Hope you are all staying safe and healthy out there. Today I wanted to talk about the bizarre and spooky Anna Ecklund story. I always have mixed feelings about these types of stories, but i am also a chicken and get spooked easily by these types of stories. haha. I'm too scared to know the truth.

Sounds like she was sexually assaulted by someone in the church (most likely a priest) and she developed PTSD and possible other problems that caused her to lash out. Along with her mother passing, it just doesn't seem right
Bailey already said that the girl was possessed so going to a church wouldn’t feel right. She also mentioned that her father sexually abused and cursed her.
Agree. But I believe she was possessed. Floating and being able to speak language that she has no knowledge is very common to people whos under possession.

There was a case like this , abuse case actually, 10 or 12 years back , the girl was struck unconscious and was assaulted in a secluded forest area . They filed a case but since the girl hadn’t seen , the police couldn’t identify . But the girl would get violently sick and nauseous while passing by a wood working shop and threw up at the smell of wood dust , which led the police to investigate this detail further and arrested the abuser who was a wood worker at the shop
Having watched more, the exorcisms they did on her as a child would definitely have imprinted on her and have been known to cause permanent psychological harm in and of themselves.
I am a born and raised Catholic, (boarding school, latin speaking, Nuns, and all) and this is suspicious

absolutely. I believe in ghosts and demons, but this seems like possibly disassociative identity disorder, mixed with religious trauma from possibly being abused in the church or by her father, a religious person.

@@saulgoodperson Even if he was honest, it might be that his brain prodused such a vision and it was not what he really saw. It happens with mentaly healthy people, it's misperception of reality, not a hallucination. When people are very terrified or exited, their perseption can become disorted.

There is no question in my mind that this girl was sexually abused and her behaviors were trauma responses. How heartbreaking that she didn't get the help she actually needed. 😢

Fun fact: back in the day in New Orleans, they didn’t have funeral processions but instead funeral goers would take different indirect routes to the cemetery to create what they called “spirit confusion” so bad spirits couldn’t follow them. Thought of this when you mentioned one of the reasons for having the second exorcism far away was to “confuse” the demon.
Here in the Philippines we have a similar thing. We have processions but if we visit the wake or are on the way home from a procession, we would go visit some place we would not normally go to. We call it "pagpag" which means to "dust off" or "shake off"

I feel like a lot of these old "possession" stories are mentally ill people with things like Schizophrenia or DID, and the people involved exaggerate the stories to seem more impressive.
Not only to be impressive - I feel like they did terrible things to those mentally ill people during exorcisms (out of fear, probably) and later needed to legitimize the wounds on that persons body. "she would fly across the room and smack against the walls" sure sounds a lot more innocent than "we beat a mentally ill person down for screaming obscenities"

It's sad to think but it's a possibility it was both a church member, even the priest or whoever runs the church, and her father. I feel bad for her either way living practically most of her life in such a way

I find it really interesting that her first step is to do her eyes, even before her foundation. I don't know much about makeup, but I feel like it's not very common.
I do my eyes first bc sometimes eyeshadow gets messy because of fallout and such! It’s a lot easier to do my eyes first then clean everything up with foundation and concealer
