This is *profoundly* informational. I have never seen anyone explain the "rules" for making hand-paw patterns, especially with the dart-formed fingers.

i've been trying to pattern my own slightly stylised canine handpaws, and this video has definitely helped me realise that the shaping issue i was having with them was the base of the top finger pieces being too wide, so thank you for that as well!

These are definitely a slimmer fit than kloofsuits 5 finger puffy paws, but yeah you can just not put darts in the fingers and make them even slimmer!
I think these would also make very awesome werewolf hands

Maybe this helps your hurting fingers: when turning paws inside out I always yous a pen to push. Works surprisingly fine ^^

Oh I like these a lot! Do you think an approach like this could be used for some more slender, humanoid hands like in Beastars? I'd like to maintain as much hand coordination as possible, and I've been looking for the best approach.
oh I think you totally could! remember fur adds bulk so you may even wanna swap the fur out for a lower loft fabric if you want even slimmer hands - joanns pure plush fleece is like a long haired minky and very stretchy, i know magpiebones recently tried making form fitting gloves with them the same way cosplay gloves are made!

I made it myself! I believe in the video I have shown myself creating the pattern as well. For the palm design I looked up pictures of raccoon hands for reference, you could do that with coatis too!

to find out what shape it should be, I would look at pictures of real red pandas! :3 i have a video showing you how to draw up the head patterns of any species you want to turn into a fursuit head :3
