals think I’m mad 😂
Seems like its been a really slow year for beach fishing everywhere to be honest. Times like this you've just gotta weather it i guess. Keep it up Graeme. Always entertaining even on sessions like this.
That's Fishing, The great think is Your happy to be there. Great way to spend a day.
Lol, I love Bracklesham Bay, but only caught two small Bass there last August! Never mind Graeme you don't often get 'Blankety Blanks!'
What a great place, fantastic to get out. Enjoyed your video!
Hi Graeme. Spring comes early in the South! HIHI.
Happy to see 'Smith' made an appearance! ;-)
As my Grandad (rip) used to say " There's a very thin line between sea fishing and sitting on the beach like an idiot". LOL. We still did it regularly though. Keep up the good work Greame.
Colin Mitchell that saying can be applied to most disciplines of angling especially if you ever see me trying to fly fish on a windy day.
Always entertaining and informative irrespective of what ya catch. Another great shore fishing video Graeme 👍
You can't beat the sound of shingle and waves
best fishing channel on youtube i'm hooked.... thank you so much for the great content tops.
Wow.. I used to go there as a kid and stay in my grandparents caravan over 40 years ago. Grandfather used to have a boat and fished for conger. Rumour has it some we’re pushing 100lb.
I love this show. It's so down to earth and unlike the rest.
Top stuff as always chaps, loving the saltwater videos. Such a shame there just isn't a few more fish about... Well fish that are bigger than a 1lb or aren't Whiting! :-)
I have to admire your persistence Graham, keep up the great work. Maybe you should try the East Coast sometime or maybe even the Humber. Tight lines mate and good luck :)
Graeme, you and Mike make me jealous of where you guys live and what you're able to do.
If you're ever south of the equator in the old prison colony. I'd love to take you fishing and do some Bushcraft camping at the same time.
Benefits of Australia I guess. Being able to Fish, Hunt and have a forest you can camp in within kilometres of each other.
Looks good gotta say
Hi Graham, I fish this exact part of "The island" that I fish for Bass. Its been super slow this year for me, with just the odd small fish. Most disappointing considering in previous years Ive had bass to 9lb just round the corner from there. Great video, take care, Dan SMITH..!!!!!!!
You should try boat fishing in weymouth, Portland with Maccy
Great video Graeme! Keep at em!
You and Mike are legends, keep it up.
I walk my pups on that beach...would love to bump into you....appreciate you probably don't like being bothered.....especially whilst filming.......another great episode from the legend that is Graeme Pullen
Great vid as always Graeme.
Great show Graeme.
slow day Graeme, definitely not due to lack of effort👍🎣
Lines out beats no lines out any time!
Totally awesome mate!
You have SMITH out there spotting for you in a plane just like the outer banks tuna fishing show! No wonder you always find the fish!!!
I like Graeme but I prefer the banter and relationship when both Graeme and Mike are fishing. Bring back Mike to fishing!
Great vids guys. Love the sea films the most. Keep it up. Hello from New Zealand 👍
!
Best fishing channel on CZcams just sayin
Thought you done a Reggie Perrin there for a moment Graeme, Enjoyed!
small baits are great! "Even elephants eat peanuts"
I love your fishing vids Graham, hopefully I'll see u at the big one!!!!
Not doing the Big One this year I'm afraid.
@@TAFishing ah shame!!
if kids ask me if i am fishing i just smile and say no i am here to catch a wave lol
Wow- amazing!
Graeme..did you say kids were throwing stones at you?
It was probably Smith 😂
Great video, nice to see the schoolies about, tight lines Si 🎣🏕
I feel your pain, dude. I sat freezing my knackers off for ten hours yesterday, and just as i was about to reel in my ledger, i hooked a 7lb mirror carp. Ten hours for one fish is insane. But I'm going again tomorrow - of course.
Just up the road from me! Good stuff.
Some serious Ragworm them G man
all in a days fishing Graham!..
This makes me long for the summer especially after last one
Shore fishing atrocious at present, but we live in hope, fishermen are eternal optimists!
Great video oh yeah yeah
Graeme, I seriously don't recommend brackleshambay or selsey, total waste of time. Instead if u go down the road a bit to west wittering (the far deep end that curls to chichester hrb) its full of bass, whiting etc. The only prob is dogwalkers
By the way your show is really cool l love your quips and good ideas.
Hi Graham, a very enjoyable video, thanks. At around the 25 min' mark you talk about problems with crabs. Have you ever used cork/polyballs to pop-up your baits from the bottom? Thanks again!
They have, and they put up a video about it too. Wasn't cork, but they was pop-up stuff.
I hear Boot’s do a very good cream, very effective when applied twice daily.
Fishing where I live but I don’t fish bracklesham I go to aldwick I find it fishes quite well and more chance of picking up rays
Excellent video as usual. I need your expertise and help please. You said you had braid on reell. Im just about to start using braid but have no idea on knots to use. For braid to braid and braid to nylon. Also braid to hooks swivels etc. Any advixe greatly revieved.
Regards
Neil
Wot fun video stay cool mate
Could you do a vid of species other than Pike/Chub that are up for the hook this time of year!
If I were u I would try out Brighton marina it’s great for fishing there I have caught many fish and many species
Thankyou
Friday night sorted.
amity island..any seal colonies around hmmmm remember the old saying! find the bait ..you will increase the odds for fish with teeth..big teeth!
Love the vids not watched for a while I didn't have notis on rip
Is that a polarised lens ? The sea always looks blue but when I got to the beach (south wales ) its brown or black haha
No,we can't afford such luxuries as polarised lenses.
Oh my god I used to go swimming there when I was younger
Hi Graham, what do you think about drone fishing ?
That bloke was looking gold
why not Poole for those big flounder..I hear in winter..
ive not fished since September trying to get my health sorted 200 mackerel in the freezer caught this summer need to get the rods out
graham I was told something about tide coming in and going out by my grandad who was at the Dunkirk beaches he said that he wateched the waves and could count smaller waves then big waves then could see when tide was coming in and going out?
As per usual a great show. Does Smith know the name of band or musician that is used for the music that accompanies this video
Is this video from last year? I Cant see no sun this winter 😂
Keep it up Graeme! you're the man. Looks like a lovely place to fish, shame nothing much happening!
I'm off beach fishing for the first time soon. What bait should i take if i justcwant to catch any fish dont care what size. Basicly what is the maggots of sea fishing?!😁
Ragworm or lugworm, and I find fishing into the dark is the only way to boost your chances, even if its only for 2/3 hours.
@@TAFishing nice I'll see if i can get some. Thanks for the help
Try pagham beach for night fishing or selsea next time your in sussex
26:16 is that people over there swimming in late January?Or was this filmed in the summertime?I'm confused 😎
those rag worm are like the creatures in the film tremmors
Glad to be first one on here keep up the good work always ready for a fishing video graeme
Thank you once again Graham for a great video u saved a blank that's what counts... I don't understand this Thumbs Down sh1t, if you don't like it don't watch it... Tight lines my friends..
