Most of these properties are owned by Europeans not even white South Africans hence its been priced outside of what most locals can afford. And FYI i don't live in Benoni i live in Pretoria and as of Gauteng in general we do have beutiful home like Cape Town we just don't have the scenery and our homes are not as over priced.

Hello from Canada. What do all of these neighbourhoods have in common? The answer may surprise you. It is "order". It is in human nature to be drawn to settlements that are cared-for, in the sense of being clean and aesthetic. Fortunately for the 99.9% of us humans who cannot afford the neighbourhoods that you have shared, we can create improved neighbourhoods in our own midst. All that is required is the will. The accessories to beauty do not cost so much - paint, a broom, some plants, nicely organized belongings, basic repairs, etc. To a surprising extent, this visual appeal is available to the "masses", if we would simply care for our own settings with greater attention to such considerations.

There's widely shared misguided narrative that most black South Africans do not command the material wealth in SA & are excluded from the mainstream economic participation. Although,to a large extent that is factual, the economic development gap is gradually being bridged. South Africa may be regarded as the most unequal country in the world, when it comes to racial wealth distribution its structural inequality does not equal abject poverty. Rather it is a representation of the disproportionate wealth gap between the underprivileged & the elites.

South Africa is also, the closest in relation to America because of the diversity and WS that unfortunately still goes on in SA. U see, I truly understand why he needed to bring up Black ownership. For starters,i assume you have thoroughly watched the video & are acutely aware that Cape town is a lily-white city, hence the upmarket housing ownership is predomlinantly owned by white South African elites while the majority of the black people in that city are excluded through class & racial discrimination. Henceforth,i emphasized the need for an inclusive coverage when it comes to property ownership in SA & the persisting historical dynamics which are determining factors. It is an undisputed fact they are 100% black owned housing all over SA. Black people in the mostly rural, under-developed & under-serviced own a vast land but they lack capital for infrastructural development in order to commercialise the land. My mentioning of the Limpopo province was mainly based on the remarkable rapid growth of how the communities transformed the rural settings to rival or supersede some areas in the urban cities. Your disapproval of my viewpoints has no substantial input, just an unprovocked emotional bickering, you even mentioned that you're from Tzaneen as if that insulated your lack of logic. Fantastic video! I have been to more than 40 countries on all continents, and Cape Town and around is possibly the most beautiful place I have ever seen. It does look and feel like a dream. The downside of South Africa, unfortunately, remains safety and a country that overall is quite dysfunctional. There is a reason Hout Bay is relatively cheap: it's next to a pretty sketchy neighborhood. Stellenbosch is wonderful, but I got a bit of a scary experience there. This is the main catch. However, most of the places shown in this video are very safe (but every house has pretty heavy protection, alarm systems and private security).
