The reason why that guy was arrested was because someone else did that exact thing to King Charles, after which it was illegalized to carry eggs out in the open in such events. Thing is, King Charles wasn't even that bothered by it, he was probably more concerned over the waste of food.
I never really understood the school lunch system. At all the schools I went to, my brother, sister, and I always got free lunch except for one day where they tried to force us to pay. I just thought it was how things worked. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong, but there wasn't even a system in place to pay that I could tell. And these were not some fancy schools, we always had very little money and we wouldn't have been able to afford to pay for lunch all those years if they'd forced us. So I don't really know what happened.
Here in Finland food was free when I went to school, for primary(grades 1 - 6) and secondary schools(grades 7 - 9) to be precise. When you start your studies for the profession you are interested in the future, in those schools you have to pay for the food.
I remember once we got to the higher grade levels we had to pay because it was actually decent food like chicken tenders and burgers. I remember the lunch ladies using me and my friends as guinea pigs to test their new spicy tenders. They slapped so hard. This was like 2002 in a decently sized American school district.

I've never even considered that there might be ppl who keep a shit ton of tabs open since I'm the type of person who usually never leaves any tabs open, and if I need to go back to a site, I'll just save it, but that's just me.
When I first got my smart phone that was one of the first things mom told me. (Ironically it's a case of the parent being more knowledgeable about technology than the kid. I was stubborn and stuck to flip phones for several generations after smart phones became a thing.) So I always close tabs i'm not using. But granted even if she didn't tell me I coulda worked it out. Or it mighta just never happened cause my OCD would make me close them all anyway.

Here's the truth about the Kardashians/Jenners. If you really want them to go away, don't comment on their posts about how much you don't care about their posts. Don't even click on them. It only gives them more power and they know it. All their posts, "name a more iconic duo", "break the internet, Kim", are designed to bait responses by their haters as well as their stans. Ignoring their existence is the only true way to significantly reduce their exposure. But unfortunately, it won't happen. They really know how to bait us.
This is why i'm glad I don't have social media accounts. I have no reason to use them. Save for maybe saying hi to close family and friends on facebook every so often. But I have a phone for that so really ... don't need it.

12:35 Now, it also the browser's fault, and besides Safari is the shitties one. No browser should have a performance issue if it has no tabs or 100 or more of them. Never happened with Samsung browser or Firefox. Because the tabs are stored as URL tags, and reload once you open them.

The reason I keep so many tabs open on my phone and computer is because I have ADHD, so if I don't see it, it might as well not exist because I’ll forget about it instantly. I've tried bookmarking and it never helped because I need to pull up a whole new page just to see them, and the bookmark icon is so small I can barely see it so I forget bookmarking even exist as well
I know it's still stupid but honestly, it's helped me remember important websites I need to visit for college work (I do close the tab if I know I'm not going come back to it any time soon or not at all)

Speaking of school lunches, there’s this charity called World Central Kitchen that makes meals for those in need.
One of the features of firefox that i like is that, even if i have an absurd amount of tabs open, if i close firefox and open firefox again, it only loads the tabs that i revisit, so for example if i were to have say.... 2000 tabs, ive tried this btw, Firefox will not load the tabs that are not in use, chrome on the other hand.... phew... if you close chrome and reopen chrome with that many tabs, chrome crashed for a solid 15 minutes at least... if it doesnt crash first.
At times ive had up to 500 tabs open, its another reason why i like firefox more than chrome honestly.
Why do i have that many tabs open? honestly its a lazy routine, it started because i had both work and school at one point and i just didnt have time to organise the tabs and i kept opening youtube videos that i wanted to watch in new tabs, but after i reached 500 youtube tabs in chrome it didnt go well... i also forgot to watch the videos, then i forgot the tabs even existed, and they just kept piling up.
Much better now, but man... my old computer was in an existential crisis for an extended period of time.
As someone whos used chrome most of his life.... switching to firefox was amazing.

One thing most of my schools did in terms of lunches is they actually offered free lunches to low income kids. Granted it was separate from normal lunches and was less food just being a pb&j sandwich but it was at least something.
I was really lucky that my school offered free lunches to low income, and they were the same as everyone else's, but you had to prove somehow that you were low income I guess? I don't know since I was a kid so I didn't really know much about the whole process but yeah, if I hadn't had that system I'd not have eaten at school and it was the only meal I had in a day most of the time so i was so grateful.
We have the same morons here in Denmark that dunno that you can 'close a tab' on a phone and that merely returning to desktop dun close it... or when you say 'close the app' they think 'durrrr do you want me to delete it!?'... Sheesh, I think some people are just... lost causes.

I want to make a secondary comment over the lunch debt bullshit.
In NY, at least in my area, there is a "social net" for kids who can't afford lunch. Lunch can be free or reduced for students from low income families, or they can get a "basic meal" if their digital funds run out (payments have switched to online here. Your parents fill up an account at a premium, like a normal card with a transfer fee, and then you use it at school.)
However, low income needs to be verified with employment and tax information, which isn't available for everyone, obviously, and the free meals are a fucking joke, not to mention that NY, being the pioneer of trigger-finger for mental health in schools, as I've experienced myself, causes kids to either agree to these meals to their own detriment, or rack up debt.
And if you're wondering why I said detriment, you can probably guess why.
Every free meal I've seen is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Sometimes they have ham and cheese, but these usually run out in the first lunch period (a lot of New York districts have multi-period lunches even in lower grades due to the population. I live in Rochester and "small classes" are still a major selling point.) So if you have an allergy to gluten, or peanuts, or anything in that sandwich, you're shit out of luck. But they won't let you go without food because they will have to call the nurse's office and start keeping a record on how often you don't eat to make sure you aren't anorexic (I am serious.) So this leaves the debt. You have to buy meals you can't afford, and it gets put on debt.
Then, because NY actually doesn't allow meal debt accumulation, they'll call your parents to collections and demand the money immediately or deny meals. But like I said before, no meals turns into an automatic mental health report, because they will attempt to sit you down and shove the sandwich in your face, even if you're allergic.
So basically, fuck your children for all we care. Pay up, Pearson needs to print more books.
