Freddie never complained about his illness or showed how much pain he was in but that clip where he turns and walks to his mark shows how hard it had become for him even to walk a few feet. What a man he was!! Working so hard for as long as he could just to leave more music for his friends and his fans. We will always love you Freddie.

That was so nice of you to write, I feel exactly the same about Freddie ... A VERY BRAVE MAN. Every time I see Freddie do that song, it just brings Larry back to me, (see my cother comment above) & he was only 35, so believe me, It was gut wrenching. Larry lived for his piano & songwriting, both rock/pop which he called "Bubble Gum music" & also classical. He often filled in with the rock/pop group "Crazy Elephant " , are u old enough to remember them? One song was GIMME, GIMME GOOD LOVIN' He'd play piano kinda like Spike Edney & Fred Mandel did for Queen.. I posted another comment on here about him. He told all of us what he had planned to do. Here's even the strangest part.. it was also on Nov 24th that he took the deadly cocktail, long before Freddie passed, in the late 1970s but the same Nov 24th like when Freddie died. And I had to go to a family Thanksgiving dinner party at my aunt & uncle's house. The irony is he too wrote a song that we never finished, like when Brian May had to finish MOTHER LOVE because Freddie was physically unable to ever return to finish that song. I've often wished I could somehow reach out to Brian to do the same for ours... Larry entitled the song The Perfect Truth & we set it up legally so if anybody knows Bri personally, please tell him about Larry's unfinished masterpiece. Brian is such an incredible songwriterx his lyrics truly move me in so much of his work ...
FATHER TO SON, SAVE ME are my faves. ANYWAY.... just wanted to tell you I liked yr comment, we are kindred spirits perhaps.

I love how he sings so hauntingly in some songs, even if he didn't write the song he somehow makes the lyrics seem like it's what he's going through in his life at that moment. Timeless.

There are a lot of Great singers in music history,Many of them who have performed wonderful songs, and legendary performances. But NONE , I mean NONE that could sing an emotion , and a feeling like Freddie could. No one before , and no one since has had the effect that Freddie had on music.

That was Freddie again at his best vocally, yet very difficult to watch . It is said he was in excruciating pain trying to walk & move about that last time & I can't watch that... I prefer listening to it on my vinyls or cds or on the Queen Official Channel. Only an incredibly brave man would venture into a studio with an open wound on his leg & down to skin & bone to have made that last video barely able to stand or walk. When they announced Freddie's death I remember thinking thank heaven he's not in pain anymore, who would want him to suffer . He'd had enough & like my musician friend who at the age of 35 couldn't play his piano anymore due to Multiple Sclerosis, he also chose not to live when unable to play any longer. Music was their life & they chose their own deaths if no longer able to make music. Larry turned me onto Queen & Freddie's piano playing many years ago & I miss them both every day. I am so glad he got thru that long painful day to say goodbye to us as he wanted to do... musically.. I just choose not to see it again, it is heartbreaking 💔 .
I liked yr reaction HAP, it was easier to watch yr smiling face & your sincere admiration of Freddie's voice control & your performance critique. Happy New Year, Kiddo ! You're still my fave!

I do love this song; it's creative and his voice sounds wonderful. I kind of hate that some of these videos pull on your heartstrings in terms of his illness and death. It wasn't that way to begin with but full of the sadness of the loss of a special someone. The somewhat strange choices for some of the footage used definitely puts this song in the "lyrics only" category for me. Thank you so much for your reaction!

Hey HAP. Well once again you had me in tears with this video. When you get a chance watch the original video it's animated and very sad too. Sorry I am a little late on my comment. I can mark off another song off of FREDDIE'S solo album MR BAD GUY that you now have seen. That last video that FREDDIE did is so heart breaking because he was so sick and very frail I have a hard time watching it. I love the song though. Nice reaction. I just love that song in and out, it's in my eternal top 5 list of all Queen/ Freddie songs.
I just can't watch the cartoon video and also not the clips video, I just prefer the music for itself.
10:10 the way he harmonizes with himself in the end gets me every time, also the piano throughout the song. Or the tears in his voice, when he sings "tomorrow..." in 9:18
It was a movie title, Freddie took the song idea and title from a movie title of his friend, German actress Barbara Valentin (the movie title was "Kiss me like there's no tomorrow")

Hap, you could possibly be correct that Freddie recorded this in one take. When he was near the end, he would record his lead vocals first. Previously, he liked to record his lead vocals along with instrumental tracks laid down first. He wanted to make and leave music - he said that “they” (Queen bandmates) would know what to do. There’s also an animated version of this song that is very touching. Love your reaction, as always. Stay Safe!

Beautiful song! I've never seen this video, only the official Freddie solo version (which is great) and I feel a bit angry that they used Freddie's illness as a video through line in such an obvious way. I don't think you were ready to see that "These Are The Days of our Lives" video footage. I guess I don't want anyone to have to watch that more than for the song it was intended. • @sharonallforloveandpositiv5497

Anyone can cover a Freddie song, but not like Freddie. They have no heart, soul, feelings or emotions In their singing like Freddie did. Ever. Adam Lambert is good, but for me their is no feeling or deep emotion in how he sings the songs in concerts with Queen. He is literally just singing them. No one like Freddie.
