DJ Carlo Atendido I tried to mess with the ddj400 and my soundjust sounds too elementary, then I saw this and I’m like wow that is somehow doable and I’m trying to do the math and I’m like ok ima just get the new launchpad pro mk3 and see if I can create something nice. Lmaaaaaao
g chea A lot of what’s going on here is remixes/mashups, heavy use of effects and cueing, tactile scratching on vinyl, etc. Not saying this to diminish the set one bit (it’s fantastically done, creative, and highly entertaining!), but to point out that on some of the more entry level controllers can do all of this but it will take more practice and experience, not necessarily more expensive or different equipment. Not only you managed to learn all those skills, but you reached the point that you can do it live, in front of a huge crowd and still be relaxed and have fun while doing it. That´s something else. Ummm…. That was shocking. I’ve seen a few of your reviews and tutorials but damn… this set was amazing. DJs can battle and DJs can mix, but to do both and get the crowd to move and with a set like that is unheard of. Mixing genres and catering to different styles and under pressure like that and to execute like that is so bad ass. Your energy and enthusiasm for DJing is beyond most DJs. You can tell you love music. Filipino American here and when I saw that flag busted out, that was a different level of representing man… bad ass! Keep doing your thang. It was a masterpiece of song choice, scratching, being original, creative mixing, control and a true display for the art of DJing. I’ve been DJing since I was 5 took a break for a long time and came across your vids and made me get that itch, and this now has made me realize how much DJs/turntablisrs have evolved so much. The genius of this set is that i think the DJ had a little song for each of the Judges. I think. here's what I caught.
