    #selfhealers, inner child communication is an important part of inner child work. Sit with the video, + if you are called to it, begin to practice. Share this with the people you love. The more openness + communication we have around this, the more we heal as a collective. As always, I appreciate all of you so much -Nicole

    This came at the perfect moment for me. I'm in touch with my inner child,I love her and am reparenting her with so much loving kindness, she's able to open up to trusted people now. Its the allowing the listener space part I'm struggling with. My inner child is so desperate to be heard, she finds giving space to process and respond really difficult. To her, it feels like she's been ignored. Again. I am so thankful to you for teaching me to practise patience and to listen♥️

    lots arises in me
    as I watch this video.
    mainly this:
    I'm falling,
    again, for another
    unavailable person...
    because the illusion and fantasy and escape
    of this person, is all I've got...
    so I let myself fall.
    let myself get attached.
    because I'm old now,
    and the deepest shame and agony
    of my life, is that I've never-ever been
    in an intimate-romantic relationship...
    and the reality of this anguishes me, consumes me.
    fills me with: grief, shame, rage, longing, loneliness, despair,
    wanting, needing, desperation...
    so I cling, achingly, to anyone
    that shows me: any attention...

    This could not have been shared at an absolute more perfect time for me today. I’m not normally open to share but I had my first conversation with my mum regarding our estranged past today. I only recently started a relationship moving in with her and the family since being independent from 14 and I feel I did exactly as you have presented, it was emotional but healing for me and her to even be able to discuss and listen and both feel safe as I have always struggled to actually be open out of fear how people would process my perception always putting theirs above my own in past. I have been sharing my knowledge gained with you with her lately to help her understand my journey prior too. Having just written about it in my journal I can’t even explain how hard I have related and the fact this was your topic for today I’m shook haha.

From the mouth of a legitimate psychologist herself. My inner child always talks her shit, but when she get too disrespectful critic (daddy) be stepping in. Higher self guides her truth, and I just let her be. Inner kids, Gon be kids. It takes a village to properly raise a child

    I love that your videos are easy to follow and understand. As an Empath traumatized emotionally for most of my life. My childhood madness almost lost my soul. I intake a lot of psychological and spiritual information as a way to survive it all. Having to be my own psychologist for years by reading and writing what my experiences felt like. I'm in my early 40's now and wonder why I still feel stuck in lostness . I know I did the right things and I'm still doing more right things. I guess that's why I just inspired myself, thanks to you Nicole. It can take many years to heal, and the sooner I understand and except that, the less of my life I'll waste. Egotistical people and the emotional vampires around me ... I except that it hurts my heart like hell and I except that I will still not stoop to their level. I except that there are cruel people in the world and then there are good people. Trying ones best and being their true selves and doing the right thing.

Last yr I went through a powerful spiritual awakening after I unearthed what I consider the pit, the core of my issues which was being sexually molested at age 5 and 6. Once I spoke that out loud, I have been completely transformed. Trusting my family in a way I never have. Healing old wounds and self forgiveness. That part is huge. It's a cyclical process which I know will continue forever. I see life so differently now and yes, we must stay in touch with those little girls inside of us. Im curious. Why not just say I am feeling? Using the term "my inner child is feeling" kind of makes me feel like I am trying to disassociate, whereas saying I AM is taking responsibility for myself entirely.

    • @amandarichmond3386
      @amandarichmond3386 Před 4 lety +10

      your inner child needs to feel heard, loved, safe in order to start healing from the trauma. You need to connect with that little girl/boy inside of you in order to move forward. Disassociation comes from that little child creating a reality where they are free from the suffering or pain. because he/she didnt learn how to process those emotions before the disassociation came the brain does the only thing it knows how to at that point, fight or flight. So what you’re essentially doing is Soothing and Reparenting that inner child.

    • @KellyKristin

      Amanda Richmond i am coming from the point of view that my inner child is me, a part of me. If I say “my inner child feels” i am not acknowledging my whole self that feels it. Yes it may be an inner child wound, but it is I who is experiencing it. Why would I say my inner child is feeling and (separate) that out like it isn’t me. Its all me, when I am seen and heard my inner child is seen and heard

    • @kimbaka4364
      @kimbaka4364 Před 4 lety +3

      My view is yes, it’s you as a whole, but these feelings of pain are not you and they can be healed. For that reason your inner child is separate and needs to be healed so you don’t continue to be feel pain from triggers.

What if they are so negative that they just end up cursing and whatever even simply from asking them a qn like - what are you watching?
    I've been crying for such a long time and doing my best to ask the people around me to respect and honour my inner child while honoring theirs. But my family still reject it all and still continue to hurt me non stop. It's like I can never ever progress with them. Like I can never ever be safe or held by them, ever. I can do that for them but they can never ever do that for me. And I've been doing it since I was 15. I'm already 22 and they are still abusive and hurtful automatically reacting all the time!

And I don't blame him 😢 So as long as I can remember I've always been the person in the conversation that has to interrupt the other person bc I'm afraid if I don't I won't remember what I was going to say! And when I do practice active listening I get so consumed with remembering my thoughts for later that I'm still not being a very good active listener! It's horrible and I need help because I don't know what to do about it. I'm try writing things down as I'm listening but I still texting my focus off of the person talking and I don't want to seem rude and sometimes I don't get it. All of what I want to say that on paper before I forget cuz I'm trying to listen to the person talking at the same time! I really love my ex And I really want to do this for him and for myself definitely for myself so that I can have better communication and be a better active voicemail and give people my other body attention. I don't know why I do this. I don't know where it's coming from but it's a problem! The big problem n and I just want to try to fix this after 8 years of dealing with each other! *I'm actually having an anxiety attack right at this very moment. I want out of this body, this mind, this life--i want to egress time or completely just cease to exist in this skin. I can't stop wanting to shake this stagnant and guilt-ridden energy but I feel trapped.*

      Wherever you are, get up and shake your body like crazy. Really feel it!

      theFitty Sending you love. I hope you are ok. Panic attacks are really intense and scary. Know it won’t last forever. Counselling/therapy is important, but I recommend trying breathwork this week to see if that can help release the emotions that might be stuck under the anxiety/panic. Not a therapist, just have found it to really help me with my anxiety and trauma. I recommend this course (not affiliated, just love it) www.onecommune.com/ecstatic-breathwork-with-scott-schwenk

      Calm your mind, unblock your energy, get connected with your true potential and selflove, start to heal ..by doing Qigong....that's some amazing energy work. Praying for you, sending love and light

      theFitty reach out to someone who can listen to your anxiety without judgement and without trying to fix anything. Just be there with you and listen. That is the only thing (a part from medication) that helps me when I have anxiety attacks.

    Does anyone else get inner child issues coming up when operating a car? Seems like I developed problems with navigation earlier in my childhood

    I kind of wish I knew this year's ago it could be so helpful in relationships. When you is involved sometimes the person thinks they're being blamed.

    I have a ex who I love her much. She's blocked me and won't talk to me. I know she has a lot of problems with her inner child but don't know it. I so wish I could help her.

      It's not your job to help her. Focus on your own issues. For example, why are you attracted to people like her?

    I have a question :-) What if I do use this format precisely, and STILL my dialogue partner feels attacked and perceives every such discussion as an accusation? Even if the words "you did..." don't even come out of my mouth?

      That is serious to hear...can you go deeper and find out why your inner child died...( as an escape, protection, out of despair , neglect, fear?). Can you go to that point of time where your inner child needed help and give it skillfully? Say and do exactly what you would do in a very loving, compassionate way to a child you deeply care about...what would have turned things around and make it better...hear these words, feel the needed hug and comfort ..and begin to heal...

      If that's how you feel, you really should seek professional help.
