The Epic Mickey remake is probably the most excited I've been for a remake in a long time. As someone who knows a lot about the history and development of the games and the scrapped third game and spinoff, I really hope this game does well so maybe they can finally finish out the story after all these years. This is my Pikmin 4 and I'm excited.

It could really use an FF7-esque 'Completely new game' remake imo, the idea has a lot of potential, but none of the games really did it that well. Doesn't look like that's what this is, but, hopefully it improves some things at the very least.
what annoys me are the people disregarding gundam breaker 4, the first gundam breaker game to hit globally, actual competition for armored core, in favor of epic mickey, a mere remake.
actually I change my mind, I don't blame you all, I blame bandai and nintendo, for showing that watered down commentary bit instead of the actual announcement trailer with the mobile armor bossfights, the combos, the super mode transformation states, and etc, with the back-on song rebreak in the background, its way more hype and if you watched that I'd guarantee you'd change your mind about the game not being hype enough.

Epic Mickey was one of my favorites growing up, and I'm hoping the remake can drum up interest in that third game we never got. I'm also looking forward to the Endless Ocean: Luminous. Ever since Game Grumps played Endless Ocean 2, I've had a soft spot for the series.
EO has me hyped to.
I liked the 3DS 2D platformer they made. It’s main downside was it was on the short side, movements was a bit slow and floaty, and it was super easy. Would love another platformer in that style with more fluid fast controls.

My ultimate thing here is epic mickey - I loved this game as a kid, I hope they manage to improve the mechanics of it. It does look like a big improvement at least graphically.
I'd def watch a Vanilla Elden Ring "get to the DLC" stream! Especially if you did somethin a little different, any sort of odd build, maybe themed around a specific weapon or mechanic.
Arlo just casually reveals he didn't realize the new game additions shown for Nintendo Switch Online were virtually all Rareware games. It's bigger than he realizes, since it seems to indicate Nintendo and Microsoft have come to an agreement to let Rare's old Nintendo platform stuff come to NSO. Which means we're likely gonna get the second half of the N64's library that is worth playing the console for.
Either that, or if he does know he's not a big Rareware guy in general... still, I also get that it would probably have veen a bigger deal if it was DK64, or a Banjo game or Diddy Kong Racing. Blast Corps IS easily Rare's least acknowledged game overall, so I'm not that surprised people don't make the connection.

The fact Epic Mickey is coming to all the other consoles as well does give me some hope for fixing the kinks.
I was so pleasantly surprised to see Ender Lilies is getting a sequel!! I just played the first game a few months ago, and ended up really loving the world building, the art, and the music. It’s a game that I keep thinking about, so I can’t wait to see how the next story unfolds!
SAAAME! The original had such a good mix of relaxing and spine tingling ambience going on and I loved the experience (still occasionally revisit the OST from time to time) so seeing a sequel pop out of the blue like that already made this a great showcase for me!
Epic Mickey is being done by Purple Lamp who did the remake of Battle for Bikini Bottom and Spingebob Cosmic Shake so I have a feeling it’s a remake that stays close to the game. They did confirm Mickey can dash, sprint and ground pound which he could not do in the original game. Warren Spector who created the game has been brought as a consultant that will help them out on the game

I called the entrance being in mohg's arena. Me and my buddy were flipping out. I had even said, "I bet miquella's arm grabs you and pulls you into the DLC." So cool. First time I've ever predicted something like that.
Low key excited for the new Endless Ocean game. Played the original game on the Wii and it was so relaxing. I need it more than ever in my mid 30’s. Being old sucks.

Being old does not suck. It has lots of advantages. But I guess it all depends on your personal perspective, how much effort you put into making your life fulfilling, and how well you take the negative aspects of life in stride. Make the most of your life, kids. Don't spend it sulking.

The first was one of my favorite games at 14. Mostly because 1. Atmosphere like no other, 2. I love the sea, and 3. My broke land-locked ass wasn't going scuba diving anytime soon, so give me the next best thing.

used to play endless ocean: blue world for about 1000 hours as a kid so the new one is unironically the best announcement possible other then the ttyd announcement which can't be beat :p

I remember loving Epic Mickey as a kid. I remember really loving the dark vibe of it, but I haven’t even seen the game since i was a kid, so I’m pretty excited about re experiencing it.
Another Crab's Treasure actually hasn't released on any platforms yet - it's releasing in April!

Endless Ocean is hella underappreciated. First, for a Wii game, it was stunning to look at. Second, the story was heartwarming. It's also a completionists wet dream. You can spend hours and not notice a single rusty coin on the bottom of the ocean floor.
As someone who has been wanting to play Battlefront splitscreen for ages, this direct made my day!

I pre-ordered it as soon as I saw it existed! So excited for those games, they are my childhood.
For my household, Battle toads is a big win.
Now whole new generations can experience the pleasure of accidentally hitting their friend in co-op, their friend killing them in retaliation, them killing their friend in further retaliation, accidentally dying a second time to enemies in the process, coming to a truce, only to realize you only get 3 lives. All without even having to figure out how to set up a NES emulator.

Monkeyball made this direct for me, but Grounded becoming multi console (idk if thats the right term but whatever) is also amazing because more people need to play it (including you if you haven't). Every other announcement was just another cherry to add on to this immaculate sundae.

With starting a new file, Elden ring takes about 20-30 ish minutes to grab everything you want for your build, so its not to much of a problem

I’d absolutely love if you streamed Elden Ring from the beginning. I’m looking to start a fresh file myself, so it’d be nice to see as a refresher.
Part of me was expecting the Penny shadow drop tbh but I didn’t wanna get my hopes up. All of the devs’ uploads (primarily great music tracks) consistently listed an early 2024 release in their descriptions so when rumors were floating around about a Direct, I remembered there are only so many months in the year that realistically qualify as “early” so it had to have been soon they’d give us a date. I was at least real confident in its appearance at all considering it was also first revealed in a Direct, but was still pretty shocked by the guts to just push it out so yeah that TODAY made me do a little jig

The fact that Shadow of the Erdtree is priced at $40 suggests it's gonna be _massive,_ and I can't wait. That fight with Messmer the Impaler looks like it's gonna be nasty!

When I saw the rareware logo I got my hopes up that we might see a Rare Replay on Switch. Would be great to have one that could include the Donkey Kong games that weren't in the Xbox version.
Surprised by your lack of Blast Corps acknowledgment. I feel like you’d appreciate that game. Definitely a top N64 game for me.
I feel like Blast Corps is one of Rare's least acknowledged games in general, partially because it doesn't really have like...a CHARACTER that helps it stand out. James Bond, Banjo and Kazooie, freaking Donkey Kong... even Jet Force Gemini had the main leads AND a gun-toting dog. Blast Corps is more concept than character-driven, so I feel it was easier for it to fall by the wayside. Just means you gotta do more to hype people up and show them what they're missing!

Arlo, I can’t explain the absolute therapy just listening to you is. I absolutely loved the Direct for it being a Partner Showcase. Epic Mickey is huge for me, and Another Crab’s Treasure, Pepper Grinder, and Monster Hunter Stories are instant buys for me too

After Arlo did his persona video, I’m kinda really hoping he checks out SMT V with the new version coming out. That game really does feel like a darker take on Pokémon made by people who really understand how to make turn based elemental weaknesses fun and interesting

I'm SO excited for Fantasy life 2 - if you do choose to play it, I'd love to hear your thoughts! I'm a bit worried about the October date, given the number of people predicting that the next Switch will be out around then. The previous game also ended up being overlooked because it came out so late on the 3DS and I really don't want the same thing to happen again. The Snufkin game looks amazing too, but I don't think they're doing a physical so I'll probably get it on Steam instead.
