Yup. And the hints where there from the start. Be it the endless violence within Soul Society or the nobles being greedy backstabbers. My first impression that something was deeply wrong with Soul Society was seeing the afterlife as a slum after Rukia claimed it was a 'restful' place.
Right? The lore/story of bleach in its entirety is probably my favorite story!
The hell arc definitely feels like a step into that real darker side of Bleach that Ichigo can potentially experience
So fighting and going to war with super powerful soul eating monster spirits who want to kill him and super powerful spirit nazi's led by a twisted version of Jesus ( yhwach ) isn't dark enough ?

After Yamamoto founded the seritei and academy, Shinigami could work to have a better purpose in life. But that still doesn't seem to cleanse the predecessors sins. It is no wonder he was always so stubborn because he used to be a criminal. It's just said that Ichigo's story never revolved around the dark sides of the soul society he desperately wanted to protect. The Soul society really can't catch a break. Look at the Quincy genocide, Aizen's betrayal, the 1000 year blood warfare, Mayuri's backstory for his imprisonment, dishonoring of the Shiba family,the revolutionary royals like Tokinada and Asashiro.
Yamamoto didnt create the Seireitei.. he founded the academy and then the Gotei 13.. the seireitei existed for a million years

Well, the quincy genocide was for the sake of the three worlds remaining stable but still dark. But, I mean, with all the context, the quincy could have avoided it if they just listened to begin with.
@@nunya5230 It wouldn't have been avoided because making the worlds unstable was the plan all along from the Quincy. Yhwach's plan was to make the world unstable and return things back to before the world was split by the 5 families.
So Yhwach was the real hero all along man even offered Ichigo to come along with me but didn't know Ichigo was clueless to his soul society history.😭 .
Ichigo is basically a over sized dog to the soul society that they use to get rid of threats and feed him bs to keep him in line.
Exactly this. Hell they were going to use his body as the soul king's replacement as the lynchpin if yhwach's body wouldn't have existed. You what that meant. He would be sealed, his organs and body parts removed, etc. So yeah ichigo is just a dog for soul society.

This is why yhwach and aizen are good in a twisted way. They wanted to change this horrible and corrupt system set up by the shinigami. Imagine if yhwach had simply come to aizen and his arrancar army and propose a temporary partnership ? The shinigami would have been screwed.

Gotta love how each of the Ancestors of the 5 Great Noble families wanted to create a new world for a specific reason, but they ended up with the opposite of what they wanted.
The Kuchiki family wanted order, yet the world is filled with chaos.
The Shihōin family wanted a world of progress, but they are among the main factions that are obsessed with maintain the status quo.
The Shiba wanted to find a more mercurial method of killing Hollows, and one of their descendants is literally part Hollow.
The Tsunayashiro family wanted to eliminate what they saw as the greatest threat to their family, The Soul King, and their line was ended because of the actions of their own Leader, Tokinada.
The last family wanted to ensure that Hell was kept in check, and now the Gates of Hell are being forced open.
In short, the 5 Ancestors fucked up, and now the current generation has to deal with it.

The Soul King is the ultimate victim, tried to do what was right and legitimately cared about the vulnerable only to be put in a catch 22 situation that resulted in horror. All thanks to the sheer ambitions of 5. No doubt the King's mingling with 'weak' humans influenced their decision, especially since their descendants in the aristocracy espouse strongly elitists prejudices regarding humans. Yoruichi want to brainwash Hisagi at the end of CFYOW for knowing about the Spirit King and the dangerous aura she espoused shows that the sin still echoes even now. Can imagine how many lives have been ended to keep it hidden.
This is why aizen and yhwach were the good guys in a twisted way. They wanted to change things. I wish yhwach had just come to aizen and his arrancar army early and propose a temporary ally ship. And then unleash their forces on soul society.

@@AngelKnightZeo713 According to the song, the seal would be broken and the king would regain his heart after 900 years. 90 years after, his intellect would return. And 9 years afterwards, his power would return.
He's been "awake" for at least 9 years. He just didn't have the power to contend with Soul Society at that point.
it's quite ironic that Ichigo who's a shiba member was the one to 'free' the Soul King (even though he doesn't know the real truth) the original shiba member was against the idea and was cast aside

The Bleach anime really needs to include the Can’t Fear Your Own World novels. They help wrap up the TYBW arc as well as flesh out more of the soul society’s past and also sheds more light on the person that killed Kaname’s friend and the horribleness of Soul Society that drove Kaname towards vengeance. Hopefully the anime also delves more into Juha Bach’s backstory, and where exactly he came from. Was he just a manifestation of the soul king’s power? From what I remember he was just discovered somewhere, a baby with no hearing, vision, or anything else.
As much as i want that... I would rather not cause this story is about Ichigo right.. and kubo himself said that this revolves around Ichigo so other mystries will just lenghten the story... But i too wanna see them novels get animated...And if possible and continuation of Hell Arc... All the uses of Kidos, New Bankai reveal, How Urahara and Yoruichi met, A venture on the primodial world, A vivd explanation on all the races in bleach, A crossover between Burn The Witch and Bleach, And last but not the least Why is there hell in HELL BUTTERFLY!!!

Man, sometimes I think the Shinigamis were the bad ones,and sometimes I think Aizen was right all along, he just secretly want to end the Soul King's suffering, they even hid to Ichigo the first Substitute Shinigami. The most mysterious characters to me are Urahara, Yoruichi, and Ichibei, man they unto something.
Aizen didn't wanna end Soul Kings suffering. He wanted to take his place though, not as a corpse but as an actual King.

Also Tokinada's death in CFYOW's end was part of the deadly cover up however an awful nightmare of a person he was. Yoruichi made this coldly clear in her discussion with Kisuke on the matter, being dangerously edgy about it. Unsurprising given she's a noble and killer just like Kisuke was but at least he understands the sinister implications of this, possibly better than her.

@@thefinalgamer2243 Worst, having been an assassin she certainly took lives to keep the secret and it was implied that she would've killed if it was someone other than Hisagi. In WDKALY she tells Rose and Kira that it's necessary to keep secrets for stability but admits that those in power do not learn anything.

He does know Soul Society is flawed but that's it. We may see this change if the series continues though. I doubt she would given he's her student, she'd resort to memory wiping.

I believe Kubo also stated he’ll choose to work on it when he’s not being told/pressured to do it. Bleach TYBW ended up being rushed with loads of problems due to his personal health and pressure from the publishers and fans. So probably better he takes his sweet time without outside stress

I just hope that the anime or at least the novels, if they are animated later, are explaining it in that detail like you did and maybe even more new content than we already know and not just little pieces throughout the whole different serieses like anime, novels and manga continuation.
I was never one of the people who complained about Kubo not spoonfeding us because that's what i actually love about Bleach and giving us the community room for speculation and discussions even still after a decade. But now after a decade Kubo should really reveal what actually happened back then with the Soul king and thd ancestors "in detail"

Easily, Bleach has the most profound lore simply because of how much it's like hearing the tales in Soulsborne games. I really wish we'd get a whole spinoff, maybe even an anime original of the Rei-O up until the original sin. Such a good story. I never thought the series I've loved as a kid, who I thought was just about fancy sword skills had this deep lore.

i like the idea of the original sin and how it connects the world of bleach more showing how just like souls in bleach everything is connected in some way. Aizen, Ywach, Ginjo all have motivates that circle back to the original sin and why atleast Aizen and Ywach did what they did. The soul society is essentially founded on lies, betrayal, and sun and Aizen and Ywach were aware of that and wanted to change that. CFYOW should be made into some chapters or atleast ovas

Indeed. The ironic thing is that Soul Society's nobles in particular have won. They have all the power, wealth and control yet prefer to feud among themselves using ruthless assassins as Soifon's flashbacks showed us. All while wallowing in decadent corruption. Unsurprising. The only true innocence is with Ichigo and his human friends.
Not sure how a negative word becomes a sinner. Words are words, but how you choose to live is on you and not the creator, not how you're born. But some lets say beings seem interested enough to cheat and go around the creator and not consult him....Well interesting thought process...even though its not really clear to me. Man Bleach sure has changed alot and my views on it has changed.

He honors their mission and wills. Although he is technically the ruler of shinigami, he rules through the frame and laws the 5 noble clans created, which is the world of bleach.

Ichibei also mentions that what he says about the SK’s motives is speculation. We know from how his power attacked all the Shinigami, that the SK was not happy with his situation or the state of the world.
The fact his power attacked shinigami is a fact... but it's also speculation as to why. You could argue it was Reio being angry about the situation. You could also argue that was Yhwachs influence, as he absorbed the power then expunged the excess. Or even just Yhwach used the Almighty to make it the future where the power would only go after shinigami.

The CFYOW needs to be adapted in the anime so the fans see the world as it's! There is no right and wrong side / evil and good in bleach !! It's all revolves around the greed of souls ( peace / dominance/ power / life ) . I find it to be unfortunate that a lot of the fans can't relate to yhwach as a character because his backstory is only revealed in the light novels ! Personally what I find most fascinating about bleach is that I can't help but be invested in the motives of the characters.

Why is dismembering the Soul King for societal stability considered the Original Sin? Wouldn't separating the planes of existence be the actual Original Sin? The Soul King rewrote the laws of reality, the noble families just ensured.
The sin is probably better described by the stagnation they created by their actions. The separation was originally made to stop the stagnation and it worked. But the thing about progress is you need change. By creating an eternal lynchpin they just tied reality up in a new unchanging existence.
Because they societal stability just from sealing the sk they had no reason to dismember the sk other than fear of the sk.
I suppose you're right and it is still "sinful". But, if the SK knew this was the only path to accomplish his goals doesn't that mean he also knew no one would tolerate a living "god king".
How many eons would the SK live before he decides he's tired of holding reality as it is and decided to be upend it?
It's huge grey area to me and what makes Bleach's writing great. But, it's hard to feel completely sympathy when the SK knew what he was walking into and where this was going to lead.
I always hesitate when it comes to manga/comic writing, because one new chapter can recontexualize the entire series.
@@ikkenhissatsu8564 The King of Souls knew exactly that this option could happen, but not the fact that it happened, because the almighty perceives all timelines at the same time. That is why shinigami are complete traitors and culprits of this world.
I always wondered whether or not the original ancestors are dead or not. Because, and hear me out here, these people are extremely powerful and as such should be able to live pretty long as a result. I would use Ichibei as an example but since he has the hoken that could be the reason for his long life span. However, if they truly are dead then that means that they should be in hell, and y'all know what means.
I really hope we at one point learn the name of the 5th family. It feels like a crime that we have so much fleshed out lore surrounding the creation of the world and it's connection to the Reio and the 5 ancestors to the noble families, but we don't even know one of their names.
First names of the ancestors or character designs would be amazing too. Wouldn't it be interesting to see how much the dominant genes in the families have changed or stayed the same? My guess would be that even all those millennia ago their predominant characteristics were the same, showing just how much effort was put into preserving each bloodline. But come on, there is no excuse for not even having a name for the 5th family.
The soul society are the good guys because of Ichigos influence
Uryu shoots yhwach with a special metal arrow that Ryūken Ishida pulls out from uryu's mom's heart that forms when yhwach uses Auswählen to kill all half blood Quincy. The arrow cancels out all of yhwachs powers for one second and Ichigo cuts him in half and they use him as the new battery to hold the worlds together end of the 1000 year war, 10 years pass Ichigo and orihime have a kid and he absorbed the rest of yhwachs powers and Ichigo's kid is a soul reaper and send souls to hell thinking it's the soul society and throws the worlds out of order and hell breaks open and u get to see a new type of hollows and the 7th espada breaks free and he has a whole new bad ass design and all the captains that die end up as hells guardians. So we will probably see all the old captains and the og gotay 13.
I really hope that the newly animated series brings bleach back in the limelight but I'd hate for it to end up like Boruto with aliens and shit

Wait a minute... Is it a sin if the Soul King, with his command of the Almighty and with it omniscience and omnipotence, knew that his sacrifice was necessary to stabilize the existence of the worlds in BLEACH as we know it? Why else would he allow himself to be captured and then mutilated? I think we are looking at this from the wrong perspective.
Also, the fifth noble family is not unknown. In the movie "Memories of No One," I think the fifth noble family is the one banished to the Precipice World and in doing so created the Valley of Tears. I don't know if this is true, but it would make sense. I'm honestly grasping at straws.

The Soul King has omniscience and can see all the future. That means even though he would hate the outcome, he intentionally let himself be sealed and mutilated.
I have only 2 guesses why:
1. He also wanted the world to progress and move on from stagnation that he himself was the cause, but didn't have the heart to do it himself, as all suffering afterwards would lie on him. Therefore letting himself be sealed and mutilated takes away that blame and puts it all on the Shinigami/Soul Society. While he may have laid the pieces, it wasn't him who committed the sin.
2. He wanted to die, but no one has the capability to kill him. Doesn't help the world at that time was in stagnation, and can't give birth to souls stronger than him. He let himself be sealed and mutiliated so he would be weakened, than waited for the one future where a boy with he power to sever fate will be born to kill him once and for all. Afterall, while a linchpin was need, it didn't need to be just him, just something with specific unique properties.
Here the point is rather that the king of souls expected that five ancestors have at least a drop of conscience.
so in the end soul reapers you do not want to trust soul society very much bad and are liars plus low key evil

It was obvious, in that the background of Hell and Hueco Mundo are founded on an older world. There are toppled statues of unknown origin, drawn into the backgrounds of the Hell Verse movie and Hueco Mundo.
I think the unnamed clan, is the Ukitake clan. Captain Ukitake's brainchild was Ichigo's medallion, to "limit" Ichigo's power (much like the ancestor's "lid" for Hell). Also, the Fullbring leader hated him. As well, Kazui rode on Captain Ukitake's bankai as he left his room. In my headcanon--Renji, is Ukitake's son. It makes an almost perfect circle. To complete that circle, is Rukia. I don't think Byakuya told her the complete truth.
I think why Byakuya's marriage to Rukia's sister was controversial with his family, wasn't because she was lower class--but that she was the Soul King's heart which split in two.
Oh...I think the reason why Aizen was so fascinated with Orihime, is because she might be the Soul King's Will. He submitted to be encapsulated, against his better judgement. And he was betrayed.

Rather, for everything, he would have begun to rebuild the world for himself by telling people the truth about sin and getting rid of noble families. Further, he would proclaim himself the new and eternal king of the three worlds.

Looks like senpai finally integrating the light novels... But Bleach stay contradicting itself. They've always said that menos first begin by hollow merging into one another and then eating other menos to evolve. They showed it to us a couple times. That would mean all the Arrancar are amalgamations of dozens or even hundreds of individual hollow souls. But then you have the same franchise tell us certain Espada were sent to hell because of sins they committed in their human life.... That doesn't make sense. Those Arrancar which are evolved and unmasked Menos are the souls of MANY hollows, not just one, this how the whole be judged by the action of one?

Sure, maybe random soul A that Szayelaporo is made out of didn't commit any sins, but Szayel sure did, and because of that Szayel was cast into hell since he's the dominant personality.

People always forget to take into account the agency of others when analyzing stuff and will use nonsense terms like "victim blaming" because they see the world exclusively through the moralistic context of their time and not through what it really is and will always be, interaction of individuals with agency, each of them is capable to fight and in this case the Soul King was the most capable.
I don't think is an unforgivable sin, the king volunteered himself for it. the king could've stopped them and he didn't he king was also able to see the dismemberment, he saw the tybw event happening and Yhwach dying on the hands of Ichigo, Aizen and Uryu, it was so easy for him to stop it from happening, stop the founders and Ichibe. But he also saw the alternatives, and probably he just let it happen because it was the best for humanity as a whole, including hollows.

Where did the hollows come from, if not from dead humans? Humans couldn't die until the 3 worlds came into being, so I am just confused if there is an explanation that I am not aware of.
And why would the Soul King destroy hollows, which destabilized the world, if he had the ability to see the future in its entirety? It just feels like that just doesn't work together, like there's a piece that we weren't told, something that we still haven't been told explaining and justifying the Soul King's actions.

The key to Hollowfication is negative emotions from itself and the explanation for the presence of Hollows, and killing Hollows is destructive only for the modern vicious world; for the original world, it did not affect integrity in any way.
What if the Soul King gave himself up voluntarily because he had an interest in it? As you said hell was before the Soul King, so probably even he had no power over it. Thanks to The Almighty he knew what the shinigami would do to him and knew that Ichigo would kill him. But he also knew that Ichibe would be faithful to him and perform a funeral like the captains received and he would be cast to hell. The new chapter shows that beings sent to hell become stronger. And what if it was all about being stronger and having power over everything, even over hell. The Soul King would be the last bad guy in Ichigo and the gang's path.

I’d like to believe that Yhwach is still alive in some sort or at least he wants to make it seem like he’s truly dead but not because within this scene in that last chapter his reiatsu appeared in the soul society again but whats more concerning is that a piece of it appeared near Kazui. Why would 10 years later his reiatsu rise again and specifically target Kazui? Did Yhwach see 10 years witthin the future with his almighty? I can understand his reiatsu appearing again within the soul society since that’s where he fought and had numerous battles at but how is it possible for it to appear within the house of Ichigo’s let alone in Kazui room?
This Is weird to me not only that but Kazui didn’t even seem scared or anything when it appeared it looked like he was just drawn to it. Who would just randomly touch something they just saw and no nothing of its whereabouts? But overall I don’t see Yhwach coming back because he’s the soul king, if he was to be defeated or killed the world would end because his power holds the world together. But if he was to somehow take the host of another body that would be possible but I don’t see how that would happen.
