I would be cleaning the brush off in the hedge, perhaps the field, here there and everywhere.

I really like how you teach with pencils. Just got back into water coloring again and it is easier sketching it in pencils and then paint later!

For acrylics i find the raw umber far too useful to pass up.

Working out the odd bit of the roof to start with is a pretty good idea.

I have litterally hundreds of books but always come back to yours, you just make things so simple and straight forward! One question though, how on earth do you stop the paper buckling with so much water on the sky?? Thanks for your inspiration!

Love this, Charles! I have some watercolour pencils but haven’t really used them as wasn’t sure how to. You’ve shown me how, and it’s just like coloured pencils, except for the water! Plus the scratchy scratch! If I hear that sound I know I’m doing it correctly!
