We got used to seeing Linus and his staff with epic setups and excessive 7-star hardware, to the point when a $500 soundbar is "okay" to them, but since Riley hasn't owned one before he LOVES it!

It is sort of amazing seeing just what some of the LTT crew actually has at home when it comes to tech. You'd expect that everyone working at LTT (a technology channel which deals with high end computers an the like) to have a baller setup at home as well. Then you see stuff like this.

Riley is so damn intelligently funny, and knows exactly how to fill up dead spots with snappy dialogue that one can't tell if he's joking or not. I don't know how Linus does it, but damn, he's recruited such a perfect team to precisely express his vision in every aspect, all the way down to the humor accurately relating to true tech-heads.
Linus may drop many objects, but definitely know how to pick up subjects.

This is my favorite one; I like Riley´s style.
And I like his approach to the Tech Upgrade; It´s clean, elegant, has style, it´s functional and it´s humble in the sense that it´s not trying to over kill it just because.

You can tell Riley is a new parent with how he set up the piano, because a seasoned veteran would know to *never* have anything expensive that low to the ground and accessible. XD

Even though i am Single and never been in any relationship for as long as i lived (going to be 34 years old soon), i knew that the idea of putting it that low was bad, because it could either accidentally hit someone (i mean its small and compact, but its still slightly bulky), and he had a child now.

I have the same piano and it is actually not too expensive compared to other digital pianos, it was around 600 USD, which is still not something you want ruined, but you can live with damage for sure.

By far, this is the best episode of the whole series!
Riley's attitude about his tech is SOOOOOO refreshing. He demonstrated that it is perfectly acceptable to not have "top of the line" everything to enjoy and appreciate things. Sure, none of it is cheap, but it's actually effectively and efficiently set up and installed. Bravo!
Minimalism at it's finest, well balanced without compromising anything and getting what you need with a little extra. This is the lifestyle I want to adopt eventually when I move out next year, Riley is now my new favorite LTT member.
I love that we even sourced some used equipment. Minimalist isn’t just good on the eye, it’s also good for the wallet and the environment.

Michael Malenchek yeah, that's true, but we all (eventually) produce waste from upgrades. I’m not saying it was a perfect example, but at least there was some re-use involved in the project. Also, he could still sell or donate his old gear, I know I would.

Minimalism is not about having less things but having only things that you like and need. The other is anti materialism where you live like Diogenes. However I feel that all these types of lifestyles are given names so people can justify their choices.
I have very little stuff at home because I am too lazy to clean but saying I am a minimalist just sounds cooler.

10:44 BitFenix Merc Alpha is the case I'm still currently sporting as my main rig's case. It was cheap, and it's definitely not the best, but the Alpha has a lot of fan case fan spots, 2 front fan, 1 bottom fan, 2 top fan and 1 back fan, and imo the airflow is just fine with 4-6 fans. I used to have my FX8350 system in it, but now it has a Ryzen 5 5600X system

Honestly, for me, this is the most genuine reaction of upgrades in all of ltt's videos as he's bragging and quite desperate that he plays at work. It's as if he doesn't build pcs or even see high end pcs often that he's so happy with what he has.
