- A motorcycle accident left Aaron Yeo paralyzed in all four limbs at 26, but he's since found a new purpose in mouth painting.
How long did it take for him to accept his circumstances? Where does someone learn such a niche skill? And how did he end up representing Singapore in table tennis along the way???

The person teaching the wheelie is an Occupational therapist! We are allied health professionals and work together with speech therapists, dieticians, physiotherapist etc to aid our patients in recovery.
Occupation = activities that people do on a daily basis and/or activities that are meaningful and purpose to life. That includes eating, bathing, dressing, getting around the home/city, using the wheelchair, prescribing wheelchairs, helping patients get back to work, helping patients get back to driving etc
In essence, we help patients overcome their physical disabilities or limitations by teaching them strategies/skills, modifying the environment, use of adaptive technology etc. Hope this helps!
I can empathise with Aaron. I slipped on my way to the toilet in school n broke my spinal cord C3 n C4 into two pieces, with C5 n C6 badly chipped. The half pieces of C3 n C4 were taken out n the other halves remained in me. This accident landed me on wheelchair for 5 n half years, but after 1.5 yrs of physio n pushing myself to exercise daily n now I’m able to walk slow n steady, but will never be 100% recovery. Grateful to God’s grace n mercy. 🙏
I feel so much for Aaron. Stay strong 💪
Disable does not means Unable.
He is an amazing person. Can’t imagine the amount of pain he went through, very inspirational!
It is painful because really, one can hope for miracles but it takes a few years of acceptance that this is a new reality. Especially when you see your muscle wasting
😢
