    I've been looking all over youtube for videos like this. Surprisingly, there are none. Only this. So thank you very much for making this video. I'm ordering a similar relay right now to control my pool pump. Thanks!

      Glad I could help others out. The pump manufacturers wifo switches are expensive and not open source

    This is precisely what I need to start my conversion of my analog pool system -- starting with this timer! Thanks for the detailed video.

    One of my clients has this setup and we’re having issues getting it to connect with the app on his phone. Everything on the timer side works fine. Is this an issue with the app?

      Make sure to connect with 2.2Gz wifi. 5Gz wifi doesn’t support most wifi smart devices

    I have 2 pumps, one pump to circulate water and another that runs the Polaris cleaner. The circulation pump has to be on before the cleaner pump will run. Will this work for my setup? Would I need to buy 2 controllers? Thanks!

    • @BRichSolution
      @BRichSolution  Před rokem +1

      I think you would need 2 controllers as each rated for 30 Amps

    why didn't you show a picture of how the old timer was? - my old timer had 3 connections - white then black then red - this one has 4 connections - what do i hook up to what on the new one? is it white -empty-black-red?

    I have an analog timer dial switch that turns on my in ground spa (attached to pool) and it's in the exterior wall of my house next to my patio door with one of those clear retractable cover doors. The switch has failed and just stays on all the time. Could I replace that timer switch with one like this?

    • @BRichSolution
      @BRichSolution  Před rokem

      I believe so, is the timer 220v or 240v? if so then yes

    Does this work when you have a pool heater as well? I think that’s why I have another wire on load 1 and load 2.

    • @BRichSolution

      Is your spa heater above 30amps? If not and its 240V and 30amp breaker then buy a 2nd wifi timer like this one

    As other have implied or stated, video shows product being improperly installed. Yeah it works but I don't think it's to code and it's not safe, as others have commented
    I bought the relay becuase I have the exact same panel box and timer shown in this video. I paused on installing as it was not making sence to me. I'll now quote the manual
    "Question # 4 : Can I run l1 and l2 (240vac) through it (no neutral)?
    Answer : No, don't do that. Must be one "L" line +one "N" line. If your device is with 2 hots which is 120V for each, can't use this relay switch."
    The power supplied is clearly show in video as 2 hot 120V lines from a double breaker.
    I can see how it'll work, turn on pump and complete the circuit, however it's not rated to be used like this. I'm not willing to risk the liablity in something going wrong.

    Hi would like to know if i can use this with a pool pump and salt system. Both are 110v each and i have 2 20 amp breakers one for each. So i was thinking the both breakers get wired to the right and the both pool pump and salt get wired to the left. Will this work or it only support one 110v thing?

    • @BRichSolution

    Is your pump 220 volt. So you used this switch as as a 220 volt switch, amazon reviews say it won't work with 2 hot wires and no neutral wire but it seem to be working fine?

    • @BRichSolution
      @BRichSolution  Před 2 lety

      Single 220v wire, no neutral. I had red and black wire coming from the breaker. And then red & black out to pump

    • @hughelse9301
      @hughelse9301 Před 2 lety +1

      @@BRichSolution No neutral and a SINGLE 220V wire does not make sense. It either has to be two hot 110V wires (for 220v) or single 240 (as in Europe, not US and I am in US) AND a Neutral - no exceptions. Thank you very much for a quick response.

    • @rockwallcares5084
      @rockwallcares5084 Před rokem

      @@hughelse9301 There are two hot going in (black/red>black/red), neutral is always white. I imagine this works just like a switch only using the hot legs, the neutrals are tied together.....
      EDIT: Rewound the video and can see the neutrals are all connected on a bus bar to the left.

    You cannot install non-Intermatic controls into Intermatic panels as these panels are not regulatory listed or regulatory tested (CSA, UL, etc.) for use with these alternative controls. This is a code violation!

      The original analog timeomatic timer was wired the same as digital so how do they suggest wiring the Timeomatic with two 120VAC wires?
