    I can be washing the dishes, and with my bluetooth headphones listening to the rhythm of the feet hitting the ground even when I am looking away from the screen, and it makes me feel very calm, and also ready for my next run. Kudos to Alex, you're really doing a fantastic job!

      I was thinking the same. I find the sound caused by the strike of the feet on the ground absolutely pleasing.

    Just got back into running a year ago after a 3 year hiatus due to chronic injuries and I love watching these videos to see other runners and their training efforts. I find it quite the meditative experience as well.

    Right video at the right time. Just yesterday I was struggling if I shall run my repetitions with a full stop or a 400m gentle jog. I'll keep the "stay in motion" method😅
    Only exceptions: 15sec all-out efforts, hill repeats (30sec, than jog back slowly).

    I wander how many seconds per lap is the speed difference between a dirt track like we see here and a tartan track.

    • @bennettperry93
      @bennettperry93 Před 2 lety +3

      Run enough miles in your training before and all you’ll have to do is breathe through your mouth and nose in whatever way feels comfortable, don’t breathe too fast and just take your mind away from it

    • @lucky5609
      @lucky5609 Před 2 lety +1

      You don't need to focus on breathing for a 1600 run.

    I was wondering if someone could help me. I am a high school runner and my pb in the 5k is 19:03, which is 6:08 a mile or 3:48 a kilometer. I run around 8:00 minutes a mile or 5:00 minutes per kilometer on easy days and I have been running for 4 years and my heart rate gets up to 180+. What should I do?

      I would just tell you to ignore the Heart rate as it may be inaccurate and just do it based on feeling, you should be able to talk sentences during an easy run. i think you should slow down a bit to 5,15 to 5,20/K, hope this helps.
