Joe B. and Larkin Poe are a big reason the 'blues' haven't died. They are doing good work!\
The blues will never die.
Amen
@@jameslomonaco5271
wow! have You got that wrong, The Blues live 4eva🤗❤✌
The thing that strikes me the most is how well Megan's lap vibrato matches the insanely great quality of Rebecca's voice. Chills, man.
Perhaps an innate sisterly (genetic) ability to predict each others’ “groove” (for lack of a better term). ☺️
Try the latest album with the song Bad Spell on it. I sincerely wish that they would do an album with Joe Bonamassa, though.
ahh , the "slide queen" even left Joe speechless! !
Love how their peers are quietly calling them the' Allman Sisters Band',now that's recognition right there
Those girls are badass! What a tone on that slide guitar...sounds like honey & tabasco on velvet!! ***Jeff Healey forever!!***
LightningDogg Jeff Healey FOREVER.
3:40 Had this video playing in the background, and this gave me whiplash to see WHAT and WHO is making that guitar sing - incredible! Cheers!
Honey AND Tobasco?? I'm gonna try that.
@@voxac30withstrat LoL
Hell yes Jeff Healy forever.
Best sister duo since Heart!
Followed by the MonaLisa Twins.
Rebecca doing an excellent job with the vocals with her sister and Joe what a great combination for this classic song.
Larkin Poe is quickly becoming a favorite.
Saw them in Sydney this month. They're very good - interact with the audience - great songs.
These dolls have been a favorite of mine for a minute now. So much sass and class.
These dolls have been a favorite of mine for a minute now. So much sass and class.
I was on this cruise and saw this show. I think Larkin Poe played with literally every other act at one time or another and vice versa. They were everywhere and they were beyond awesome. And I think they're as nice as they are talented. And IMO, Joe Bonamassa is a force of nature.
Wish i could have been there. Wow, that was good!
Great artists will seek opportunities like that and grow immensely as a result. Larkin Poe are phenomenal, and they deserve their success 100%!
A Force of Nature….my thoughts exactly. Good job Joe 🎉
I love the nod to the great Jeff Healey.
Thank You ladies.
Killer jam here!
The way blues artists work together and share the stage to play great music together is one of the attributes that make blues my favorite music. They really enjoy playing with other talented musicians and enjoy the music they play and do let egos get in the way.
Love the Jeff Healey shirt. RIP Jeff.
So glad they played with Joe
Even happier to see megan wearing a Jeff Healey T-shirt
Steve P so I was at Alpine Valley Music theater when Eric Clapton headlined with SRV and Robert Cray . They played two nights and I went the first night. The highlight of that night was Jeff Healey played with Clapton on Sunshine of Your Love. As you probably know Jeff would sit down. When it came time for the solo Eric went over and tapped Jeff on his shoulder. Jeff proceeded to tear into a phenomenal solo and stood up and just ripped it into another level. The crowd went wild . It was the best performance that night.
Tragically the second night is when the helicopter crashed with SRV on board as well as some of Clapton’s crew and manager I believe.
I was a Jeff Healey fan and was happy to see him get some great recognition thanks to Eric .
I didn't even notice the shirt. Very cool!!! Loved Jeff. Used to go see him at Harpo's in Victoria, BC.
@@hughsnyder891 Sad to think both SRV and Healy are gone. Hopefully Larkin Poe and Sammy Fish will carry the female blues torches.
Yeah, me too, cool tribute to JHB , that' s right !
@@hughsnyder891 Thanx for the kind praise of Jeff Healey. We Canadians take tremendous pride from the legend that is Jeff. He was an incredibly talented artist. He was also an extremely humble & classy human being.
Awesome rendition of a blues gem. Been following Larkin Poe for awhile now and its great to see them getting some recognition that they deserve.
Corey Mihailiuk yes, constantly sharing thier tunes w others, - all blown away
those girls show how to play real blues $ rock not that hip hop bs.and rap shit
Now Joe can say he has played with Larkin Poe...
That would be braggin´on his part.
He ain´t all the way there yet. :)
Girl got some pipes!
More like "lickin pole"
😂
@Mauricio Schwarz
And he will, it's just the kind of guy Joe is. Despite all his status he's still just a humble guy, who just lives to play guitar and doesn't mind doing a step back to let others shine, as his cooperation with Beth Hart made very clear.
Larkin Poe have added another dimension to the blues. Very few have achieved this including good ‘ol Joe. Love ‘em.
Ive been watching these ladies for just a couple days, but every single video has blown me away. They are incredible .
just got a grammy
Larkin Poe showing Joe how it's done.
Doesn't get any better than these talented folks!
He knows how lucky he is to jam with them.
Larkin Poe are two grand kids, but I still think playin' with Joe pushes any artist to a new extreme. Now if the 3 of you come up here on top of the world and record under the Northern lights....!
Man that performance was AWESOME.
Rebecca and Joe's voices suond perfect toghether
Megan, you outdid yourself on that lap steel this time. 🖒
keeps adding tape to hold that old Rickenbacker together, and keeps getting better. (and she's been the best for awhile)
I had never heard of Larkin Poe. Now I am going to follow the youtube path after them. What a lovely thing to find.
I seen the Paul Shaffer Band in 1966 in Thunder Bay Ontario my first concert and his hometown. He backed up the Animals I was 10 years old and been rockin ever since :-) Peace
Awesome, Megan puts her heart and soul into that Lapsteel, sound so good
Yep, absolutely love her playing. Rebecca sounded awful on this song though, besides screwing up the words. Odd, normally I think she has the best rock/blues voice in her generation but I did not enjoy her version of this.
call somebody who fucking cares ass wipe!
John R Sorlie Love that term for the guitar. Never heard it before. Lapsteel. Yep conjures all sorts of wicked mindful things and then you actually get to see Megan playing it and my mind has been blown. Wow.
Garden Gnome I’m just surprised, never heard Rebecca flub lyrics or sing less than wonderfully. And totally agree about Megan, she’s one of the best. She could hang with Jerry Douglass.
@iconoclast Ah, gotcha.
Larkin Poe extremely talented! Holding their own with Joe on stage pretty cool. Joe playing his Robin Trower style solo.
call the Blues choir, git up and testify ! meet you later at the juke joint for some stompin' & shakin'....Megan's lap steel work is FIRE !
Megan just kills it on the lap! Love it!!! The whole band is just tops!
Maybe Rickenbacker will take a tip from her cos she re-invented the thing by adding that special holder so it's easier to play standing up?
Never heard of them before. Good Lord that woman can sing!
If you love music, then check them out. They have 4 albums. Every song is good. I'll be shocked if Venom & Faith is not nominated for a Grammy this year.
Just found the sisters myself abt 6 months ago. Have enjoyed everything they do. Esp Preachin Blues
I had never heard of them before either ... Until they opened for Bob Seger in Atlanta 2018. These girls are awesome. As soon as they started their set you could see everyone picking up their phones to Google them. I was/am very impressed 🎶😊
@@sturgisbaby9050 They are the real deal.
Howling Wolf would die for this
Paul Shaffer... watching him play remind me back in the day when late night was cool
Bad (good) to the bone. Larkin Poe makes my heart soar. They inspire, they bring smiles. The other musicians kick it. Fine collaboration.
BEautifully filmed - Thank you Natasha!!
As a guy from Europe, I have to say that this is a great time to hear some live music in the US. So many great blues/rock artists out there at the moment.
This was actually on a cruise ship somewhere in the middle of the Caribbean Sea, but yes, indeed, so many great acts!
I love these sisters
They all killed it, obviously, but Megan's solo was the absolute best.
God damned - those two ladies are truly preaching the blues!
Jeff Healey t-shirt? Nice homage! Great slide picking, too!
Wow! To be invited to play on stage with Joe Bonamassa, that's awesome
Well done girls
Larkin Poe forever
That talentless pissant totally ran over these woman who have actual talent.
I don't understand why Joe is all that. Yes he's good but as far as I am concerned Jeff Beck is much better 🎸 player
Agreeee!!
Talking Bread - Maybe he’s not your cup of tea (Joe?), but calling him “talentless” shows your ignorance. And the plural is “women”, FFS.
@@talkingbread2012 I love finding these comments, because they make no sense. At what point did he run over them? How is he not talented? He sang a bit, took a solo, and the rest of the jam was theirs.
These 2 are the real thing. Awesome.
To me, it's almost like they're playing different songs. Joe is playing a Cream song; LP are playing a Willie Dixon song. Megan--my God, but she owns this!
WOW this is so amazing. Larkin Poe forever!!!!!!!
It's great to see Larkin Poe playing with Joe Bonamassa . They deserve that recognition.
Larkin Poe play in Paris, the13 March (La Maroquinerie).
I'll be there. it wille be awesome.
Love this Young Ladies . Nice to see Blues isnt Dead yet .
Striking Gold these two! 😮🎉…breathing life back into mainstream blues.
215 people didnt like this? I'll never understand why Beyonce or Bieber fans even come to these videos.
its the whole white people playing the "blues" thing ...
devicex62 at least someone still plays them. You got Gary Clark, Jr. and Christone Kingfish and that's about it. Everyone else is either a white boy or an old establishment.
ok, now that is funny!
@@devicex62 Music is now color coded, in your eyes? Thats sad.
It's OK. PPl like different stuff. But, thumbs dwn? Just move on.
Willie Dixon was the architect of the blues 💙 👌 🙌 👏 😳 😍.
That slide solo absolutely RIPPED
❤🔥
no really...
From France : really love Larkin Poe / Born in 1950, I play guitar and sometimes I sing on stage for 1965, and Spoonfull (Creams) came to the ears of our group in 1968. It was one of my favorite, since allowing me to do the way Eric Clapton did at this time. I deeply respect Rebecca ( the energy of her voice and her guitars), and Megan (she holds the mastery of her Lap steel with a sound that would make all the wolves in the world sing), and both of them are beautiful and perfect in their music. Respects to Larkin Poe and to Joe Bonamassa (the lucky man).
If only three guitars are these three.
It's still GUITARMAGEDDON. 🎸🎸🎸
There was a fourth guitar behind Joe.
...And with their usual casualness Rebecca and Megan hit it out of the ball park.
Oh,yeah, by the way,- Joe Bonamassa was there too....
Awesome! Great to see Larkin Poe hold their own with the master
That blonde showed up Bonamassa like bad, man that was awesome, man that is an awesome tone on that slide.
Got to be one of the best lap steel solo's EVER - JUST A PITY IT WASN'T LONGER - well done Megan
Every time I here a new song or see such pizazz, I fall in love with these dolls of soul again.
Encore!...
Sisters rocked it!!!!!!!
HOLY SHIT.......... so cool Legends have discovered these 2 talented girls.
I reiterate my words : "From France : I really love Larkin Poe / Born in 1950, I play guitar and sometimes I sing on stage for 1965, and Spoonfull (Creams) came to the ears of our group in 1968. It was one of my favorite, because allowing me to do the way Eric Clapton did at this time.
Megan totally steals the show.... all hail the Slide Queen!
Great performance, her slide guitar is, as usual outstanding.
Cream would be happy with this.
The two sisters are amazing, what a breath of fresh air to the world of Blues
This cruise is #1 on my bucket list, man oh man at the music!!!
One detail that doesn't go unnoticed is the T-shirt of her honoring the master of lap steel guitar Jeff Healey, blind since childhood who had his career interrupted due to cancer of the eyes. Great music!
Jeff played lap steel infrequently. He usually played a Strat and fretted the notes, but he played with his fretting hand over the top of the neck.I've seen him live many times.
@@Slicklickz For sure, to say that he was remarkable in lap steel don't mean that he was a mono-instrument artist. ;)
@@FernandoSantucci Even playing a Strat he was usually sitting with it on his lap,so it looked like he was playing a lap steel. He was one of the very few players that approached Hendrix's level with the tremolo bar and feedback control. His bends,as well as his vibrato, were insane because of the extra leverage he got by playing over the top of the neck.
Slicklickz Thanks. I thought his style of playing was how he first learned to play. Sure do miss him.
what, a commercial?
Wooa. Made my hair stand on end. What charisma, atmosphere, musicianship. Thnx, just love it
I recently found Larkin Poe and now have loads of their music . . . a really great duo. Everything from Americana folk blues to hell-breathing rock.
Wonderful to see two young women matching and dueling with the legends.
Megan's slide-playing sends shivers.
Love Joe's shirt ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Paul and Joe, thank you. You two are legends, and we love Larkin Poe.
Pure class !!!!!! That slide guitar 🏆
Joe listening to you play in a true adventure for me and you are the best guitar player ever !
Great tune...slide work took me to another place!
I am still levitating!❤️❤️❤️ Joe bringing it on home! Yeah!
I love Larkn Poe an Joe, to see them all up jamming is amazing!
Great jam. Diggin' the nod to "Jeff Healey".
Love these women, they keep the blues alive
Good to see the kids playing the classics
Larkin Poe is Awesome, cant get enough of their sounds ♡
Megan's chorus is groovy like hell ! Hi from France :)
Love the Jeff Healey shirt! Classic song really fun rendition! Great to see so many female blues players warms my heart ❤️
They all killed this classic
So GREAT to see some women for a change. About time...sure there's been "lots" of women rocking for a long time. But not NEARLY ENOUGH. YOU GO GIRLS.
Have alook at Sadie Johnson, Ana Popovic, Danielle Nicole. The list goes on and on.
Sue Foley
Really liked the Lovell Sisters, and now Rebecca and Megan are definitely all grown up!
man this is REAL MUSIC!!!!!
If this doesn't give you goosebumps there's something wrong w you.
I didn’t know I needed this in my life. Thanks CZcams! 👍🏻
This is literally the most badass thing I have ever heard.
Absolutely outstanding love LP Joe Bonamassa 💙
One hell of a lot of TALENT on that stage immediately came to my mind when I was watching this MASTERFUL PERFORMANCE ! I’m certain they have all worked their butts off playing but pre-existing innate talent sure helps AS WELL ! What ever it is that it is when you’ve got it, they’ve sure got it 😆😂😂😂
Amazing and agressive beautiful blues band !
Great to see the young un's getting into the old stuff. There may be a glimmer of hope for us yet.
There are numerous clips of them doing 'old stuff' on YT. Personally, I prefer the ones where it is just Rebecca and Megan, no band.
Hell yeah! I'm sure you've heard of the Marcus King Band...another one to watch out for is The Trongone Band out of VA - they kick ass. Or Christone Kingfish Ingram - he's badass too
Saw LarkinPoe in Newcastle last weekend. Totally amazing blues renditions. The future of blues definitely.
Fantastic line up of music and talent.....nothing like what you hear lately on the radio ! After watching countless vids of Joe's, I have come to the conclusion that he is either a robot or an alien....nobody plays as great as him on the planet !!
Love the Jeff Healy shirt may he R. I. P
I just love the parts of this that are just them all enjoying playing music to each other, like a little blues conversation, and they are just loving it. If that doesn't inspire a desire to learn music, I dont know what does! It's not about who can do the best solo, its about the energy that brings folk together!
Great rendition! Not to take anything away but my favorite is Alvin Lee & Ten Years After. Blues Rock On...
A talented person is talented in everything: he attracts talent from all over the world, thanks Joe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great playing, Love the Jeff Healey shirt Megan!
Rebecca and Megan have a great t shirt collection!
41 people have no clue what great music and guitar work is.
Willie Dixon wrote so many excellent songs and this is just one of them.
Beauty and talent . These ladies are awesome
Professionals at their craft. Love Mr. Shaffer, Mr. B. and those fabulous sisters.
Would have been the thrill of a life time to be on that cruise.
I was.
Natasha you beautiful woman you.Thank you for sharing. We appreciate it.
Peace.
Three great musicians of our time.
