    They're GSXR 600/750 K4/K5 forks. The calipers came with the new forks. You can use the original Bandit wheel, but need to fit different size bearings and get new spacers and bearing tube machined up.

    Stunning bike, only thing I would change is the height of the front lamp. I like the top of the glass to sit at tank height. But hey, your bike, your rulz. Nice one!!!

    @froudster  Před 12 lety

    Cutting, welding and a bit of grinding and on it went Dave ;-)
    The bike got written off at the beginning of June so I had to do it all over again :-(
    It's now back on the road, bigger, better, orange and black !!!

    Obey Amkal & Shelly...It's a standard Suzuki colour...It's Candy Dark Brown Umber Code Y7F.
    You'll have a hell of a job to get it to match though. I ended up getting half litre and repainting the whole bike!!

    Sounds nice and a new headlight fairing.

  • @froudster
    @froudster  Před 12 lety

    It's a 1999 model. I got the clutch cover done as a one off by the engineering dept where I work!!

  • @froudster
    @froudster  Před 12 lety

    As used on Ghostriders turbo Busa.
    Derbi Senda SM Extreme 50....Best of luck finding one mate...Like hens teeth!

  • @froudster
    @froudster  Před 13 lety

    Just finished fitting a new engine and this is it's first startup. Sounds a lot quieter than the one I took out : )
    Just noticed...I must sort the gear indicator as it jumped to 1 when I revved it up and it was in neutral.

  • @froudster
    @froudster  Před 12 lety

    The clocks I've fitted are from a GSXR600 which go to 15K RPM. As you already know a B12 does not rev to 15K!!!
    Bandit 12 motors are usually in a black/grey colour. I coated this one with PJ1 Satin Black engine paint.

    I can't get stuff like this done any more Josh :( Pick yourself up a copy of Streetfighters Magazine as there are plenty of companies in there that will do one for you.

    what the piss why does your tach go to 15k! also did you coat the motor? or does it come all black. I just got my bandit, I love it but I can feel the big 1200 motor is just begging me to let it loose with some de-restriction mods.

      @froudster  Před 7 lety

      Hi Sean.
      Its a full seat unit and sub frame from a 2003 Yamaha R1. NOT easy to fit. The frame has to be cut and welded. The original Bandit is 1999..A Mk1.

    • @seansnyder2734

      +Steve Froud OK cool thank you definitely looks worth the work

    For those that don't know..On Thursday night 04/06/11 a car driver decided to pull out of a layby and do a U turn in front of me. I had nowhere to go apart from to plant my front wheel in her wheel arch. I landed somewhere on the other side of the car. The bike is a write off as the frame is bent and cracked in places :(
    I was lucky to survive without any life threatening injuries although I am verrrrrrrry sore and have an enormously swollen right b*llock!!
    She will live again soon.

    how much did your oil pressure drop with the headoiling?

    • @froudster
      @froudster  Před 5 lety

      It didn't drop at all as the lines do nothing. They are purely cosmetic.
