Rodman was one of the best defensemen of all time, rebounds and defense were part of his game but the other part was being an instigator and someone who could easily get under someone's skin and in their head and was good at getting them off their game mentally. You guys should look into his history he's had an interesting life.
He was a rebound machine.
The Worm!
Wesley Snipes was in Demolition man but it's still hilarious because the character Snipes plays is like an over-the-top version of Rodman.
Not to mention the yellow hair he had like Rodman
That was Snipes in "Demolition Man" . However, you're not crazy - Rodman was in a movie with Jean Claude called "Double Team". I had forgotten about it until you said something haha
Yeah I can see why he thought that since Westley Snipes had his hair dyed yellow like Rodman in Demolition Man
I laughed so hard when he said Demolition man. Obvious misunderstanding though. lol
@@tj5579 Rodman dyed his hair in homage to Westley Snipes character when he was traded to the spurs.
@@nimaside Oh ok I always thought that was Rodman who did it first since he was always on that weirdo shit
@@tj5579 a lot of people think Rodman had that cheetah print hair too, but in reality it was just a bunch of 33’s celebrating Pippen’s return. 🤣
Rodman was all def. He was brought on to Chicago to neutralize the opponents big man and try to agitate them, which was his specialty. He would hard foul while making it look like an easy foul, while on the opposite side of the court, taking normal fouls against him and act it up to make it look flagrant and this would usually piss off the other person and take them out of their element. Fun fact, he is the only player to ever keep Shaq at 0 points for a game. Although he was a huge asset to the Bulls he would never talk to MJ or Pippen other then a very occasional brief moment on the court. He was a perfect role player to help the Bulls as he took a ton of attention off Jordan and by simply being present he was enough of a distraction to open up the lane for Jordan when he needed it, and because he was almost entirely a defensive player he didn't take shots away from MJ and didn't need the ball. Not to mention he was kind of an enforcer type of player so people wouldn't usually go after Jordan for hard fouls or try and take him out of the game. Basically, his best quality was, that he acted like a lightning rod.
Rodman was THE craziest player to ever play in the NBA and one of the best defenders of all time
Rodman definitely isn’t the craziest. He’s the weirdest tho.
@@TheIcemanthomas I feel like artest was 'crazier'
“Nope it was Wesley Snipes…” 😂 Too funny
Rodman was a rebounding and defensive player. He could score but didn't focus on it.
He was a master at defense, rebounding and such. It because he was such a hustler, always attacking the ball. Offense was very secondary.
Steve Kerr said that being a shooter, he loved playing with him because he was always getting offensive rebounds and instead of going back up with it himself, he would kick it back out to shooters
One of the all time great defensive players. He wasn’t well liked, but that wasn’t why the Bulls had him.
i think he's more well liked than pippen now.
Rodman was known to be a freak athlete and insanely strong pound for pound. plus his work ethic was insane. he could handle anyone in the league at his prime. On top of that he could get in players heads easily
Not so Crazy FACT: Dennis Rodman dyed his hair AFTER watching Wesley Snipes' character in Demolition Man. He was playing for the San Antonio Spurs at the time.
PF/SF Rodman is 6'7" about 235-240 and C Shaq is 7'1" and 300+
Any points from Rodman was a bonus , he was doing the Hack a Shaq as O'Neil was a terrible free throw shooter. Rodman has led the league in rebounding .
5:05 Pippen slapping Kukoc's hand away from helping Shaq up
Rodman movies: "Double Team" with J-C Van Damme and "Simon Sez", as in "The game is not over until... Simon Sez."
Weslie Snipes had Rodman hair in Demolition Man. You are thinking of Double Team where he's on the cover with JCVD.
Rodman one of the greatest defensive players of all timw
All you really need to know about "The Worm" was he averaged 7.3 points a game for his career, but is still in the Hall of Fame. It is EXTREMELY rare when a player gets into the HoF based on his defense alone. He was that good defensively, on the boards, and a was GREAT outlet passer. More than that, he epitomizes the word "hustle" (he was the kind of guy that would recklessly dive for lose balls and put his body on the line time and time again to get his teammates the ball).
Also, I know Daz keeps saying he was a big guy, but he really wasn't. He was 6'7, maybe 6'8'', around 240 pounds give or take 10-20 pounds... a power forward who was just a couple of inches taller than your typical shooting guard, but he could guard all 5 positions (and not just in switches, he typically would guard the opposing team's best offensive player, regardless of the position they played) and still would frequently pull down 20+ rebounds a game. He was that size, in his 30's, and he still led the league in rebounds for 7 straight years when the league was full of dominant big men.
His incredible strength, positioning, and high basketball IQ made him a game changer on defense. Shaq considers Rodman one of the only players who could defend him in his prime, and if it isn't obvious by the video, Rodman was one of the few players strong enough to actually defend and foul Shaq hard enough that Shaq couldn't just dunk over him. NOBODY else could physically manhandle Shaq like that. It might not be obvious from the video, but Rodman was one of the few players who really got into Shaq's head and got him off of his game.
If you really want a taste of what Rodman was about, check out the video here on YT titled "Dennis Rodman's Lockdown Defensive Performances!"
Dave's admission and subsequent walkaway was absolutely epic. LMAO
We love you Dave 😂
Hey Office Blokes!
rodman was really strong he was moving shaq on some of those plays and giving up a ton of size
The 1st time I met Dennis Rodman was at a strip club in Miami at around 6am...he was standing outside smoking and wearing a leopard print robe and matching hat
The 2nd time I met Dennis Rodman was at that same strip club a few months later lol...nice guy from what I remember, though those nights are pretty foggy
rodman was in double team, wesley snipes was in demolition man.
Well Im be Van Damned, Double Team was a pretty fun movie as a kid
Rodman was not just defence. He also "got under the skin" of the opposition and upset their game
Rodman was a great defensive player
i think the movie was "Double Team", it was an action movie with VanDamme
They called him the "Worm" for a reason
I’d love to see you guys do the greatest goat break down of Jordan vs LeBron. I’m sure daz knows about Jordan being the greatest but the way they break it down it really shows just how great Jordan was!
Dennis rodman was in a Jean Claud Van Damme movie called Double Team
Demolition Man was with _Wesley Snipes._ However, I'm pretty certain that Wesley was doing his best Rodman impersonation throughout the entire movie
Ben Wallace was the answer to losing Rodman for the Pistons in the end, but no one could replace Rodman on the boards
Not hearing Marv Albert cover games will be tough. Such a great announcer.
dennis rodmans daughter just won an award in the woman’s soccer league over here… maybe MVP?
It was always a good idea to foul Shaquille because he was a terrible foul shooter.
Rodman was in DOUBLE TEAM with Jean Claude Van Damme
You guys should watch last dance
Rodman…best rebounder, maybe best defensive player ever…Hall of Fame
Rodman and Shaq are in my top 5 all time favorites. And as dominant as Dennis was he couldn't stop the size and power of Shaq. The only way would to foul him and have Shaq miss half his free throws.
One interesting thing about basketball that you might not know is the nuance to fouling. There are so many unwritten rules and stipulations, Rodman was the type of guy who believed that if he was gonna foul he wasn't gonna let the person score. That obviously leads to harder fouls that could then be seen as intentional fouls or technical fouls. Its a fine line to walk as a player because nothing is worse than fouling a guy and not affecting his shot. The offensive player will take the soft foul and still score and you will get benched.
Shaq was bigger but by virtually every person who saw Rodman be physical, Rodman was unnaturally strong and would end games and go workout/get on a treadmill.
Rodman was a Hall of Fame caliber defender.
🤣🤣🤣 Oh, Dave! 🤣🤣🤣☠
Lol it was Wesley Snipes in Demolition Man.
To be fair Wesley Snipes did have dyed blonde hair in a movie in the 90’s.
Rodman was in a movie with Jaun Claude Van Damme I forget the name though.🤔 Double Play Double something.🤨I forget
More basketball reaction!!!
Almost any one of these plays would get ppl fines and suspensions now 😂 back when basketball was a collision sport
they called that a flop...today they actually flop on the ground like fish
You guys should watch charles barkley and charles Oakley heated moments bball vault.
Demolition Man was wesley snipes. 😂😂. Thats hilarious
You should react too nikola jokic best plays he won nvp last year
@office blokes Rodman was a defensive and rebounding specialist. His offense was little more than mediocre. He was the best antagonist though
Rodmon use to foul shack because shack was not good on the free throw line he was good at dunking up close
Rodman was strictly in the game to foul people and keep them from scoring. I remember several times he got to many fouls before halftime and he would have to sit out the second half.
He was the best rebounder in the league
NBA dream team would be a good one
Yeah he's the greatest rebounder ever, prob the best defensive PF ever but he also had an ability like no other to get into people's heads. I grew up in Chicago in the 90's, hated him until he joined the Bulls. Imagine for a whole game you got Jordan and this lunatic chirping annoying shit in your ear all game long while they are beating your ass.
You should react to Reggie Miller 8 points in 9 seconds against the New York Knicks in the NBA playoffs. It's a historic game.
Didn't realize Rodman was that big
Could you react to:
"Gus Johnson's Greatest Calls by RS Highlights"?
Rodman was like this with everyone he played against
Yeah but he mainly did it to Shaq since he sucks at free throws
It was Snipes in Demolition Man, but yes you were wrong Ginger Man.
demolition man was snipes not rodman, but I don't blame you for the mixup, goofy hairstyles the world around 😂🤣😂🤣😂
Snipes was in Demolition Man, Rodman was in Simon Sez. Both movies had that fat white guy with that frost tipped hairdo in the front.
I forget the name but he was definitely in a kung fu film.
Okay wrong actor that was Wesley Snipes who played in demolition Man Dennis rodman played in the movie double take with Jean-Claude Van Damme
Don't get me wrong,... would hate to have a 7'1 300 plus pounds Shaq trying to fight me,... but Rodman was CRAZY and played for "Bad Boys" Pistons squad that is known as the most physical and dirtiest team ever!... Definitely not tryna squab with Dennis Rodman 🤣
Rodman was probably the only guy I seen that shaq would try and back down and couldn’t move him.
Shaq said of all guys he played against....Big Country was the toughest to move, Shaq said he was just about as heavy and strong as himself.
@@seansimms8503 big country was a big dude for sure. Oh and shaq has said Yao is hard to move as well. I would love to have seen shaq vs wilt, Nate Thurmond,or artis Gilmore who all could match shaq in strength and size as well.
We can tell who didn’t watched the entire video before commenting 😬
Too many lol
I get bringing up how big Rodman is (6'7 230ish) but but bringing it up over in over while talking about how big Shaq is (7'1 325+) just sounds silly.
325 was a complete BS weight lol it baffles me that people believe that. 7'1 with his huge frame there's no way he was 325, in reality he was probably about 360lbs and around 400 lbs at his time with the Lakers. It's almost as crazy as people believing Durant is only 6'9
may I suggest react to PHILIPPINE SCOUT RANGER AND IM KEEN TO SEE YOUR REACTIONS
Back when the nba was not soft as hell and woke.
Oh Dave. You fell into one of the classic blunders. The most famous of the classic blunders is to ask a chubby girl when the due date is. But the second and arguably more dangerous is to confuse all blonde haired, future dystopian cyborgs are the same guy... I hate to be the bearer of bad news but
YOU'RE CANCELED.
Please report to the pillory for rotten tomato duty.
Pistons vs bulls?
there's too much nuance for this video to be appreciated for people casual to the sport.
Toni Rudiger gives big Rodman energy
Lmao 🤣 why you do him like that
please react to korean war
please react to gulf war
Rodman defensive player but he does not have the physical strength of Shack even Rodman knows that in Rodman's not as tall as Shaq either there's no one in the league that can take on Shaq as far as strength
See Rodman has no chance against Shaq because Shaq is the most powerful player in the NBA as far as size and strength he just bulldozes everyone over in the past Shack is dunk the ball and they all the backboard came down with a glass came down Shaq is 7 foot 2 330 lb
Shaq aint nothing, look up Manute Bol, guy was so big it's hard to wrap your head around lol
Love seeing NBA clips from when it was a man's game in it's prime. Half these hard fouls and extra shoves would result in ejections in today's lady league.
What the hell is henchness?
Big, strong looking
Despite Rodman’s size he always defended shaq really well
Shaq had a hip hop album that went platinum in the 90s so Shaq won
What a weird video to react to.
How you not watching a movie cause Dennis in it. Stfu.
