Rocky 3 is an hour of training montages
That’s why it’s so good
ROCKY 3 makes you wish you could have montages in real life.
You god damn right
That's all you need
It's more of a redemption tale which I like a lot
Rocky 2 was also a 10
facts
Facts
Yeah, Jonathan Ross is completely wrong there. It's the second best movie in the franchise right after the first. Rocky I > Rocky II > Rocky III > Rocky Balboa > Rocky IV >>>>>>>>>>> Rocky V
@@WildMorgan Totally agree with your list
Absolutely!
Rocky Balboa one of the best motivational speeches in the movie.
10/10 movie - so many scenes made me tear up. Rocky 1, Balboa, and 2 are the best ones
@@JonnnyStorrrmI would say 3 instead of 2, but otherwise yes
Nah it was motivational for 11 year old retardz
@@spencergsmith3 was bad.
@@nasserbukhari9513that’s your opinion. 3 is my favorite of the entire series. Lang is a good villain, Mickey sadly dies, he and Creed become friends, Rocky learns how to actually box, Adrian gives an amazing speech while Rocky admits his fears, and it’s the only movie where he comes back from a loss to win his title back. Plus it gave us one of the most popular modern inspirational songs, Eye of the Tiger.
Rocky 4. Was 100% 👍
no way 💀 it was decent and had a great villain but the overall movie is like a 6-7/10
4 is a 10 no doubt...
If he dies, he dies.
100%
The newer version is far better
it’s overrated. Rocky 2 is the best in my opinion
Rocky 4 is the one I watched over and over again as a kid
Best line ever is Adrian: “Win”
That part gives me chills every single time I see it.
Gave me chills hearing it in my head
Yo Adrian. Pass me the brascoe paper! 💩🤣🤣🤣
Dudes an absolute juggernaut in the film industry
All Rocky movies are great the UK don’t understand this I guess.
@@BillyPowell1971 5 is bad.
He went pretty far with performance enhancement drugs, it was pretty wild...surprised he survived that, steroids do all kinds of damage.
Rocky 4 by far my favourite
I've never seen "wocky" 😂
Me neither. He likes the twaining sequences tho. Gweat film.
@@catcherupa wud a winner
Oh no!! He has a speech impediment, argh!!!!
@@Butterratbee "A yo, Adwian."
Great films
I actually loved rocky 5 after the third time I watched it. The first time I hated it because there was no big fight for rocky. But there is so much passion and fire in rocky trying to train tommy and everything about the movie is actually so beautiful.
That movie is awful, just stop it. If even Stallone says so, you know it's not up for debate 😂
@@bluecrasher7710 I'm not trying to change anyone's mind. I stated why I like it.
@@twofknscoops6379and you have the right to be wrong. Hell I like macdonalds and it still objectively garbage.
@@georgebrady5369 I'm not wrong though.
@@twofknscoops6379 I disagree but I respect your opinion
The flashback scene with Mick in Rocky V is one of the best moments in the entire franchise. I've quoted parts of it for 30 years
Love his honesty
Honesty?…Rocky Balboa was not the end!
@@bluecollartradesman715 in reference to Rocky 5, and Rocky 6 was the conclusion of his story, the following movies were to open up the story for Creed.
Rocky 2 is amazingly good
Wocky 3 is better!
Rocky 2: rocky learns to read
@@1991jamesbond Rocky two was the best because it has everything, it showed Rocky at the top of the world to losing everything again because he didn’t handle his finances well and then had to start from the mud all over again and was struggling to make ends meet and then he and Adrian had their child and then she fell into a Coma and then he fought Apollo again and beat him to become he heavyweight champion. The 2nd has heart and passion and it was rooted in real world issues and struggle that many people could relate too because then even though he lost everything his love and dedication to Adrian is what spurred him back to prominence
@@1991jamesbondwocky 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Johnafan woths
@@vincew4297 solid take G
rocky 4 is my favorite the soundtrack was reallly good
“They’re not all great”
“WHAT?”
Rocky 4 is a ten 🔟 all day long best soundtrack, best fight, best training.
Rocky 5 had one of the best street fights of all time. When Tommy knocks him down at the end and he can’t get up was super intense and as a kid I actually thought he was staying down, Stallone sold it so well. And then he has the flashback of his coach, “get up you son of a bitch… cause Mickey loves you.” And you hear the trumpets playing the theme song… I’m getting goosebumps 30 years later.
Excellent Scene.
@@Butterratbee no one. Only fight that looked realistic. Rocky IV blocks punches with his head.
@@Butterratbee Typo. You saying Rocky 4 fight was good?
Me too
You all should be happy we got Rocky 2006 in original speculation I don’t know if it’s true but Tommy would kill Rocky in that street fight but got scrapped whatever that’s true or not you all can search up but I’m happy Rocky kicked his ass and they made Iconic Rocky 2006
Rocky 4 was a masterpiece and was the peak of the franchise.
1976. NOVEMBER at a Drive-in. With an in car heater and a 10th grade girlfriend. Had my license for 6 months. Great movie...greater night ! Time flies...yo Rocco....thank God we grew up when we did 🇺🇲
For me its always been rocky 4...my absolute favorite
Rocky-9.5
Rocky 2-9
Rocky 3- 9
Rocky 4-10
Rocky 5-5
Rocky Balboa-8
Yeah i think you're being generous here
Rocky 1 - 9
Rocky 2- 8
Rocky 3 - 9
Rocky 4 -7
Rocky 5- 6
Rocky 6 -5
Damn, only 5 for Rocky9
This is correct
@@Leonknight2000 Rocky 4 is the best of them all
No way did he rate 4 that low. Best one
Rocky 2 is just as good if not better than Rocky 1. You can almost watch them together as one long movie. Same vibe, humor, etc
Exactly
2 is the only one I don't remember.
@@jeromepowell1873
2 is when Rocky beats Apollo and becomes champion, yo Adrian I did it~~~~~
How could you not remember 😂
@@Paul-sl9zm I thought that was the first one.

Rocky lost in the first Rocky.
Rocky 4 was the best! Way ahead of it's time!!!!
Rest peacefully "Creed". 🕯🕊🕊
I loved Rocky 5
The fight in Rocky 2 is by far the best out of them all.
Yo Adrian, I did it!!!
That's the only one I don't remember.
i swear rocky 4 is world wide recognised as the best…
4 isn’t the best of them but it is the most entertaining
Rocky 1 is widely accepted as the best film, but Rocky 4 is widely accepted as everyones favourite lol
rocky 1 won best picture mate
Critically speaking, Rocky I is the best. Rocky IV is definitely the most entertaining, but it's so silly. "Merica, good! Russia, bad! Rocky will beat dem!"
@@graet67 true me someone who was born in 2004 should know the film that won best picture in 1843…
ROCKY 2 was my favorite!
Rocky 4 was by far the best, excellent soundtrack too
I watched Rocky 4 1000 times. Rocky 3 was the second most watched. The others were ok but only saw them a couple of times.
Number 4 is a 10. It’s the most American, most WORK YOUR ASS OFF, most amazing film he’s ever made in my humble opinion. It’s truly the movie I believe that made him a legendary pop culture icon lmao.
Love ALLRocky films❤
Rocky 4 is my favorite
Rocky 4 all day
Rocky 4 is 10/10
=1
Rocky 2 was my favorite growing up.
Sure it's got pacing issues, and it's tone is a bit clunky, but it had awsome training montages, and it's end fight destroyed the first.
Rocky 2 was great, personally preferred it to 1
Same
Rocky 4 was, without a doubt, a 10. It was the best Rocky movie.
Rocky 2 is the best Rocky. Or at least its the best for character work. In the first one Rock is straight up unhinged in his his interactions with Adrian. But in Rocky 2, shes the thing that balances him out. To the point where hes unsure if he should fight because she's in a coma and needs her to help make the decision. They're a unit. It's a fairly good depiction of what making big decisions is like where you're married. Plus the sweet tiger jacket!
1sr rocky was the best, raw budget...
Rocky 4 is the definitive Rocky movie. It’s also the definitive 80’s movie.
Rocky 2 has one of the greatest beginnings to any rocky movie. With the ambulance driving through Philadelphia with the music and late night moon light. Then with rocky going into apollos room and saying “hey Apollo. Can I ask you one question? Did you give me your best?” And then Apollo saying “yes” booom chills
1 and 4 are so good
The first four are all great.
Love them all.
Rocky 2 is my favorite. When Adrian wakes up in the hospital and asks him to do one thing for her, and she whispers, "win" I absolutely lose it. I'm ready to run through a wall with tears in my eyes.
2 is the only one I don't remember.
I’ll always have a soft spot for “Rocky V” because I was nine when it came out, and as movies did back then, it played incessantly on HBO, so I saw it tons. And it was also the first film of the franchise that I saw.
Plus I love that Mickey remembrance scene. “Get up, you son of a bitch! ‘Cause Mickey loves you!”
Rocky 5 was fantastic. You knocked him down. Why don't you try knocking me down now.❤
Rocky 1, 3, & 4 were all great for me🥊!🤙🏾
This is what I can't stand about critics and interviewers. This franchise wasn't just fighting and training. It was the life story of Rocky and Adrienne Balboa. Their ups and downs together, but also Rocky having the heart to rise to the top but never changed who he was. How he was a two bit fighter who became champ and went through the motions, lost his father figure (Mickey) and best friend (Apollo) only to have the best fight of his life and came back home from that fight to poverty again from mishandled funds. Then age catches up, but he fights one more time after his wife dies of cancer. Then, he finds out that his best friend has a kid out of wedlock and becomes his father figure and trains him to fight. Love the duplicity of all of the movies. The human element to me often met and overshadowed the boxing in a good way. Rocky 5 was great!
Best franchise and 5 was great. It felt like a natural organic progression to end up where they started. The dichotomy between Rocky, Tommy, and his son’s experiences growing up and having to deal with adversity was nuanced and spot on. The street fight was the perfect choice and felt way more realistic than Balboa fighting a boxer decades younger than him in the ring. 5 also set the stage for Balboa in a big way.
they are alll great!! especially 4 with rocky in the snow.
He’s harsh on two. I also fucking love Rocky 5
Same here!
I’m loved all the Rocky movies, for different reasons! Some were cinematic masterpieces, some were just good straightforward action/sports vehicles and the last 2 were well thought out swan songs, which returned the franchise to more of a dramatic film. Viva Balboa!
Rocky 4 was a 9/10 for the fight at the end alone.
Personally 5 is my 2nd favorite while the original is my number 1. Rocky 5 just shows the affects of fighting. He doesn’t want to give it up so he takes someone under his wing and tries to live through them while not realizing he’s losing his family because he doesn’t want to give the one thing he’s done all his life
Rocky 1-4 all classic films
No one will care, but here are my rankings:
Rocky - 10
Rocky II - 7
Rocky III - 8
Rocky IV - 9
Rocky V - 5
Rocky Balboa - 9
I care, Chris. 🤗
And, for what it’s worth, I reckon you’ve pretty much nailed those rankings. I might’ve given the full 10 to IV, and 8 to Balboa, but Inbsolitting hairs.
I agree with that ranking 👌
@@vonteflon I think I agree on Rocky Balboa being an 8. Emotionally IV is an 11, but when you distill that to its core, it’s a lot of montages. Haha
Nice list, I would put it -
Rocky - 10
Rocky II - 9.5
Rocky III - 8
Rocky IV -7
Rocky V - 2
Rocky Balboa - 9
@@kendonato1887this is a good list.
1 & 2 are the best films, but 4 is still my favorite.
Rocky 2 and 4 were definitely 10's
That actually showed quite a bit of humility for him to admit that Rocky V was that bad.
And yes, it absolutely was.
I just took a pic on Sunday on my way home from the Hollywood Farmers Market of the cover of a box of Mr. T cereal. He had his own Quaker Corn & Oats cereal with Mr. T stickers inside.
Mr T. was a big deal in the 80's. There's a picture of Nancy Reagan sitting on his lap and everything lol.
4 is my favourite.
I love all of them....I grew up on Rocky.
It's weird hearing him score them differently than I would, at least we agree on rocky 5
Rocky 4 kicks ass as well ! The street fight , Rocky vs Tommy was super badass ! It was legendary !
Rocky V is an underrated film. I don't understand all the hate towards this movie. Yes, it had its problems, but overall it's a decent film. Much better than all the 'Creed' movies combined.
This is great interviewing
I like five a lot more than 3. Five has some great one liners. The street fight reeks of awesomeness.
Loved all the Rocky movies, Some of the best movies I own, Rocky 4 has an awesome soundtrack, Love it!!
Can this guy please get an award before he dies?
rocky 2 is great!!! so slept on
Rocky 5 was bad but it had by far the best flashback period. Mickey in the gym just gives me chills every time
I recently watched all the Rocky movies last year for the first time and there are no bad ones IMO.
I like rocky 5, even just for the scene where he goes back up into micks gym and re lives one of the younger moments in his life training with mick.
I love all the Rocky movies. Hands down. Christmas, Thanksgiving they always put the movies on TV. I grew up watching these, and I absolutely love watching them
They’re all excellent. Not every chapter of a book is gonna be thrilling or exciting. I love each of them for showing different facets of life.
I kinda liked rocky five as much as any when I was kid
Rate em whatever you want but I'll watch them every single every single time they come on the TV. Always have, always will.
The 6th film definitely set the tone for the first Creed; with all the problems he had with Rocky Jr (although resolved) Donny is THE son Rock never had, just like Apollo! He’s living it for his friend, and it’s a really great theme of the film.
When Adrian wakes up and tells Rocky to Win. Hard to top that
As a kid 3 was the best! How awesome was in to see hulk hogan vs rambo!
First one was at the perfect time. So amazing so needed 1976
Rocky 5 was an emotion...
SYLVESTER STALLONE WAS IN A MOVIE CALLED STOP OR MY MUM WILL SHOOT AND I'VE GOT THIS MOVIE ON DVD AND HE WAS IN A MOVIE CALLED DAYLIGHT AND I'VE GOT THIS MOVIE ON DVD AND HE WAS A GREAT ACTOR IN THOSE MOVIES 😁
Rocky V is so underrated. It's actually one of my fav rocky movies. The soundtrack is fantastic. You need to see the workprint version over than the thearatical version. Like, i get its hate, and i will admit when i see this the 1st time round, i didn't like it, but the older I've got, the more of an understanding i have for the film. Rocky 4 directors cut is also my prefered version. So, for me, they go as follows
Rocky
Rocky 2
Rocky V
Rocky 3
Rocky 4(DC)
Rocky balboa
Rocky 4 was absolutely & undeniably a 10!
"I want you Balboa" 🫵
(In my best Clubber Lang voice)
Rocky 5 is so underrated.
I can’t disagree with any of the ratings except 4, that one is a 10 alone simply for “hearts on fiiiiire!” Montage😂👍🏽
Rocky 4 is vey good too, it deserves a 9
It's a pure 10
Great guy, wish I had someone like that as a positive influence in my life.
4 and 1 all day
Most honest celebrity answer ever
1-6 all 10/10.
“Prediction? Pain.” 😳
There's no chicken chaseing in rocky 4🥊
I actually liked Rocky V. For one thing I liked the fact that it wasn't Rocky IV. I saw all the Rocky films except the first one on the days they opened. I saw IV on Thanksgiving Eve 1985. It was obvious that Stallone made it to show off his then Trophy wife, Bridgitte Nielsen. The film series went from being an Oscar winning inspirational underdog film to being a 2 hour MTV special.
Rocky 1&4 are 10's
The first four are awesome.
I don't love Rocky V, but I do like to go back and rewatch it every once in a while
