    It would be very helpful if you give or put the part numbers of both fittings. To simplify the process in ordering or getting part.

    Is it code compliant to use option 1 to change a single bathroom vanity into a double sink? I ask because it would not have a hot/cold shutoff for each sink but just 1 to combine for both.

    Do you need teflon tape for the first shown supply tee?

    • @KalOrtPor
      @KalOrtPor Před 2 lety +1

      Generally no, these are compression fittings with a washer inside that makes the seal. Some plumbers put tape on the bottom threads only for a little extra safety margin, but any tape near the threaded end could interfere with the sealing and cause a leak.

  • @Ranger42
    @Ranger42 Před 2 lety +1

    A bit confusing because at the 0:50-1:10 you’re advising to hand tighten connector hose and then 1/4 turn more with wrench but towards the end (3:00), you’re advising to tighten 1 and 1/2 turn with wrench for the same type of connector hose.

    • @bsmith5709
      @bsmith5709 Před 2 lety

      No it’s not recommended it’s is best to put a tee in the actual pipe inside the wall. That’s if it is 3/4 inch pipe. If you add a shower to a 1/2 line that’s already hooked to a tub you would not have adequate pressure or volume to your shower. This is coming from a plumber with nine years experience. I would recommend calling a professional that way you know it’s done correctly and most companies have at least a one year warranty. If you have any questions for me please feel free to ask. God bless
