    Synopsis:
    “It’s who you know.”
Through one of our best customers we were connected with a Midwestern investor who was preparing to purchase a strip mall. Like…the whole thing. 1 full day of inspections, 6 mechanical equipment locations, and 1 McDonalds stop later, we had a valuable report for him to make an educated buying decision. Always fun to see the inside of well-built, big-power commercial gear like this. Let us know if there’s anything we missed!
Laced within the technical instruction are recommendations and points of professionalism employed daily by Jefferson Electric masters, journeymen, & apprentices.

What do y'all think: 90% life still in this gear? What's the first thing that needs attention?

I was inspecting building equipment same as this video. Opened a 25kva transformer and there were two pairs of channel locks setting on top of the coil heat shielding. They jad to of been there for 20+ years! The handle grips had melted to the shielding. Crazy

I'm a little surprised by you lack of PPE. The rules for working in live boxes and MCC are different

Love the long form video! What's the saying? No electrical installation is without sin? You provide a great service to keep customers safe. I was impressed you didn't look to have what I find as the most common sin - electrical areas used as storage closet usually with combustibles in working space. I know you don't provide remediation on the inspection, but I'll put working space tape down as part of checking things out. The stuff you found notwithstanding, this looked like a fairly responsible customer, as corroborated by their decision to bring you in! (And I see that toughbuilt tool pouch, same as me... Klein ain't mine is fun, but there's a real world here too).

What’s going on with that big residential build series?

On my first day as an apprentice electrician in Germany I got shocked when I hit a damaged live cable with my pliers while touching a grounded metal door frame with my hand. Fortunately the RCD (I think GFCI in the US) tripped immediately and prevented any further complications, but I was awake for this day and very concentrated to my work even though it wasn't the only shock for the following years ;)

Yes it has been wet here in Ohio too. Trying to start a new house build and can't get some dry weather. I need to trench 400' for AES to run the primary down the road and can't dig with so much water.

Having the new guy open a transformer that’s energized on his first day with no PPE? WTH is wrong with you.

YAY ! New video. Either I've watched them all or the posts aren't as frequent.
00:34 I love Klein tools too. And I keep them clean. 02:50 I wasn't shocked on my first day, but I'll never forget how I felt after my first shock. And like most shocks, I did something stupid. Poking a non insulated screwdriver around in a circuit I "thought" was not energized. Welded that screwdriver to the electrical box. I would argue that I was electrocuted, but people say that if I survive I was shocked, not electrocuted. I disagreed. If they felt what I experienced there would have been no disagreement.
11:00 I love Dick Van Dyke too. My childhood was the opposite though. Mother and Dad had cable, so there was "Nick At Nite" it was called, and they ran the old shows. When I got older, I moved in with my Grandpa to take care of him. No cable, but "Diagnosis Murder" was on regular TV. We'd watch that and "Becker" When it was time for the show we'd say "The Doctor is in." No TV on demand back then either, and DVR was either unheard of or so new it was unaffordable.
    11:10 loved the "dad" jokes.
12:04 Why combustible rope ? Wouldn't it behoove those involved to use steel cable ? If not to be conductive a non conductive, non combustible implementation ?
15:26 I can always tell where someone has been that was not licensed, or should have not been licensed. I see stuff that's neat and right, I know someone who cares and knows what they're doing worked on it. When I see "violations" I know that someone incompetent messed with it.
15:50 Mint Mobile is good, unless you decide to go with someone else and keep your numbers. They will give you the runaround, fake information, and all kinds of nonsense. They did that to me. I had to write a very nasty letter, to the owner, and I finally got the information I NEEDED six months later, from the owner after I had already moved on. So they were okay, right up until the point they weren't, which made me want to switch, then that incident just added to it.
I am paying double with Cricket Wireless but if I have any problems, whatsoever, I can go into any Cricket store, get what I need and get on with life, rather than deal with shenanigans, malarkey, and all the monkey business that I experienced with Mint. Otherwise, they're good, and if it works for you, all the better. I'm not knocking them nor those that are desirous to used them. Just telling you my personal experiences. To be fair, this was 3 years ago, and my Mother just died too, so my fuse might have been short. But when met with that level of aggravation over something as simple as asking for the code to change carriers and the fakakta mishigas I went through, and still couldn't accomplish it... ? That was the final straw.
21:37 Aw... It's over. Hope you post more stuff more often in the future. Can't afford to do that Patreon stuff. At this point, I am lucky I am still on the Internet and wondering how long before it will have to go.
