This is my FIRST Gig Log people! Let me know if I should do more!
Yes - please 🤝🔥
FIREEEEE!!!!!!!
Please yes
Absolutely loved this Nick! Looked great and mixing on point 👏👏
Yes!!! Do more!!! Just to show everyone how it’s really done!! We have similar sets!! Waste no time!! Waste to talent!!
Enjoyed this vid bro ima get home and practice tonight!!! Just to get a mix in!!
Love it! Dude! You can fuckin' mix!!! Makes me want to practice!
Been at this for over 25 years and was actually thinking of hanging up the headphones. This video (and most of your videos) gave me excitement of getting back out there. More gig logs would be awesome!
This means a lot Matt, thank you. Do NOT hang it up!!
Yea I gotta get to practicing some more that was some good shit.
He is the reason why I haven't sell my rane 12s
Do not hang up!!! Evolve around it!
Good stuff Dj Nick!’ Love the vlog
One of the best gig logs I’ve seen….I have been anticipating this for a while now and it did not disappoint! Excellent work! Keep ‘em coming!! 👏🏼🙌🏼🔥🔥🔥
Nick, you are by far one of the best wedding DJ's I've heard - straight up. Big inspiration. Keep up the awesome work.
Nick, thanks for sharing all your great content. As a long time wedding and banquet performer, first as a drummer for a band and then as a DJ, I am getting back into DJing for parties and banquets. Getting a feel for what other pros like yourself do really help me formulate a plan and system to get back into this market. Really appreciate you.
This was sick. I'm not a DJ, I'm a musician but my dad is a dj and recently getting into it. You did an amazing job, dressed well and very professional
I’m a DJ/ musician
This is really great, Nick! I especially enjoyed the footage of your mixing.
Dude this is absolutley epic! Your mixes are tight and your personality shows. I just got into wedding djing and this is goals. Going to keep following for sure!
Freakin loved it man! You actually pulled out a combo I have I use on occasion there at the beginning! I got a very 2010-2015 vibe wedding this weekend and I’m definitely using some of this for inspiration. As usual a GOAT and an inspiration to us newer guys to the wedding scene!
Right on, Nick. That's a LOT of talent and craft expertise happening all at once. I hope people also appreciate how the size of the dance floor and your staging added to the energy you were creating. When the B&G get into the mix and you've got full participation from the wedding party, (including double fisting their bottles @ 16:11) the magic ensues. Bravo, my friend. Keep raising the bar for both the entertainment itself and the post production on social. You've unleashed a new breed of special event content and it's great to see people recognizing your efforts. Continued success! -m
What a special treat to see all of that! Thank you for making and posting! Please make more!!
I am a dj… I stumbled on this video & I have to say your set was flawless! Great open format set, scratching AND transitions. Solid mix.
The indicator - when the wedding is over and you have ties off and shirts open, you know you’ve done well. Bravo.
Crazy Bro. Was just sending this to you in whatsapp and scrolled down and pow.
@@djbiggblitz I rarely comment! He killed!
Awesome stuff Nick. Mixing on point as always and loved the in and out flow of of songs. Keep'em coming bro...
Kick ass job dude!!!
As an aspiring DJ myself, this was very eye opening because a few of my friends have asked me to play their weddings in the future.
Thank you Nick!!!
Probably the best wedding DJ i've ever seen!! Hats of to ya mate, you did an amazing job!!!
I love the information. I am breaking into the wedding dj scene and really need this guidance. I was blown away by your song choices and transitions. I am going to try and replicate these. I dj'ed back in the 80's and using music to speak to the crowd was my favorite thing to do. love your content
This was an amazing video man. So entertainment and the mixing and flow of the night was on point. This makes me want to go practice a set right now!!!
Great job on keeping the V-log fresh with the format. Second those were some power mixes! nice work as always!
Thank you for the tips, information and sneak peek into the life/work of a DJ. This was another great video and I must say, the mixes at the reception were incredible🔥🔥🔥 I'm in what can be considered the preliminary stages of my journey behind the wheels. I found your channel yesterday and started following. Thanks for all that you do here🙏🏾
The absolute best mixing gig log I've ever seen and I watch a lot and follow a lot. Very inspiring! Please do more! Thank you!
Can you please do more of these? This is such a cool and engaging way to recap nights.
I appreciate this video. Very entertaining and enjoyed the commentary. I imagine it is hard to make a gig log and not make it a cookie cutter one. Definitely go your path with these and make however Nick Spinelli would do it, lol
Really enjoyed that bro - Amazing work.
More of these gig logs would be great if possible, thanks for all your videos and tips 🙏🙏🙏
What a rewarding job you have Nick. Imagine all the couples who will remember you forever. I bet they each have moments they cherish when you dropped that one song that's tied into the memory
1st Gig Log!?!? No way bro! lol
You're a natural my friend, straight up living the DREAM!
Anyhow, the DJ Gig Logs gotta be a regular thing... straight up awesome and definitely a learning tool for anyone out there still trying to jump into the wedding biss.
Keep pumping them out bro!
Nick I’ve been doing wedding for over 30 years and can honestly say you rocked it.
Good job well done!
I agree! You put so much attention, care and effort into every detail from the em-ing (which I don’t do at weddings I just play the tunes), to your equipment set up with the turntables and high end booth finish (compared to my stock standard wedding set ups with black carpeted dj booth). A class for effort. As a wedding dj if I was at this wedding I would’ve come up to u at the end (and not during your set) and big upped you for all the stuff I mentioned above
One of the best gig logs ever. I love everything you included. Keep them coming for your cajun boy in Louisiana.
Dude I’ve following you for a few months now and this is the first time I get to see a little bit of your mixing and it was awesome!! Keep it up super insightful
DUDE!!!! That was nothing short of AMAZING! My wife and I watch your videos all the time and I had a feeling you were a good DJ but I didn't know it was gonna be the best I have seen. I have been djing since 2007 and have been a huge fan of djing way before that and I have to say that is some of the best djing I have ever seen. Keep the gig logs coming, go live, or do them on Twitch something.
Thank you bro that means a lot 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Man I’ve been waiting for you to post a gig log! I like how you did this a lil different than most. Commentating your gig log was a pretty gud idea 👍🏽 and I like how u kept it interesting 👌🏽 shout out to your editing skills 💯 More pls…. So Much More Pls 😎😎😎😎😂😂
Thank you SO SO much for posting this and your other videos! I subbed after watching just one of your vids, and seeing you in action was mesmerizing and pumped me up for my first gig when that day comes! About to get all of my equipment in and be on my journey! Much appreciation!
Love it!!! Can really feel the vibes you were sending. Amazing work!! When you love what you do it doesn't even feel like working
16:10 the whole crowd adapting to the change of music. Seriously the whole video was so fun to watch! Thanks a lot for all the effort you put into it. You sir have an amazing energy and really know ur skills on the tables. Im looking forward to one day become as good as you are.
Greetings form Germany!
What is that song?? I can’t find it but I swore it sounds just like Griz or big gigantic
@@ragecallihan6079 was worth the scroll, but sharing so no one else has to scroll into the abyss of comments - Theif - Ookay
I watch alot of DJ video's, always looking to improve. When I started out in this venture, I was intimidated by some of the DJ's around in my Cleveland OH. area. I'm talking about the bigger companies, I would notice what equipment they used. (not always new or great stuff)
I then set out on a mission years ago to abandon most of my beginner stuff and replace it with what I call middle of the road equipment. I now own overkill of Electro Voice
(4) EKX 15p
(4) EKX 18p Subs and no I don't use all of them at the same time, just depends on the venue.
I also went overboard with an array of lighting equipment, including crank stands and trussing. (far to much to list here)
After watching what the trends are, I realize that its really about simple but effective uplighting
MC not a problem and know when to shut up, because its all about the Bride and Groom and their families and friends,
But I now realize after attending so many venues over the years that most of what I saw where DJ-s that didn't have the skill set to pull off actual effective mixing.
After watching so many video's I realize my weak area is Mixing and want to focus on that.
I loved this latest video and enjoyed the over the shoulder shots of you mixing.
Love the Blogs
Keep it coming
Keep doing your thing bro, you have a great mindset!
More of these Nick. You raised the bar .. wow 200 songs … you killed it dude … inspired me to be better and you Sir mastered the ceremony… kudos!
This is cool. You caught and capsuled the atmosphere of the night. Good job! Congratulations to the two.
This was a great Gig Log, I loved how you showed how you made the evening flow. I also like that you showed your transitions between songs as opposed to djs that just film different parts of the nights with a different song playing. Keep'em coming Nick.
Loved your mixing you’ve got serious skills! I’d love to see more gig logs. Great video as always
Thanks bro!
@@NickSpinelli Yeah agreed man, the amount that you showed of the set was good - not showing much of the songs, but rather the effect it had on the crowd. Plus it was great seeing your vinyl skills in action. Really good video!
They're dancing so hard your stage was shaking! I was never able to mix as good as you do! I am in awe.....
I would love to see the full playlist for this event. I am inspired every time I watch these videos. I wish I could work with you and you teach me.
I need to know how you did carry on my wayward son into move ya body.
FINALLY!! I've been frickin' waitin' for you to do one of these so I could see exactly what it is that you do and how it goes down. You're a damn good DJ! Love your style!
Ayyyy thanks man!!
@@NickSpinelli Hey,,Just callin' it as I see it,,,,hats off Sir. If you're ever in Montreal we gotta hook up. I'll show you and you Fiance around town! Peace!
I'm a bedroom DJ who mostly just messes around for fun with some traktor controllers. I find top 40 can be the hardest to mix smoothly, for a few reasons. You absolutely killed it. Even the really short transitions where you're basically just dropping it on the 1 with a little echo on the track going out or whatever, you make sound really really smooth. You killed it man, nice!
Thx Nick ! I´ve been doing weddings here in Europe for about 14 years and your vlog is very inspiring!! Amazing job from A to Z 👏🏼 Good way to label your crates, in my case, since I host various multicultural events, I use little emojis countries flags this helps me to quickly pick a track up from a previous event if my customers are from the same ethnicities per example
not gonna lie I love this! not asking for EVERY GIG but every now and then will be dope and great inside for us who haven't gone into the wedding business and want to.
THIS IS INSANELY HELPFUL FOR PEOPLE GETTING INTO DJ-ING!! Thank you for sharing and walking through everything so clearly and with flair!!!
Nick, I really enjoyed the giglog ! Thanks so much for sharing! Awesome work!
Used to be as hyped like you in my dj career early late 80’s to 90’s.. now i’’m 50 and almost getting bald😂 still appreciate DJ’s like you who knows how to read crowds..kudos!
Great video! I am living since 4 months in Canada. Actually, I was from Argentina and we usually start at 8:30PM the reception,
9:30 end of Reception, guest take their seat,
10:00 Entrance of groom and bride enter to party room. (First Dance) Electro, EDM, Electrolatino
10:30 First Dish
11:00 Vals first dance, parents etc, After that Latin pop music 40 top hits
11:45 Second dish
1: 15 Dance or show (Latin music reggaetton, cumbia)
2:00 dessert,
2:30 Dance or show
3:15 Cake
3:45 Dance music (cumbia, reggaetton, EDM) Everything to retain the party people
5:30 the end
That's an up for it crowd, they danced to such a wide range of styles of music with amazing enthusiasm!
Wow Nick That was cool . I never DJed a wedding ... This Gig log was cool helps me learn . The Wedding party and people had fun always you had the vibes energy with all 202 tracks you played .. Remixes and everything ..
Hahaha this was awesome. I really enjoyed this. felt like I was at the wedding lol please keep doing these!
This was great! Awesome Djing! I love the word play and transitions! (Going to borrow a couple of them, lol) Super clean setup as well. Please do more!!!
Very inspiring and helpful Nick, especially for DJ’s like me who have had a 20 year break from Club Djaying and need to transition into professional mobile work👍
this video put a smile on my face, just watching the energy of everyone there showed just how good you are.that crazy 202 just sounded mind blowing,
Can you please more video like this
This is definitely helpful for because I am planning on to get in the
djs business.
Thanks for this video again
Big fan keep do what you do.
I appreciate you again.
Incredibly helpful!!! Thanks so much. You are an absolute BEAST on the tables BTW!
Holy cow!! I saw your Yeah and Crazy in Love transition and I just did my first wedding last night and did a very similar transition after realizing they were in the same key with similar bpms!! It's cool to see the pro do something that I just did!!
I watched this video driving home this morning and I’m gave you the sub because your open set was straight 🔥! You Rocked that wedding. I live in the south but from Michigan. I loved how got in and out those tracks. The don’t like that in the south 🤦🏾♂️. Great Video!!!
The channel is fun. I enjoy your Twitch streams. This video is a reminder, you are a master of your craft, salute to you Nick. Great stuff. I'll be honest, I was taking notes on some of these. Great job.
Really appreciate your videos, I've found them to be really useful. I've been focused on mixing underground dance music since I started DJing, and only recently started doing Mobile DJ gigs. It's quite different to DJing in clubs, but I really enjoy it.
I'm developing a much better appreciation and knowledge of popular music, and really improving my technique. A foggy rave, bumping good Techno and House is my ideal place to DJ, but playing a great wedding set is way more challenging for me, so your videos are super valuable!
Bro that Mr Brightside mix into Saxophone was siccckk! 🔥🔥 need these tracks asap!
Yo - I’m impressed man! I started mixing and cutting about a year ago and I been watching you since. You do a great professional job. Well Done bro 💯
This is a great gig log Nick. Lots of great energy from the crowd. Superb mixing on the 1s and 2s. Definitely do more gig logs. Jesus would say that you should do more.
I have one more on the way for Jesus 🙌🏼
Killer show!🔥🔥way to control the crowd…NAILED IT bro! Luv the energy from the crowd, and the energy you gave with the music. A+ Excellent
As a club DJ you've given me a new respect for wedding / party DJs - well done man - wicked
Awesome! Yes do more. I am a beginner DJ and you got that music in your soul like I do! GO GO GO!!!!!
This guy is def the best wedding Dj. Such smooth open format mixing along with the client requests. Ya. Those transitions wow
Amazing mixes!!!! Can’t wait until the next gig log.
This was super dope you did the damn thang now that’s how you put in work this just made me realize the difference between djing and playing music I definitely am a music player but I’m great at it I keep it simple but actually djing is a whole other level a lot goes into it and my brain just don’t be keeping up all the time to get into it😂 salute brother!
good gig log bro. more intro clips please!! have a wedding in January really liked how you handled it. keep up the good work =)
This was awesome man 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 love the gig log damn you killed it!! Respect 📈📈📈📈
Yo Nick, I didn't realize how nice you are on the 1's n 2's. This was an amaze set you did. I enjoy watching your videos. Real nice. I'm a DJ and it's nice to see other DJ's rock the house!
I have so much respect for wedding djs. I did ONE and that was it for me. I went back to club and party mixing.
Wow! I love your videos as they are entertaining and insightful. Your mixing is badass. I need to practice more.
Dude you totally nailed it, the mix was tight and huge energy in that intro on the mic👏 👏 👏
Really like your style and presentation. I’ve been DJing awhile but always good to learn or even revive that it’s fun feeling like your music and set up make the party so much better
Hey Nick you just showed up and AWESOME VLOG!!!
I am a photographer/videographer, and you raised my goose bumps! You are a 1 man band! GOD BLESS...!!!🙏👍
Wooooooow This is freaking amazing, well done my friend well done and yes you should do more, I love it.
I’m a live musician of 37 years. I’ve been asked to do some DJing. This helped me a lot! Thank you.
New subscriber here…..I think I’ve binged watched all your videos in the last three days. Love your content Nick! Would love to see more gig logs from you.
PS-Still rolling from the previous comment “And the crowd goes mild!”
First time I saw a gig log from you....spectacular!!! I learned a lot and got great ideas...gotta watch more for sure. Best gig log out there for sure... Thanks again
Very well done, you killed it. Love the mixes and choice of music.
Dude iv been watching your videos for over a year now and iv never heard you mix for some reason. Damn son, that was a pretty dope set!! Taking notes 📝
yo I like your energy, you definitely know how to hype up the crowd.
🔥🔥🔥🔥 dude the energy!!! Flow of video and wedding and love the set up so clean
Your sets are amazing, technically brilliant - great job.
First GIG Log, WOW!!! You set the bar really high! I thoroughly enjoyed the video!
Loves this video man!! I’m a chicago dj and turntablist and your set was absolutely fire from what you recorded.
MAN AWESOME SKILLS! YES KEEP THE GIG LOGS COMING! 🤙🏼
I see all video you are awesome dj , how to make the crew crazy and the way take the control the party. Blessings
Bro your set and Djing at that wedding was fire you need to do more on this channel
Great video bro!!!! You did a amazing job on your mixes. Can you please make a more detailed video on your rack. I have been thinking of making one. I really like how you put yours together.
Love your personality and vibes man... Your setup is clean. I love that wood table set, and you had it on fire 🔥..
Amazing job what a crowd they didn't even want to eat after your set.🤣
What an incredible job 👍🏻. I was DJ at a wedding yesterday in Germany and his loads of fun. Thanks for inspiring me to become better.
Funny thing that you guys in the US think it is long to play music for 3 hours since in Germany we usually party between 9/10 pm and 2/3 or 4 am 😅 at weddings.
I’m a Dj and this is the first ever Dj vlog I ever watch until the end .. it was lovely
That was awesome!!! Definitely wanna be at that level of mixing.....im just starting out so i got a lot to learn.
Awesome 1st gig log, can't wait to watch the next one. :)
as a wedding dj..i loved the set up..the mixing and the way u kept the crowds up, deff. their song choice plays role ..still awesome job..looking forward to more videos..and tips. When i grow up(DJ wise)...i want to be like u Deff. will steal some choices lol..
