Bro FINALLY got a RAM, this is the day I've been waiting for.
Edit: I bought my 2002 Ram 1500 from an older lady in Louisiana who's husband used the truck for painting, She was asked to sell it because he didn't need it anymore, When I took it home and changed the fluids, The oil was blacker than black.
Another Edit: $3.05/gal for 87? That's a Robbery, In my town, it's $2.70-$2.80/gal.

I fix head gaskets on equinoxes. I always do trans drain/fill for giggles. Asian af-33 trans. Easy to reach fill port with front head off.

dont forget to service the trans its not just the fluid you should be concerned with but old filters in the trans

I would also check the date codes on the tires so you know how hard you should push it until you figure out your plans with the truck. Also if you change things like headlights the ones on the sport package are different than non sport package trucks just a tip if you order new ones.

Whenever I buy a new vehicle I put seafoam in the tank and ALWAYS use 93 octane incase like you said it has been sitting for a while in the end it’s most def worth the extra $5-$10 😂😂
The check engine light could be from the octane booster all of are vehicles do that with octane booster

Bubba truck 100%. Stuff some 35 or even 37 mud grapps on stocks, level the front, get a color matched blue go light. Clear headlights. Would look so good

I put a 7-inch skyjacker lift. And 37 tires . painting on the gear ratio.. also I would look at the plenum gasket and see if it's blowed out if it is you'll start leaking oil into the intake and start losing oil .

I always use a full can of seafoam in fuel. It works wonders on the engine
Tip, you can hang the gas cap on the gas door.
Maybe you should just lower it a little and put some custom exhaust on it.

I’ve always liked that body style Ram. I’ve owned Ford and Chevy, I would like to own a Ram at some point, or a Tundra.
Turn the key on and off 3 times it goes through all your check engine codes that are on and it clears it for you .
i would do a trans service cause thats the weak link of that truck i had a red 97 ram 1500 and the trans went out cause the pump went out inside the trans caused the trans to overheat and yeet the reverse gear out of it do not sleep on the trans service it needs done before 200,000 miles thats when mine broke engines strong not the trans

Welp I owned my 5.9 ram for 3 weeks now I have drove it just around the year a little and crunk it up every now and then and watched cleetus vid last week and yesterday I crunk it up and blue smoke showed up and I have no oil pressure
