Your mixtures for sepia, browns and blacks is taped to the bottom of my color wheel on the wall above my easel. Thanks for the great guides. As always, a helpful lesson.
Another great painting, Mr Evans! I first started to watch and follow you on Tyne Tees TV many years ago and was amazed at your skill with a brush......I'm still amazed. Many thanks for the years of enjoyment!
Hi Charles. Great to see you again. I love this painting, it’s beautiful. I’ll definitely have a go at this one. Very best wishes to you and Gail. - Dawn 🌅
Hello I am so sorry if this sounds weirds but you wrote such a nice and wonderful comment on here and I like your comment. I can tell you're a very positive person. If it's okay with you I'd love to be friends.
Another good one, thank you Charlie and Gail. I finally wrote down the tip about raw umber and blue and taped it to my easel. Always seem to forget the colors in the heat of the moment when the need for sepia arises.
I have learned more tonight watching your landscape develop and listening to your ways of mixing colours than I have learned in all my you tube years of watching and learning. ( Sixteen years 😊.) Thanx a million. The years are flying bey now and I must hurry and paint, and paint, and paint. Good luck with your endeavour on you tube.
Thank you for your tutorials. The paintings are beautiful and you have fun! This helps me take a much lighter approach to my painting. All the best from the West Coast US.

Hi Charles, Really enjoyed watching this Beach scene watercolour painting. Actually, it’s always good to be reminded how you create the rocks in the foreground using your “Room Key card” …a classic from your Tips and Techniques - it’s so effective. Best regards, Wayne 😀👍
J’aime bien votre palette ! Merci pour cette vidéo très éducative. Magnifique aquarelle commentée. Et félicitation à la personne qui filme. Merci (de France)

Gosh! It's ages since I watched you creating a great work of art. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. The technique with the rocks was superb and quite unexpected. I liked hearing about the Hooker's Green history and colour variations made from adding the other 7. Was the sky deliberately done to make it look like rain clouds in the distance?
Hi Charles I enjoyed your tutorial very much indeed. I also like your..digital art, grasss or grass, twiddley bits etc.... Entertainingly first class. Thank you
I have watched everyone of your videos and wish I could paint like you! I try but they don't turn out anything like yours. I guess I'll just have to keep practicing. Thank you for the time you take to make your videos
Fabulous Charles I am learning so much from your videos , I did your cottage scene if I hadn't watched your video it would not have been half as good , it's not great but I was pleased as a beginner on the outcome especially the rocks 😀
Love your paintings and videos. They are beautiful and extremely helpful . I missed what color you mix for he sand color could you please get back to me on this. Thanks, Mary Lee
Hi- huge fan. Question: trying to play with watercolor pencils, try to follow your videos. Result= mud🤷♀️. I also stink at drawing…… any advice? LOVE your teaching approach, one day going to make it to one of your holidays!
Goodmorning Charles 😊 Agian i have another question..Do you use always fresh paint or let it dry and activated with water beforse you start and 2nd question is your pallette made if plastic?? Because plastic pallets sometimes i find them difficult to hold water in them they like suck the water into the material
I walked out of a Zoom meeting when I got annoyed with a daft remark from one of the participants. Not the most dramatic of gestures when the only place to go is the kitchen.... Good to see you again, but I find it too damn' hot to paint at the moment - that and the flies settling on my paper... but there we are. Do you always do a drawing, or sometimes go straight in with the brush?
È stupendo 👏👏👏... buongiorno Charles secondo lei il pennello da 3/4 è meglio acquafine oppure il Princeton Neptune?che ti ho visto usare? grazie infinite maestro 🙏🙏🙏
Hi Charlie I would like to ask you a favour. Would it would be possible for you to do an acrylic demo. One of the paintings from your boats & harbours book as I would love to see how you paint the water.
@@charlesevans7706 Thank you for your reply Charlie. I am currently going back through all your videos and books. It is really inspiring I just need to stop dithering and start painting. Best wishes Damien.
Charles, How do you know what colours to put on the paper first before scraping with the card? What colours would be used for something like the red rock cliffs along the Filey Brigg on the east coast? Many thanks
I’ve learned more from you than any of my teachers! You are very clear and direct re color mixing etc, no fluff! Thanks so much!
Thank you so much.
Finally figured out why I can't paint as well as you do, Charles! My palette is much too clean!! 😁
Ahahaha.
Delightful tutorial! 😎🎉🥰

I love your art attitude!
You live in such a beautiful place on Earth.
What is your advice on working from a photo?
Don’t be too precise about the photograph. Make it your own picture, not a replica!
@@charlesevans7706 Thanks for answering back so quickly.

Yes, it’s in a tube called Sand. You can get it on my eshop.
Very good the painting
Thank you.
Hi- huge fan. Question: trying to play with watercolor pencils, try to follow your videos. Result= mud🤷♀️. I also stink at drawing…… any advice? LOVE your teaching approach, one day going to make it to one of your holidays!
Thank you so much. To avoid mud, avoid putting too many colours on top of each other.
Beautiful...
Love your Painting. What brush are you using?
Goodmorning Charles 😊
Agian i have another question..Do you use always fresh paint or let it dry and activated with water beforse you start and 2nd question is your pallette made if plastic?? Because plastic pallets sometimes i find them difficult to hold water in them they like suck the water into the material
No my palette is metal. And I only top up the paint when it’s run out.
Thank you for drawing so we can see it! Not all do this and I have to turn them off.
I can’t understand why they do that!
Wonderful, thank you
You’re very welcome.
Thanks!
Beautifully done

Hi, it’s always a matter of when I have the time! If you look at the acrylics demos that are there, I’m sure there are a few with water.

I would be using yellow ochre and light red for those cliffs.

Great paintings. Your palette is hard to read colors though.
Thank you 😊

Great demo, very explanatory. Loved the result. But if I may, the glare on your painting surface was almost unbearable.
