In Dubai, it is a crime to fall behind on your bills/car payments. People abandon their cars instead of getting locked up. Most of the cars you see are damaged in some way; for them, better to ditch the car than to face criminal liability proceedings.

I know I am in a very small minority but Dubai is not on my bucket list. My Father remembers being a soldier stationed out in Dubai in the late 1950s and said that was literally NOTHING there then. For me, it has no appeal.
I don't understand your comment at all because yes there was literally nothing there in 1950s when it was still kinda part of Britain, it was not until the 1970s the groundwork for modern Dubai even began. It is like saying I have no interest in coming to America, my ancestors were there in the 1600s and there was nothing but woods.

In one case, a young woman was brought back home after a stay in the hospital. Her parents managed to collect money, so that they could take her home. It was covered by various media. The parents also sent out a message of warning to all, who might be watching:" Do not seek a job in Dubai..."

Anybody else noticed the shark with the open mouth? It was wide open in all shots, even while the shark was just chilling. Did they manipulate it so people would easily see its teeth?
Most sharks breathe by having their mouth open while swimming.
Water in through the mouth, their body takes in the oxygen, then exhaled out through the gills. They have to be continuously moving with their mouth open to breathe.
There are some exceptions, like the nurse shark, can be still, rest on the floor of the ocean, and rotate (open and close) their gills to breathe.
Most of the time sharks can chew with their mouth open while moving so they can breathe.
I highly doubt it was manipulated by people just because of the biology; but I don't doubt their motivation for wanting a mouth open shot for the film.

on the range rover and the pool it looks like that is the way to get into his garage he drives in and the platform raises out of the water giving him access to the garage on the other side and once he is in it goes back down that is one sure fire way to keep people from breaking in and stealing a car
