Just a reminder to everyone out there that you should always take Guitar World demos with a huge grain of salt. They almost always make gear sound way worse than it actually is. Not saying these pedals are anything special, but they most definitely are better than the garbage sound presented in this video.

are you fucking kidding me what's wrong with this guy's demos? he is pretty thorough with them considering how long the videos are. man this guy gives some of the best demonstrations how could anyone think any less or differently?!?
Steven Apexresidual I'm not talking about Paul. I'm talking about Guitar World's ability to sound produce, somewhere along the chain from micing up to bringing audio to our ears, they almost always make equipment sound terrible, regardless of the quality of the equipment they're demoing.

You could at least make sure your guitar is in tune. That beginning especially was painful.
Sooo, he added compression to the TS-808, Bass & Treble instead of a Tone knob to the OCD, and a HI-LO switch to the Xotic RC (&/or AC) Booster. Bravo, Kirk..............
oh, and for absolutely STUPID prices...well done.
Then he makes it all go MICRO PHONIC! Voltage is unique! But everyone can turn on the pedal, so they can't just use their custom equipment. Tell the idiots to GET RID OF THE FENDER AMPS! Get rid of the boostie squeemers! Force them to use their custom built amps and not add in some other BS product! We're sick of all this costly product insanity! We're going off to other hobbies right now! If this crap doesn't stop, were NEVER COMMING BACK to buy electric guitar product! Metallica can make a dollar out of this music thing, but WE CAN'T! The jokes over music industry! We've stopped buying!

Dunno, that ghoul screamer seemed to have some nice fuzz sounds. Maybe good as a grunge/stoner rock pedal more than a metal pedal?
One of the settings on the Ghoul Screamer sounds fuzzy on the bass.

Darkserpentes everyone throws a lot of shade at Kirk for his use of wah, but he really doesn't use it more than Zakk Wylde or Jerry Cantrell.

zack flint 'cause some of them are demos which are not meant for promotion. They're just "trying out." probably Guitar World is possibly "promoting" the pedal so they want to avoid that kind of thing.
Probably wasn't played EXACTLY the same, on most reviews Paul changes a note or two so there are no copyright issues

jajajaaj, the pedal have a horrible sound, sound very rare, eat the tone of the guitar :s the switch eat more tone, on this video a great clean was destroyed by this pedal...
and for me the 3 pedals have equal result, the difference is the noobs and switch :S

Unbelievable. Not a single one of those pedals sound as good as a cheap $25 dollar Caline CP-18 BB preamp clone, and how much do they want for them? I guess Metallica's torn jeans, Colt 45 and fried chicken days are long gone. Now it's all about Giorgio Armani, French Sturgeon Caviar and Dom Perignon. Np wonder all of their original fans (mostly from the lower class) now hate their guts after they decided they needed to take a big shit on all of their old fans and replace them with pop loving privileged middle and upper class fans, because after all; that's where the REAL money is. Funny thing is ; Metallica have never been any more than about a C+ in the talent department.

Is it me or do these pedals sound like pure caca. Just sayin. Nothing beats a tube amp. How bout them ENGL amps. Natural overdrive and distortion of a tube amp always wins IMO.
I agree. These sound awful. Attenuate a tube amp if you need to overdrive it without blowing the windows out. If somebody wants distortion buy a distortion pedal!!

+dale ward Yup,just get an Ibanez Tube Screamer,its way cheaper and does the job.
+dale ward if you intend to use it as a source of distortion then I agree, it's no good. But used as a boost in front of a good tube amp then you got a really nice and versatile tool to shape your sound further (at least with the ghoul screamer, I haven't tried the other ones)
