Jimmy was there to keep a solid rhythm going on the guitar gotta respect the rhythm guy
Hey America, this is a great example of diversity at its best.
Just WOW !!! I'm a huge Billy Gibbons fan, great to see Jimmie Vaughn on stage as well!! Tedeschi Trucks Band hits on all cylinders--- incredibly tight group !!!
No greed here, seems like every kinda artist they need, they get them, costs a lot of money to keep a group like that on the road AND off the road, but Susan and Derek don't compromise.
This is a brilliant tight unit, love them. 👏👏❤️
One of the best live band in the world!
No, it’s the best live band in the entire world.
I totally agree. They give me hope for the future of music. ✌️❤️🌼@@robvanscheijndel
@@DH-xm3hcold people playing old music for other old people, I'm glad you have hope but this is not the future of music. This is one of the last big touring bands like this we will see. I imagine TTB will be the last ones standing.
Yes, love this band so much! I saw the film of their epic gig at the Jazz/blues festival of Vienne, in southern France (July 4, 2014) when it aired on TV the next year - had nevr heard of them before but I knew on sight that this was a unique band, the kind that comes along once in a generation! That show has been rebroadcast on TV (the Mezzo channel) several times and is also uploaded to CZcams. I can't recommend it highly enough, it's a testament to the wealth of talent in the band and their ability to pull it off as a seamless unit.
They are in some sense the missing link between several legendary 1960s/70s acts and genres - The Band, Derek and the Dominoes, Allman Brothers Band of course, The Crusaders, soul legends like Curtis Mayfield, Wilson Pickett and Dionne Warwick; soul, funk, country, southern rock and blues - but they are alive and working here and now, and of course putting a huge chunk of their own into the stew. Fantastic band! 💗
@@jerbear7952think I get your point but these guys are still writing and recording original music and they continue to sell, out wherever they play, and not just to old folks. True they’ll never be mainstream but am hopeful they’ll inspire new musos to take up the baton and run with it against the tide of so much over produced studio pap 🙏🤷♂️
I heard Freddie King play that at the Armadillo HQ. backs in the early/mid 1970s. Gave me chills, as does this version. Great musicians and artists all around. Thanks for posting.
Heck dude, since you saw the blues legend Freddie King do his song, that must have been something!!!
Woulda thought the crowd would have been more alive for this one. Living legends on one stage, normally too much guitar but this sounds just right.
My thoughts also! Not a huge ZZ Top fan but Jimmie, Derek & Susan I have seen several times. Props to D & S for merging their bands together several years ago. I miss Kofi’s musicianship and infectious smile. The world was a better place with him in it.
Agreed, Kofi gone way too soon.
Pretty good take-
Aint nobody got it over
MR FREDDIE KING RIP
Watched Freddie King and his band play this live in Camden, London many years ago. The bass player nearly collapsed my lungs. Freddy was a skyscraper of a man. He had a huge following in the UK. Geat video, respect to Freddy.
Dig it, you got that right dude!
Susan's voice when she starts to just belt it out... Damn.
Let's not forget Jimmy Vaughn, he ain't chopped liver.
Just love this Band ! Derek and Susan have best rhythm section, best horn section, best backing vocals, Virtuoso guitar and Vocals, great guest artists and play the best music! Jax native too, so proud of all of you!
Billy n Jimmy both looked at Derek during his solo w/awe !!
Yeah, while the cameraman stayed on Billy just doing 4 to the bar….smh
@@bigl6322yeah it would have been nice to have some focus on Derek’s hands - I think you would need another camera from a different angle though.
@@awalls8122 I had an opportunity to attend a workshop with Derek at a blues festival in California when he was 21… amazing young man, I can listen to him all day… funny to watch the videos of him on stage with BB king and BB just fanboying like a big dog on Derek
Derek's in another league to Billy and Jimmy truth be told
@@donjohn2695 my feeling is Derek is one of the few in a class with SRV
Came across this band during lockdown, and stopped us from going insane. Really amazing amount of talent on the stage here.
Woah! A lot of talent on that stage.
You beat me to it👍👍👍
Even when Billy and Jimmy aren't on the stage
Yeah, ‘Wow’ lotta kit w/double timekeepers. Not much overkill, though?
If I ever become a king, I am having this band over for a party.
Musicality and groove at the highest level!
Perfectly said!
Yes, they seamlessly unite the sound of several vintage genres and bands (often from the 1960s/70s, the classic age of soul and southern rock) and merge it with their own sound. Truly the kind of band that comes along once in thirty years within a given genre.
Awesome to see Jimmie. 😎🎸🎸🎸.
Since he was a kid, everyone always seems to just love to play with Derek. Every great musician he’s played with, and there are ALOT(his love of collaborations with the greats is becoming legendary itself!!), all seem to love him. They all look at him with great admiration. I’m guessing he’s a real great person too ☺️
No matter who derek plays with, he always has the most full and thick tone. Everyone sounds thin compared to him.....its insane.
Also this video makes me wanna go to Texas
what a great song, great band! Thanks for posting, no one getting in the way of anyone else
Oh that was great! Off the great Freddy King Lp...fantastic and tight!
Great American Music,Thanks
I hope you don't mind us in Europe to find it great, too.
Great performance
Love it
Cant stop watching this
Susan is amazing
Long live Freddie !!!!
Foreverrrrr!
Susan ! Wow! Slay Queen!
Great tribute to Freddy. I think Leon Russel wrote that one for Freddy King. If I remember correctly. It was a huge hit in Texas and surrounding states. It’s been widely recorded by various artists.
Leon Russell wrote it with Don Nix, Donald Dunn and Freddy King. According to Google 🤣. Don Nix made a few albums, but all worth a listen.
@@fullschneider There's a great CD called "Going Down ~ The Songs of Don Nix" with some incredible players on it.
Bugs Henderson was mentored by Freddy King. I recommend looking him up. He was a Dallas guy too. Great guitar player. Freddy had influenced a lot of players. Eric Clapton said he knew how to play guitar b4 he met Freddy. But Freddy taught him how to make love to one. @@sammccue500
I heard it on an album by John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers.
Tedeschi is a righteous talent fellow babies.
Oh Man! How I wish I could have been at this show! Now this is it! I love the Tedeschi Trucks Band but Billy and Jimmie oh man oh man! 🎸👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🔥🔥🔥🙌🏾 This is what I needed today!
My favorite band that I still hope will come to my home country Bulgaria.
Music, sweet, sweet music. Like it's supposed to be!
I just love watching Ms. Tedeschi melt every time Mr. Trucks goes into a solo (because I certainly do too!)
Mrs.Trucks
What a line up ! Such talent !
Not taking away from the other talent on stage.. but Gibbons and Trucks are two of the best blues guitarist alive today !
Video with Gibbons playing with Jeff Beck and his band. 16 Tons. czcams.com/video/J2aqvKY6zLc/video.html
Susan's so good she made Dylan smile he's usually got a face like ripped dap.lol
She couldn't tie his shoe laces.
@@majorlaff8682 what I said was she put a smile on his face. Who's comparing her with Dylan. If you can't appreciate her talent say "fuck all the best".
Sounds Great ! Leslie West did a wonderful version of this song several years ago .
All these years and I have not heard of this band what gives? they are great.
I just discovered them a a few months ago. Mind continuously blown!
First time I ran into this band was sometime after I first heard angel from Montgomery. I'd heard John Prine and was looking for other songs that he wrote found this song recorded by Bonnie Raitt. The next time I looked it up I saw there was a cover by Tedeschi Trucks Band . There was no comparison I don't know her name but the lead female singer just blew away Bonnie Raitt. An incredible blues singer
@@ejohn8733 Her name is Susan Tedeschi. She is married to the phenomenal Derek Trucks on lead guitar. Susan had a solo career for years and Derek was in the Allman Brothers for a while until they thankfully decided to form a band together. Check out her early solo stuff. It's also amazing!
Saw them on TV in 2015 (a live gig from a jazz festival in France, filmed the year before) and knew on sight that this band was one of a kind. Priceless - when their debut album came out, one reviewer correctly stated that "Tedeschi and Trucks are now fronting the best soul/blues rock family revue band since Delaney & Bonnie".
@@ejohn8733Susan Tedeschi. She had her own band before she met Derek Trucks.
Man, that is very fine music, played by very fine people. 👍👍👍
Didn’t care for Billy’s tone, not his signature, but have loved his music since 1977, nice to see Jimmy playing always seems to be a class act has the style to be respected. And of course Derrek and Susan what can you say total respect love listening to anything they play. Thanks for posting and letting us enjoy this incredible talent love from Alaska
Freddie...My favorite KING!!!
ABSOLUTELY
Man, Derek and Susan are so locked in and the band is so tight. They're on another level. Major respect for Billy Gibbons but I kinda feel like he got shown.
The Reverend has forgotten more than the others will ever know.
Have Mercy! 😊@gotanycash
@@gotanycash Yeah but he DID get owned and worse he is out of tune. 👀
Billy has been having some hand issues for a while, what he can play sounds good
@@cuda426heminot a one of them up there has a song catalog like Billy, he could buy that band. How many hits have you wrote, zero, just like your respect…
Speachless, what! a performans. Hat off too susan:)
WOW talk about FUN 🎉 thanks for sharing.
Браво!!!❤ Vladivostok
Wow, A great sound! Reminds me a little of The Electric Flag. Rock on guys.
So good! I love how much Susan is loving every moment. And Derek finally doesn't look 12. Such an incredible band! And Billy.....
What a Band 🤗🤗 Susan, what a voice !! 💞💞
I can't see, Susan just melted my screen. 😍
Love that tedeschi plays just as well as those other guys on stage ,lol
Best version of Freddie Kings classic after his of course..
I Love to see Reverend enjoying himself with badass musicians...
Makes the hair on my arms stand up tall...................... WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
The rev was struggling with the chord movement
It's one of those cases if you ain't been there and found your way
You ain't gonna shine straight off the mark till you go
There's that groove there's those changes oh yeah I got this
Derek has and suze has noticed and taken note
It almost looked and sounded like Derek was trying to lead Billy there
Billy ain't young anymore
Those ears of his have heard a lot
That was a cluttered stage with a lot goin on
Give Billy good monitoring or stage sound and watch him shine
It's not the first time I've seen him struggle in someone else's camp
But he's there and doin his best with what he's got
Bless the rev
In his own realm when hes hearing good Billy is a force of nature
I've seen that many times
And been in awe
Those singers and band wow
Ive seen hundreds of concerts in my life, and every guitar god has his good and bad days, including Derek. Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix who are probably the greatest of all time are guilty of being out of tune and sloppy. Who cares. There music speaks in volume. Billy is nearing 75. What else does he have to prove. Do you know anyone at that age that isn't struggling with some form of arthritis. It sucks! And to be honest, Derek who's only in his early 40`s barely outperformed Billy. The concert was great, and all 4 players are awesome musicians in their own unique way. Gotta love the blues!
Great jam with great people!🎸🎸🎸🎸
Sensational ❤
Premium Tedeschi Trucks here.
Great close-up of Billy Gibbons strumming while Derek Trucks is wailing! The producer and director need to be flogged!
Любимата ми група, която, все още се надявам, да дойде в моята родна страна.
TROMBONE ENERGY! ✨💪
Have never heard a better cover of this than Popa Chubby's version on his debut album.
Amen to that... love Papa's version

Wow...just wow!
Miglior band in circolazione...!!!
Awesome!!! :)
Smoking good new music very excellent. Thanks thanks
Love it😊
that was fantastic man !!!!!
Thanks for sharing!
I'm trying to remember any time when a guest lead guitarist added anything to the mix. This certainly hasn't changed my mind. At least there's only one drummer.
Wat, here's an idea; two bass guitarists. That's gold.
wowzers !!!!!!!
Reverend Billy's playin' Lil Red! I wondered what he did with that beautiful SG.
WOW .... This was amazing. 👍
That was Fantastic 😊
Great example of passing the ball- letting a lot of people contribute.
Great 🎵
Excellent.
Rock and roll forever
Awesome
Todeschi uma mulher maravilhosa
Suzan też wymiata na gitarce 😊❤
I’ve got pictures I took around 1981 of Jimmy combing his pompadour backstage at Staches in Columbus, Oh. He didn’t like posing for the pictures but relented after much begging. Loved those Fab Thunderbirds!
Holy South!
