Here I upgrade the hardware on this Cort CR250, including the Ratio locking tuners and Resomax NVS bridge from Graph Tech, as well as the String Butler by Dietrich Parts. This is the third episode in a multi-part series where I unbox, demo, review, and modify this Cort CR250 in the new "Dark Blue Burst" finish. All music is original. Hope you enjoy!

I know nothing about guitars, what I do know is that I need more videos from you.

When it comes to guitars it is all about your tone, your guitar, your sound, your way to create your sound. Many low dollar guitars are built pretty good and some deserve special treatment. Customizing is a good thing.

Great video and very sweet looking guitar. You have to ignore people because most people are all hung up on logos and brand names.I'm a licensed locksmith and I can tell you with absolute certainty that logos and brand names do not always equate to top quality.I have bought expensive name brand lock tools which didn't thrill me where as I have bought low priced lock tools that totally shocked me with the quality and made me wish I had opted for the lower priced lock tools before I went and spent much more money that I could have used for other things. Thanks for the video,God bless you, your family and that beautiful dog that you have.

Nice. I just bought one like that the other day, in Antique Amber color. The guitar is sweet and the value exceeds it's price.

Good stuff! Often, guitar makers skimp the most on hardware, so replacing it will likely give you the greatest improvement in your axe. Better to spend less on a guitar and spend your money replacing hardware with the hardware you'd really rather have anyway. The worst is feeling stuck with expensive stuff you're not really into.

6:35 wait wait wait. you say the plates dont line up? well, the last plate you try to install you do it in the opposite direction than thee others. all others have the 2 holes at the top, you have the 2 holes at the bottom at the last plate

I think I've watch 1000 knock off guitar upgrades in the past 2 months.
I have a Epi. Studio (Bottom Feeder) cheapest LP guitar in the world.
    "No Binding".
I just got a Mind Boggling "Looking" Chinese LP Custom Copy with a brocaded off white Pearl looking cap (that is probably a photograph. This one HAS BINDING.
    THE THING THEY BOTH HAVE IN COMMON;
Skinny, tiny squeaky, thin, crumby, (probably some kind of white metal fabricated crappy FRETS).
Tuners work Good enough (both) nuts ok, the chinese custom LP truss rod twisted down tight but I can tune it to a machine at every fret.
Both the nuts are dressed out so that the guitars are IN Tune at THE FIRST FRET on all 6.
(something that a lot of u neglect, and rely on the 12th) if it aint in tune at the 1st fret, u will never get it in tune anywhere. (get your neck relief close to where u like it, the action, THEN PLUCK A STRING OPEN IN TUNE / then depress it at the 1st fret PROBABLY A MILE SHARP.
Thats why u can tune it to a machine dead on, play a C cord and puke! u gotta cut the nut slots very carefully until the note on the 1st fret is in tune. u owe me!
what the Cort Guitar needs more that all the crap, is some 6106 gauge SS frets. in canada with taxes 600 bones!!
THEN, U CAN DO THE ELECTRONICS, POTS SEYMOURS, SWITCHES, JACK PLUG
    ANOTHER 500.
PS; My fking youtube doesnt give me any comments and replies. pos, I cant find out why!!
    my email; pikejack777@gmail.com
    cheers

I set out to listen to a guitar with the Resomax upgrades and only one out of three videos (not this one) even bothered to briefly play the guitar after the upgrade. They hype the hardware for over 8 mins and then fail to provide a sample of the tone miracle that's supposed to follow. Frustrating.
