I have just been through the konfigurator fur copra Deutschland. A Cupra ST R in the config I like costs 52k euros. Then I went to configurator fur Volkswagen Golf R variant, the vehicle is the same price incl. R performance pack and active chassis control... Which one would you pick? They seem to be the same car for the same price, but is the Cupra made from the same quality components? Is the AWD as good as 4motion? Is it the same quality mechanically as a VW? Will it last as long as a Golf R? Please give advice.

The Seat Leon Cupra R ST looks really nice! I would gladly drive it on the swiss mountain passes (summer)!!
Absolutely Love the look of this Cupra R ST with the black and bronze colour scheme. Despite it coming to the end of its life cycle, it still looks fresh in my eyes and I especially love how the number plate spells 'dare' as if it was daring Thomas to drive it. It definitely fits the look of the car. I'd have the hatchback version in the same colour scheme. Had to watch this one on both channels.
The Great White North misses out on quite a few gems from European auto industry so it's a real pleasure to watch your videos. Great work man!

Black and copper looks fantastic. There are no Seat dealers here so I'm not likely to ever see one on the street but its good to know manufacturers are still putting out good looking cars
Of all the cars currently on sale throughout the world, the one I am most upset is not being sold in America is the Leon Cupra. I saw them everywhere in Spain last year, and it was like a dream come to life.

Once, not so long ago, me and my friend (BMW 320i) were driving on A6 autobahn. The conversation is as follows: me: oh wow it's cupra. My friend : it's Seat :-). But I had to differ after this review.
Wish SEAT /Cupra were available in the US.

Ich hab mir dein Video ausführlich angeschaut und find den Wagen einfach nur schick. Bin am überlegen mir den zu holen. Zurzeit fahre ich noch einen Mercedes A250 Sport AMG. Der auch schon einen tollen Klang mit der AMG Abgasanlage hat. Würdest du sagen das der Cupra lauter ist? Oder eher leiser? Im Video kommt meist sowas ja nicht sogut rüber.

I miss the recessed handles for the back doors that were in the mk 2. A nice car but not an answer to the Audi RS range. I suppose the conflict of interest is there being that they are made by the same manufacturer

It’s amazing that VW can take a golf and repackage it for Seat and Skoda.
I love the black with copper accents. looks amazing. Still cant decide between the golf R kombi and the cupra.
It was easy for me, Golf R is easily €10-12k more than a Cupra where I live

@@KernelOkey yeah, but they also have slightly better tech, more power, look better, and have better interiors/ cabin noise. The price is a little closer on the used market. Of course the Cupra has brembos and a better sounding exhaust..
I think Cupra looks alot better, only thing Golf has is better interior quality imo. Power is the same again after WLTP
@@KernelOkey I guess that's where personal taste comes in. I'm not quite as keen on the looks of the seat. I guess it doesn't help that there are 4 cupras on my block.
I bought a magnetic grey one : ) Cant wait to unleash it 👹🤩🏁.
Its easily as good as the R golf variant if not better

So what I've written my friend who already asked: the video is also clearly balanced and the message from the text indicates something like "I wanna love you Germany but at the same time I hate you because so much shit has happened" showing some key stuff from history (roman attacking germania magna, empire gets fucked by forest people resistance, DDR, nazi enslavement etc.) so actually the message of the video is quite clever/elaborated and not that provoking at all as some others find as it is clearly _against_ nazi stuff etc.

So..in summary, essentially a re badged golf R in hatch or estate, but not as nice, just cheaper with some terrible colour choices to differentiate it from a normal cupra 🤷🏼♂️ i don’t get where it sits even?
Hello. Actually that trunk floor goes down about 12-13cm so you could load quite large things in there. I'm sure you know that but it wasnt on the video. According to Seat that boot is up to 567 litres so it is good sized. I can't wait for the new generation of Seat Leon! Do you have any insight when it will be launched?

Maybe not. Obviously it was announced at some point that there will be the option with the facelift in 2017/2018 but it seems they didnt implement it

Yes, of course the Seat logo is much better than the Cupra logo (which must be one of the worst in the car industry), but the copper colour destroy them both. As long as Seat insist on that copper stuff, without options available, that in itself is enough to not make me buy any Cupra model.
