    For such a heavy truck. This is in line with the industry. Excellent results for 40 inch tires IMO.
    Currently getting 11-15 mpg in a 2004 Land Cruiser on 33s . Stock gearing . 1000lbs of extra gear .

    highway miles truck alone is one thing, towing a 7,000# trailer another, and off road 4Wd a third. Thanks for the video

    Cool vid dude. My 21 PW has 35's, everything else stock. I get 16-18 on the highway. My stock 2014 GMC 1/2 ton with the wimpy 5.3 only got 20 highway in ideal conditions. Not bad. Then again, if a guy wants to worship good fuel mileage, ride a bike. I couldn't care less.

      You could put 35s without a lift and no running? Darn good mpg. My dad is getting 16 on his 2020 Tacoma TRD.

    Is that accounting for speedometer error at all?
    Did you change gears to run the 40s?
    If not did you remap the computer or put a tuner in the compensate for the lower speed I want to reading at the same speed traveled?

  • @Djtruckin
    @Djtruckin Před 28 dny

    Unless you changed your gears you actually get better mileage on the highway than 33’s ,unfortunately you lose off-road gearing with stock 4:10 . 33’s actually have a lower range than 40’s. Just do the math. Numbers don’t lie

    Is your truck regeared or is it the stick 4.10s?
    Edited: I read through the comment again. I didn't catch it the first time. You mentioned you are running the stock gears 4.10. Thanks you for this vid.

    Thanks for the vids bro...I just ordered a 22 PW and Carli Suspension, Methods and 37s....Cant wait to give it hell in my bucket list truck...Did you re-gear, or still running the 4:10s? I'm thinking of putting 4:56s in....

    • @SeguroOffroad
      @SeguroOffroad  Před 3 lety +2

      What up playa pimp. With the Pro-Cal switch I was able to recalibrate the speedo. I was also able to change the tire pressure setting, in the computer. Factory is something like 60 in front, 65 in rear. The tires had max PSI of 36.
      Gears: I have not re-geared. When I spoke with Yukon and Nitro gears, no one offers gears for the 5th gen Ram 2500's. If you find anyone who does, let me know. I am looking to bump to 4.88's.

      @@born2win262 that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. The difference in time you spend at the pump on a truck like my 21 PW that gets 14 combined average compared to 17 combined average like my old 2014 GMC 1/2 ton is negligible.

    Good Morning Chief, i'm in Phx too 🙌🏽. Did you do the install, trimming, cutting yourself? I've got the same amazing identical truck, looking to put some 38s but every shop wants to lift it at least 8", i don't want to lift it more than i have to...

    • @SeguroOffroad
      @SeguroOffroad  Před rokem

      Yo, You can fit 40 on factory suspension . . . if you are willing to cut lol. When I committed to 40's, I was on factory suspension. My last trail run was John Bull, in bear, with factory suspension and 40's. Hit me up on instagrams, facebooks or contact me via www.segurooffroad.com.

    • @redbeastadventures
      @redbeastadventures Před 2 měsíci

      Lifting it only marginally helps with larger tire clearance. When you flex the tires they still travel thru the wheel wells unless the suspension doesn’t allow the full flex. I ran 37s on the stock suspension before I put on the Thuren/Carli lift. It did not rub then at full lock or full articulation. Now looking to go to 38s next. I will have to make some more room in the inner fender liner and stock bumper to fully clear 38s while using the truck for offroading. I don’t hold back on my truck offroad kinda like Seguro and his truck.

    • @SeguroOffroad
      @SeguroOffroad  Před 2 lety +1

      What up Nick. At the time of filming, I was on stock suspension. I am now running a thuren leveling kit, with king shocks. Note: to fit 40's on stock suspension, I trimmed fenders and made a few tidy cuts to cab and body mount cradle. I'll drop an edit on the cuts and my suggestions soon.

  • @dayuiz

    What size tires did you have in the beginning of the video?
    And did you re gear your differentials with the 40’s?

    • @SeguroOffroad
      @SeguroOffroad  Před 3 lety

      Beginning of the Video was with 35's. I have not re-geared and the truck is doing what it needs to do, off-road. I am sure I can improve gas mileage on the road. However, from my last conversation, no one is producing gears for 5th Gen Ram 2500's. Until I find a manufacturer who does, I will be rocking the stock gears.

  • @glenginzel5309

    What size lift are you running to fit 40s? Looks like you did some trimming. I'm looking to fit 40s with my existing 6" lift. Any info would be much appreciated.

    • @SeguroOffroad
      @SeguroOffroad  Před 2 lety +1

      At the time of this filming, stock suspension on a Power Wagon, which is 2 inches higher than a standard 2500. I trimmed fenders and cut the cab back, and resealed. I still had rubbing, at full articulation, but nothing damaging. Once I bumped to a Thuren Leveling kit, the rubbing is gone.

  • @emdyproductions
    @emdyproductions Před 2 lety

      I do not have any engine mods yet. Who knows, those may come. I am, generally speaking, trying to shy away from drivetrain changes. Engine/Transmission, to not void those warranties haha. We will see how it plays out. . . I may have to just scrap those plans and go for it.
