  • Hey guys. Welcome to this video. In this video, we are going to compare the HP Envy x360 (Wood edition) with the Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5. Both laptops are put through an 11 round battle to compare these. Both host Intel's i7 Ice Lake processors, 16 GB of RAM, and 1 TB of SSD, and in many other ways they are similar, so it's a close call. But there can be only one winner.

    Just realized a mistake I made. I made Round 10 come before 9. Sorry for that guys. And I really should have emphasized more on the trackpad on the HP Envy x360. Its that good. You get so much of a premium feel as compared to the Flex 5.
    2022 Edit: Hey guys I have been using the HP Envy x360 but out of nowhere the hinge on the HP got stuck when I was opening my laptop and I am unable to free it. This partially removed the screen and cracked the screen entirely and the screen is now not working. This is a serious quality issue with the HP Envy x360.

    Lenovo Flex 5 also has mic kill switch. Turn Fn Lock off and hit F4 and your microphone will be disabled. You can also add the lenovo vantage toolbar to your taskbar to easily turn the microphone off instead of going to the app

    Too bad Hp Envy is about RM5000 - RM6000 in my country 😂 Can't afford that. Everything is expensive here 😭 Out of my budget. Lenovo Flex 5 is around RM3989 - RM4000+ here. Within my budget

    does palm rejection works on those two laptops?

    • @RishiPriyan
      @RishiPriyan  Před 3 lety

      Since both laptops don't come with a stylus, I wasn't able to test that. But if you go to the Windows 10 Pen & Windows Ink Settings, there is this option called "Ignore touch input when I'm using my pen" so I am guessing there is Palm Rejection but I'm not completely sure.

    I compared flex 5 14 inches and pavilion x360 (both core i5 *1135G7, 8GB, 512GB) myself and pavilion wins all comparison points except speakers in flex 5 are more clear but pavilion more loud if on table or hard surface and typing is tad easier on Lenovo, The screen is more bright on pavilion. Pavilion is eye pleasing but more expensive though.

    Hi, which one should I buy for AutoCad and editing?

    • @RishiPriyan
      @RishiPriyan  Před 2 lety +1

      There are a set of question you need to answer first for the perfect laptop.
      1) Are you planning on buying these exact same laptops with the exact same specs or a different spec-d Ideapad Flex 5 and Envy x360?
      2) What resolution do you edit at (FHD, 4K, 8K)?
      3) Will you use AutoCAD for 2D or 3D designs?

    • @HelloHi-so4gk

      @@RishiPriyan for no. 1 yes. For no. 2 and 3 idk 😅 I'm a freshman engineering student tho and I'm not familiar with tech stuff, but I need a new laptop. My prof told me that we will be using these apps, so which one do u prefer?

    • @RishiPriyan
      @RishiPriyan  Před 2 lety +1

      @@HelloHi-so4gk Then I would recommend the HP Envy x360 because of its superior build quality and better quality speakers when compared to the flex 5. I asked question 2 and 3 to recommend you some specs. If you don’t edit in 8K (8K editing is super rare), integrated graphics are fine. For AutoCAD, I would recommend you at least get a decent GPU with at least 4GB vRAM. So all in all I recommend the HP Envy x360 although there are other great offerings from companies like Dell, Razer, Asus, and Apple. So for specs I recommend you get at least
      i7-1065g7 or it’s AMD equivalent or the M1.
      16GB RAM
      512GB SSD
      Dedicated GPU with at least 4GB vRAM (you should get an external GPU if you get the m1 MacBooks)

      @RishiPriyan  Před 2 lety

      The Flex 5 is ideally the more wallet-friendly option whilst the Envy x360 is a bit more premium. This applies from trackpad to display. But are you planning on buying these exact same specs and for what purpose are you planning to buy?

      @RishiPriyan  Před 2 lety

      @@shaterrica363 If you are planning on getting these exact same specs, I'd recommend the HP Envy x360. Fortnite is a very lightweight game so the Intel Iris Plus will do more than enough for Fortnite. Going with the HP will result in a beautiful display for gaming.
