Daniel, since I was 16 you were and still will always be my favorite Poker player of all time! Thanks so much for these awesome videos! Keep it up man.
Daniel, thank you for taking the time to make these videos, yours are without a doubt some of the best out there. I've read many books, watch countless videos to continuously improve my game, and you're so spot on with everything you cover.
Hey Daniel, I found your channel the other day I have been watching you endlessly for the past say 4 weeks on other channels, and just realised you had a personal channel, but I thought it was abandoned, good to see you back buddy! You have made me feel a lot better about poker with a personality and attitude like yours on and off the tables... Keep it up, I would love to see a video on bluffing if you can explain when to bluff, if you should bluff, how often etc, obviously this is very dependant on who you play. Ive read your power Hold'em book and play small ball, although I am a little confused because at first it comes off as a very fluffy strategy but every now and then you remind us in the book that you don't bluff too much, sorry for the long post but would love to hear from you!
G'day Daniel, I love your energy and attitude.. Poker and in life. Your channel is awesome and your advice has HUGELY improved my game (and my bankroll!!).. So, Cheers mate, we love ya Down Under!!..
Thanks for taking the time to share and help Daniel, really apriecieate it, hopefully i will be sitting next to you at the WSOP main event :) would love that ,its my first WSOP
I play poker in a league every Monday and I swear these come out just in time for me to listen to before the 8 o'clock deal. thanks Daniel, I always feel that I start better when I've had a dose of negreanu before I buy in :)
It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on "big stack" hand ranges right after the bubble has burst, taking into consideration the fact that a good proportion of the field will be relieved to have just cashed, while others may be looking to nit up and ladder as much as possible. What's the best way to exploit these players? Do you keep the pressure on or tighten up a bit and be more selective?
An awesome concept! (I'm typing this out in order to help me remember it.) The idea that extending bubble time is adventitious to the big stacks. Like many good ideas, it seems obvious now that it's pointed out to me, but I hadn't thought about it that way. The ITM concept that these 12 BBs are worth less to me, with a 45BB stack, than they are to the 12BB stack is not as relevant right on the bubble, because ending the bubble also ends my gravy train. Thanks, DNeg!
Ty for your advice, the first part of video was obvious for me, but on 2.15 i really learn something new. The main thing is when you have big stack you need to exploit the situation. This is really good advice, ty. Sorry for my English
If you are at the very line of the bubble, tables are playing hand by hand, and you only have 4 or 5 big blinds when someone else raises you all-in, and you wake up with pocket Aces, is it correct to fold the pocket Aces and wait for someone else to bust?
i would love to know what you think about micro stakes....i mean is any kind of strategy even relevant with stakes that low? would you handle a .50 cent tournament the same as a 10k tournament?
Thx Daniel! OK lesson learned: Don´t go loco with a big stack. But how´s the bubble play when you got a below average stack. Not super short, neither a comfort zone stack.Wait and pray to make it into the money and hoping that the super shorties burst the bubble?
I have been playing poker on Zynga for about 6 months now. Started watching poker on youtube a few months ago and love Daniels poker skill and personality in general. He is always in a good mood and respectful toward other players. On a side note, I played my first cash game in Stockton CA two weeks ago and walked away with $930. Went to Twin Pine Casino last Friday and got the guys there for $826. I started both games with $100. I don't know if i just got lucky or I have some skill playing. Let me know what you guys thing, is that good for a guy who only played two cash games in his life? Or did i just get lucky?
Daniel, you're my absolute idol! Such a great authentic guy, I wish we'd play on the same table one day. I'm also a vegan and aspiring poker pro :P keep up the great work Daniel!
Can you make a videa on how to play AK? Suited or not, just how to play vs multiple players, facing re-raise, post flop etc. I find it to be a tricky hand to play!
Thanks for covering how to play with a big stack, but can you put an other video that explains how the shortest stack in the bubble must play in order to finish first? I always end up making in the bubble with a few blinds, but i rarely make it in the top 10 in online tournaments
prololipop The short stack game is mathematically solved, you can look up ranges on the net. Basically, you push when your hand is good enough and hope to win. There's no room for any other kind of skill when you're down to your last few blinds as you have no room for manoeuvre postflop. Really you should work on your early and mid-game so you get to the bubble with a healthier stack. Might you be too focussed on survival to build the stack you need to get to a final table in good shape?
Hm interesting, I pretty much know the correct range to shove, but I like the idea that I need to improve the early stage game. I think playing too tight is the problem here. I still hoped that Daniel would talk about it.
Need some help here... 7 people left with 6 making the money.. Average stack was 5-7 blinds(hyper) and i was chip leader with 18 bigs.. Everybody was shoving one time each hand and everybody was folding.. So their stack stayed the same.. Whenever i was raising (medium hand) somebody re raised all in and i had to fold.. Came down to this.. I was the small blind with A10 off and 17 big blinds stack.. Big blind had 6 bigs stack.. I shoved he called with KQ.. I lost that one.. Two hands later the leader open shoved 15 bb with KK and i i called with AK.. Lost again and ended up being the bubble.. My question is this.. Did i approach the game wrong or just got unlucky.. By the way this happened two times in 2 days same exact scenario.. Am i doing something wrong?
Is enticing the small stacks to go all in by going all in with a decent hand a good play on the bubble? Say I have 90 BBs and two players have below 10 BBs when they're in the blinds. Good play or no?
Its so true about targeting the small stacks but I like to gamble and figure its them flipping and me freeroling but yeah those small losses to a big stack end up really screwing me. NV - nice vid
I want the same primarily being cash games player myself... but I'm not sure Negreanu is the right guy you should take advice from for cash games, he is a beast in tournaments, but not really that successful in cash games
Daniel Negreanu You're thinking of Hellmuth dude. He's a great tournament player that hasn't been nearly as successful in cash. I know there isn't as much poker on TV anymore, but have you ever seen Negreanu play cash? He clearly understands the differences and adjustments between cash and tournament games.
Daniel Negreanu Cool then ! Well, since you play mixed games, how about you do some PLO, PLO8 and/or Stud videos focusing on cash games aspects of it ? I, and many other players I know, transitioned from NL to PLO, any advice from a man who won WCOOP HORSE event would be much appreciated ! Many youtubers now discuss NL game, and rarely anyone talks about other games, there's an empty space waiting from someone to do that !
Fuck outtaaaaaa out of here nobody cares about those games he's talking about NL tounrys and be happy he is even giving you that he's putting out great shit for you donkeys I'm 26 a career guy now but when I was playing I played like daniels style only thing I'm hating on is he doesn't talk about the darkside of the poker world
Daniel Negreanu as in after Blom was reraised on the flop and Blom give up?? I mean it's obvious he should. but what is he thinking that his opponent doesn't have an ace especially 4 betting on the button. especially someone as successful as Blom is. albeit on the Internet
I see a lot of players playing too conservative with small stacks on the bubble, like just calling a raise with AK,AQ, these are spots that is too good to play 'tranquilo'.
hey Daniel, I was the ass to talk shit about you playing the trooper route in vloging. . I wanted to say (I) we need more daily videos of your every day to day life. people would love it. also maybe do episodes where you stake low cash players for decent tournaments and let us watch what happens. you'll get the views for sure.
You don't go crazy but you can try and lead out and take some of the blinds if you understand the player(s) is tight and wants to survive to the money. Also understand during the bubble or just for short stacks that many are playing with a tight range consisting of premium cards so when they push all in consider your cards, the player image and make decision on the cards not just small stack v. big stack.
Hi Daniel, I like to exchange a coaching with you, you coach me in NLH and I coach YOU in Spanish, so you will be able to make jokes to latinamericans players more often too. So, what do you think about it?
“Bubble play,” coincidentally, is also the most frequently searched term in Daniel’s internet browser history.
Daniel, since I was 16 you were and still will always be my favorite Poker player of all time! Thanks so much for these awesome videos! Keep it up man.
"PC, that's what's up." Daniel Negreanu, 2017.

Daniel, thank you for taking the time to make these videos, yours are without a doubt some of the best out there. I've read many books, watch countless videos to continuously improve my game, and you're so spot on with everything you cover.

Thx Daniel! OK lesson learned: Don´t go loco with a big stack.
But how´s the bubble play when you got a below average stack.
Not super short, neither a comfort zone stack.Wait and pray to make it into the money

hi Daniel , can you give us tips how to play as a short stack in Tournaments or Sit and Go?
-greetings
Would your approach differ with your new school approach?
From "Kid Poker" to "Professor Poker"... I'm pleased.

Two games don't mean anything, probably luck or getting matched with amateurs
Daniel, you're my absolute idol! Such a great authentic guy, I wish we'd play on the same table one day. I'm also a vegan and aspiring poker pro :P keep up the great work Daniel!

This is only assuming you are the big stack, can you make a video on how to play with a small stack or the shortest stack at that?

Ok that makes sense. Thanks for the reply Daniel.
I reached the bubble yesterday at an MTT being the shortest stack at my table but in the middle overall.
