Thanks for this video, as an Orthodox Christian I am looking to do a Pilgrimage to Georgia to visit the many Monasteries and Churches of Georgia once Covid passes, so learning these little phrases is really helpful!

My first real times in Georgia were just before and during the 2008 war there. I lead a team of volunteers who did our best to bring comfort and assistance to those suffered following those events. I have only been back a few times. One of those times is coming around again and it may last for a few months. Thanks very much for helping me remember a few basic phrases in Georgian and I feel better about it already. Nakvamdis! Madloba!

Thank you so much! I have been learning Georgian slowly... It is a beautiful language with some difficult sounds to pronounce. The grammar is also intriguing. @@HodaGeorgia I think for beginners English + latin transcription + real Georgian script is a good structure. That's how it's often done with beginners of Chinese. It's good even for beginners to see the letters and start to get used to it.
@@benl9047 we added georgian alphabet subtitles, you can see it if you turn on youtube CC function on the video
Regarding is it good or not, from our practice its not good, but anyway many people asked and we added Georgian alphabets as well

I wanted to thank you for your video, I’m Georgian (75%) and Turkish (15%) and I live in France...my dad is Georgian and my mom is half Turkish half Georgian. My dad doesn’t always speak in Georgian (only with his georgian friends) and since we’re speaking Turkish or French at home we couldn’t -as children- learn how to speak Georgian. My dad speaks a kind of old georgian and our grandfathers were migrants from Batum...(to Turkey).
I actually wanted to suprise my father with some Georgian phrases since he gets really happy when we’re trying to learn it and your video was very helpful.
