For me it is the perfect video to wake up to, start my day with hype
I do the same. Falling asleep is usually a problem for me and this is the kind of thing that helps: interesting and smart content to feed my brain, honest words to feed my heart, a deep voice with a good microphone to shut down all external noise and a non-exagerated tone so I don't jump out of bed. No need for senseless eye candy nor x5 speed accelerated narrative nor faked purple dinosaur accents. It's just perfect as it is: genuine; so refreshing in 2024! Thanks Dev 🙌

Unstable Amulet actually doesn't need to stay out. The card only stops being able to be played when you exile another card with it, not when amulet leaves the battlefield.
Soo if you flicker it, you can have more than one card exiled and available to play while building up energy?
If OP is right, and it seems legit, then yah if you flicker amulet you get another card in exile because the game sees the amulet entering for a second time as a new object.
You mentioned stockpiling so I gotta mention that you can get a bonus card or bonus energy but not both, unless you have some kind of counters amplifier/doubler.
Warren Soultrader is completely nuts and will definitely see play in Commander Dev, the 3 cost doesn’t matter because the treasure tokens will pay it back and more
Warren Soultrader is basically Phyrexian Altar in black and you can't go infinite as easily (because you have to pay life on each activation). People will GLADLY add a second copy of Phyrexian Altar into their decks or try to snatch this up if it's still cheap, because Phyrexian Altar is like 15-20 bucks.
Warren Soultrader has more combo potential than Phyrexian Altar, because it can produce treasures. So it might end up being just as expensive as Altar.

Warren soultrade enables auto win combo turn 3 (if not interrupted). Grave crawler, blood artist, t3 win. Quite neat
Damn that's a really strong combo for aristocrats decks in Commander. Sheesh.
Just the tribes alone on this card: Zombie Goblin Wizard, so many synergies ;p

@@januszo.2180 Sheesh as in "damn I'm going to lose to this a lot at commander night while wishing I had my Swords to Plowshares" lol jk It's just a strong efficient combo for sure. I know WotC thinks adding the "pay 1 life" to the cost balances it, and it's a 3 drop, but creating a treasure is pretty strong, even compared to Phyrexian Altar simply because rectangle theory type logic. Granted, the same decks taking advantage of saccing creatures and abusing artifacts are rare, but still. This is a very powerful sac outlet for sure!

Warren Soultrader is glorious just for being such a lynch-pin kind of bulk rare that you can beef up a starter deck with.

Marionette Apprentice is worded well for the new vraska. Artifact YOU control is put into A graveyard. So those treasures you make out of their creatures trigger this when you sack them. Or any other artifact you steal counts.

I appreciate you sharing more previews of the MH3 cards. With those combos with the energy counters where you can win on turn two or three is not good. Why bother to play? I like a game of Magic and Commander to last a little longer. I really like Strix Serenade. Marionette Apprentice is so good and will fit into my black and red Commander deck. While MH3 has a lot of good cards in this set, the biggest problem is the price point. The last sets that had reasonable prices for a draft box (no longer made) and set boxes were $89.99 and $99.99 for Wilds of Eldraine and Lost Caverns of Ixalan. Collector boxes were $189.99. Dominaria Remastered, Commander Masters, Ravnica Remastered, and MH3 are all overpriced reprint sets and if players keep buying them, Wizards will continue to raise prices. I dread what the prices will be for 2025. My two sons, friends, and I used to buy cases of sealed boxes 6 years ago. Now we hardly buy anything except for the Pre-cons and the prerelease kits form our LGS. Wizards wants players to pay excessive prices for sealed boxes where most of the time you do not get much value. They reprint cards so often that a lot of the cards plummet in price on the secondary market. I will wait quite a while before I buy some singles. Wizards will keep the presses rolling for MH3 just like MH2. Thank you for the video.

Spymaster land is awesome with unearth combos and any unblockable creature.
Marionette apprentice is a really strong card. I have lost so many games to her big sister that I am truly scared of this card.

Amped Raptor goes until you hit any nonland, so you CAN hit a spell that is too expensive to cast (unless your entire deck is cmc
Yeah, I had the same thought. But he did say "if you've built your deck right"...so assuming he's saying your whole deck is 2 or less.

The fact that the marionette apprentice turns treasure tokens into damage seems unreasonably good. I have to imagine there are decks that naturally produce clue/treasure tokens that gain a win condition just by adding the apprentice...

I have a mono black Madness deck for Modern and Spymaster's Vault will slot in nicely.
So many cool new cards. Spymaster's Vault seems busted in a sacrifice/mono black deck. Phlage looks dope too. Being a control player, I gotta love Wrath the Skies too... I used to know 97% of all cards printed in Magic. A set only every 3-4 months was easy to keep track of and time to memorize all the cards. Once they started doing the modern sets, timeless and Historic with drops every month, I just stopped caring to watch anything not Standard. Kinda sad where they took Magic honestly. Love the content from another old guy who grew up in the South lol

I mean competitively did I play extended? No but back in 1999-2001 when your cards rotated and you weren't playing in a tournament you played extended so you could use your old cards.

A bit off-topic, but you press the three stripes (menu button) on the top left, third option should say "subscriptions". That's where you see all the videos people you're subbed to have uploaded, sorted by newest.
The bell is exclusively for channels that upload once in a blue moon and might be easy to miss; Epic Rap Battles, in my case. Nobody else.

What happens to the dual land when the spell is cast? Does it still exist as a mana source? Does it go to the graveyard after the spell is resolved?
I really want to go to the pre-release but it’s 650kr here in Sweden which I guess is like $60 and that just feels so heavy.
Wanna say MH2 was 50$ at pre release
It is €60-70 in the Netherlands (those are the prices of two LGS’s)
It's ridiculous how expensive it is and where I live they already have issues getting more than 15 people to prerelease

Even if they had basic land types, they wouldn't be fetchable since only the front side of a DFC matters when the card is anywhere other than the battlefield.

I dont think amped raptor works the way you think it works... it's not nearly as consistent or busted as you seem to think.
He said "if you build your deck right"...meaning you have all 2 CMC or less cards in the deck. Seems doable in Modern.
@@michaedove3562 His analysis seems to indicate he thinks it "goes until it finds mana value equal to your energy" or "energy you spent" rather than stopping at the first non-land card.

Hrm. Good question. I think it still allows you to play it down the road when you get enough energy to cast the card since it doesnt say "cast it until the end of...". Just says "you may cast this card by paying energy..."

It doesn't specify a duration, so you have to cast the card right away as part of the resolution of the ability. If you can't or choose not to, then yes, it's exiled forever.
