Relaxing voice and very nice video quality. Thank you. I wondered what those metal squares look like in real life. Also, I like the detailed review of the colors and the ideas for mixing and matching.
Love these type of videos. You make it seem like we are just talking watches and messing through and fiddling with our watches. Watching this as I re adjust the bracelets on my all metal homages to these Gs. Very enjoyable, thank you.
What a great video. Comparing them side by side and in regular indoor light, I really do have a much better sense of what it would be like to own one. I also wondered why the AliExpress kits come in brushed links and polished watch body, not realizing that that's what Casio does as well.
I’ve got the gold medal version and I like it but it does stand out a bit more than I like. Somehow it has the smoothest caseback which makes it very comfortable.
I'm eyeing for steel bezel, resin straps. The GMW-B5000G-2 Does the colour blue on steel bezel fade easily on long run? What if u accidentally scratch it on a hard surface like concrete, will it reveal the steel color grey color on it?
Great video! You have all of my favorites, which is not surprising, since you seem to have all of them. I got the Tokyo twilight 5600 but would rather have this one of course! I love my “Batman,“ with the blue metal square head and black strap, though I don’t like the way the IP coating looks as it gets banged up (which happened after wearing it for several months straight), which has stopped me from buying any of the more expensive ones. when you have as many as you do, that will probably never happen! Great collection!!
That's true. Not only am I unable to give any one of them enough wrist time, but I am very gentle on my watches and usually only wear them around the house. If I run errands or something, I wear my 5610BA on a v1 combi, and if I'm doing any "dirty" work or lawn stuff, I wear my inexpensive Casio "not a square." But, the good news is that it leaves all of my watches in nearly mint condition, which my OCD appreciates. hahaha
I'd like to see a Titanium Gold with some writing on it like the Titanium Square Face "Virtual Armor" GMW-B5000TVA-1DR That would be awesome. Thanks for sharing 😊
That would be pretty neat. I suspect we'll see G-Shock put out a few more like that, based on the popularity of the virtual armor one and of the new MRG squares.
Love the idea of collecting metal G... but I frankly have poor eyesight so blackout/negative displays, and wouldn't you know it, like %99 of the series are like that, alixpress it is then! Thanks for showing your collection and your thoughts on future plans by gshock!
Casio is the only brand offering watches for every taste, every age, it has become part of pop culture and a cult brand. I love the new Casio Oak with Bluetooth and a tough Solar!,
@@expomm There is an alternative that Seiko has for all those things you listed. You can like Casio, but Seiko obviously has a more diverse portfolio of range of watches. That really is not debatable. Just mentioning, as you were mentioning brands that offer something for everyone
@@expomm Lol I mean come on, Seiko was founded in like 1881, built the first quarts watch, first solar powered watch and first kinetic powered quarts watch. This is only on the quarts side of Seiko, they have a lot of history with mechanical watches. You would not have Casio with out Seiko. Seiko has dirt cheap watches all the way up to hundreds of thousands of dollars on certain Grand Seiko's. Casio does not even have a single mechanical watch. This has nothing to do which one is "better" that is all up to the eye of the beholder. But if you are talking about watch brands that have sheer diversity and offering every possible watch varying in technology and price, Seiko/ GS has that in spades!
I'm curious to see the TVA mod replacement band, bezel plus glass set that is popping up on the net. Is it justified to wear? I really like that design
Thanks for the informative review.. i just bought yesterday the 50% off MATTBLACK.. but its not part of your collection.. anyway maybe this is just additional to the gmw. Thanks.
have a GMW-B5000RD-4, beautiful burgundy color. I like the blue GMW-B5000G, but it doesn't come with a blue metal bracelet. Why? That doesn't make sense. I do like the Tokyo Twighlight, GMW-B5000PB-6, very hard to find though, one I'd like to get is the GMW-B5000GD-4. I have GW-5000-U-JF-1 on the way, this will be my everyday wearer.
I'm with you on that. I love that shade of blue. I may be wrong, but I suspect we'll someday see a new titanium one with the blue used on the "spare parts bin" one, which will be nice but it's not the same shade of blue as the blue camo one or the SS blue one.
I have the red metal square and love it, only problem is how easily it scratches, each time I see a new scratch I get a new scratch on my soul -_-. I’m thinking of getting the multi finish black once it releases in the USA. That blue and that matte black mod look great tho I’d get them for GW U models. I also have the limited edition I think it was city night square? The orange/purple one (display is pretty bad irl) but I think for the prices for those squares you get less value.
Sweet! And, yeah, my OCD doesn't love the scratches either. In fact, I got my red one second-hand and it was scratched, but the previous owner was nice enough to order a replacement OEM bezel from pacparts to include in the sale. I haven't swapped them out yet, but that'll give me an extra to play around and mod with.
@@HorologyinSanity i think ive buffed out a few scratches by using toothpaste and like 6 q tips, scrubbing and buffing for about an hour and a half hopefully the scratches wont show up later on. If i had the silver or even the black square i wouldnt mind the scratches so much but this red one i wanna keep nice.
Yep, definitely a bit loud. But, that's partly why I enjoy them. Different strokes for different folks, I guess, which is one of the best parts about this great hobby of ours.
yep, it's dark and kinda soothing to the eye. I wish the OEM blue one came on a bracelet instead of on the black rubber strap. I'll end up fixing that one day with a mod though.
I had a Raysman DW-9350MSJ-2T, great watch until the resin band and bezel crumbled away. I still have the 1584 module, the screws and the buckle. Resin doesn't like being used. Now I have a metal square and I'm loathe to use it because it will get scratched.

Excellent video as always.
Thank you sir! All possible because of your kindness.
Love the G-Shock squares have a titanium square very happy with it .
Stealth wealth nobody's going to stab you for it
Great video 📹
i love your square collection, especially the aliexpress mod pairings. my fav is the iced out one with mirror face - nicely done

Your flexing that Tokyo g shock very hard 💪🏽
Great collection Josh! My favourite is the Ironman too, love the colours. 🏆
💯

The gold is one of my favorites, but I agree about it standing out a bit. My wife hates it! I adore it. hahahaha
Hey Josh these look awesome but I don’t have a very big wrist at 6.25 inches do they make these in any smaller sizes

Seiko! Well that is if you lump Grand Seiko in with the brand.

why not, go for it, theyre not making anymore TVAs
you are right, btw I m loyal to Casio/G-Shock watches and them cranking up the price on exclusives releases feels like being backstabbed too haha

I wish they'd done a version of the GMW-B50000TCF-2, but just the blue without the camo on it. I would have purchased one immediately. 😅

Interestingly, I have never met a person who wears G-Shock in real life. Looks like Casio creates watches to not wear but to collect :)
These are pretty wearable though. They're not really that big and they have great functionality.
literally half of the people i see out and about wear gshock
I think that it depends on the people you hang out. I have seen many police officers wearing resin g shock square.
everyone in my country wear gshock from cleaner to ceo
