Thats the point of drifting really; driving the car on the edge of its limits, but remaining in control throughout. Any idiot can throw the back of a car out, its having the skill to control it whilst doing so thats impressive! Still, I can see how its not appealing to everyone!
Burnouts and Dragraces are stupid and boring - any fool can do that. Real drifting is about rhythmic dancing on the edge, it's a completely different thing.

Sometimes drifting IS the fastest way to pass curve combinations. Hillclimb, rally, rallycross, etc...
Of course - this time it was just4fun. 8-)

The point was to entertain the crowds in front of the 24h event - just for the heck of it. Maybe you can call it a fringe event. ;-)

thats my meaning too, you can much better drift with japanese cars.. that are real hardcore drifts! but i like your hillclimb video :-)
